i dint recieve Android 4.2.2 update till date on my TAB 2 P3100
its still running 4.1.2
i am from india and its a contract free TAB2
any1 from India got 4.2.2 update...
shall i try via Kies
coz am not getting via OTA

Nope the stock 4.2.2 is not yet available in India ...just try any stock , rooted , deodexed 4.2.2 roms(say psn 4.2.2 or sungsonic hd v4):good:
Best brick-proof idea is to just wait, you dont always need the newest version
seems like tab2 is coming up with ANDROID 4.3

Not avaliable officially yet last official version avaliable 4.04 may be in the future considering device is newly released but you could try cm10 preview not finished and still experimental but has gelly bean 4.1
side note do not forget to update cwm to version 6 before update to cm10 also take note that nandroid backups made by cwm 5 will note restore by cwm6

Your in the wrong forum, but if you go here http://www.samsung-updates.com choose your model, you'll be able to flash any ROM for your device that you want via KIES?

You're still in the wrong forum. And no, you can't put "any" other firmware on your tab - you can only install firmware for the specific model that you own.
Please ask in the Galaxy Tab 2 forums.

Looks like there are loads of Jelly Bean firmware available, you can flash any of them but obviously there are differences between them, regarding the region they're from.
There may already be one out for the region you're in/from you could flash that, then any subsequent OTA firmware for that region will apply to you. You will probably have to do a full wipe though for the CSC to be applied..

High everybody. i just rooted my tab 2 10.1 p1500 running android 4.1.2 a month ago. now, i would like to unroot it as the android 4.2.2 has been announced to be out next month. i tried to check the auto updater but it says 'Your Device has been modified. Software updates are not available'. So does anyway know where can i download the Stock Official Firmware for Tab 2 P1500 (4.1.2) China Region? thanks in advance

has samsung roll out 4.2.2 update for SGST2 i even went to service center they said 4.2.2 is not available for SGST2 yet but i read in forum that SGST2 has got 4.2.2 update
my other question is that will samsung provide us official 4.3.1 update or we will be stuck at 4.1.2 (4.2.2)

4.2.2 is not that great. 4.1.1 is the best. 4.1.2 is meh.

Depends on the country and carrier. See for yourself -- screenshot from SamMobile. You don't have to wait, just grab what's available in other countries.

Correct. I am just saying that what you read in the forum about 4.2.2 update is true -- it's available. But not officially for your country at this time. Happens all the time for all devices (phones and tablets) -- some regions and/or carriers are getting official updates much later than others, and some are not getting them at all...
The best way to get the 4.2.2 update is to flash the 4.2.2 firmware for the variant of your device ( any country) through odin because there is no chance of voiding the warranty here !! And yeah i too agree about 4.1.2 being better but the 4.2.2 ver. Has a greater RAM !!

Because it is considered obsolete. Anyway, we've had jellybean, kitkat, and ics too, I think. That's 3 different versions.

hello guys.. im from tanzania, south africa.. i got galaxy s2 plus gt i1905 android v4.1.2 and i have rooted it.. but now i want to flash custom roms but when i go to any custom rom thread.. it says, u have to be on android version 4.2 to flash any custom rom?? and i gues in my counrty 4.2 is not out.. is der any other way to upgrade my phone to lollipop...??
