I think Svoice is only allowed to access the stock calendar from Samsung.

Make Google Calendar the Default

Anybody know how to do this, it is extremely annoying to have to remember to select google calendar every time you make an entry.
http://androidforums.com/samsung-ca...-calendar-default-when-adding-new-events.html
Has anyone figured this out yet? I HATE that I can not change this to default to google's calendar instead of "my calendar"
I agree this is really annoying. I've had to go back and change multiple entries because I forgot to make that adjustment when creating an event.
However in the link above someone made the suggestion of downloading Jorte calendar because it has setting to make google the default. Did you guys give that a try?

I tried Jorte, don't really like it to be honest, feels a bit cluttered and unintuitive to me.
Still waiting for a better alternative...

I'm using Jorte right now. I like the widgets that can display my calendar on the home screen. However, the settings are cryptic at best, and the buttons in the app don't have labels and seem to do different things with each press...
However, it is worth it to have my calendar correctly sync with google without me having to re-select the calendar for each new appointment. I make a LOT of appointments on my phone, and when I realized they weren't syncing, I had to change a LOT of appointments.
Has anyone found a better solution to this bug yet?

Bump for this one. Is this something that would need changed at the OS level? I.e., no quick fix via a small app
Devs, we are calling you!!!!!!!

i'm using gemini calendar. it works great and has some other features.
This is fixed in the new 2.2 update; you can completely disable the "my calendar" app and use the stock google calendar and widget.

Voice Calendar

Does anybody know of an app that allows a voice recording to be added to a calendar? I want to make a recording and have it play on the day. That way I can make a quick note to remind me to do something on that day.
Thanks!!

Sync or Refresh app?

Do you have any recommendations for an app / widget that syncs or refreshes the phone apps and accounts? Especially gmail.
I used to have a HTC Sensation which came with the "sync all" widget. But I cannot find anything to use on my Note.

Isn't Gmail push already? I could be wrong but I'm sure a Gmail account is continually syncing?
Yes gmail is push but I choose to disable auto sync and only refresh the accounts in specific times of the day. That's why I need an app that will update all my accounts at once when requested.
Any suggestions?

Try ACalender+
If its because you like the S Planner widgets, Jorte is another excellent alternative. I've only just moved to CM10 because I found this.

ACalender seems nice, I'll try it.
Thanks !
Using paranoid Rom, with the Google calendar set to 213dpi, you get a superb view of all your accounts, month and weekly time planner, a great widget and you can black it all out with inverted gapps, it's quick and simple for me works better than all the others I've tried.

Tell me if I'm wrong, but the google calendar doesn't display the title of events. And I want this feature.
I've just tried ACalendar (free version), and it is really good. The views are perfect !
Jorte also not bad

Thats why I said set to 213, in month view you get text titles and week you get a small month box etc...if you set dpi larger then you loose this
I can recommend Pocket Informant. It comes with lots of.features and different views. And it's very convenient to use.

Google Calendar App vs S Planner

Have you tried the recently launched Google Calendar App?
http://officialandroid.blogspot.com/2012/10/bringing-google-calendar-to-play-store.html
I find it smoother an cleaner than S Planner, so I'm giving it a try. I don't know if will interfere with each other, for instance, with calendar notifications, but, just in case, I froze S Planner using TIB.
Do you like it? Will you keep it?
What is S Planner :silly:
Nice to be able to have core google calendar on a Sammy ROM, yet I really like s planner, something that's lacking on cm roms
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
S Planner is optimized for s pen. Specially dragging and moving the item. But google calender not allow me the same. it is better alternative in non touchwiz N7000 ROM
i'm with paranoidandroid and using google calendar, best calendar app, even if you have s planner
In S-Planner I can see the labels
I tried Google Calendar. I Didn't like because the month view shows colors but not the labels of the events, like S-Planer do.

Yep, for Google Agenda in ParanoidAndroid Rom, I've set 230 DPI for Size and a layout of 600 px, It's awsome like that Forget Suck Planner
I'm using Business Calendar. I think it's brilliant. Very nice layout, especially on the Note. You can zoom the view, which is very nice. Good widgets too.
I bought the app in the end to get rid of the adds, but I think it was during a promotion so I might only have paid 10cents...

Wish someone could mod this apk to run at tab ui on any rom w/o changing build.prop - ie,from within the app itself
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk 2
I was using S-planner on my old ICS rom, near the end of it I switched back to Google Calendar. You can use both at the same time they don't interfere with notifications or anything.
S-planner looked more pretty. If the one on JB rom works properly I'll probably switch back.
Ots galaxy note's calendar...
