I am using android 4.0.3 tablet and gtlak version:4.0.4-338691. I am facing issue while using audio\video chat, I can do text chat. If I initiate voice call either from my side or from my frnds I will get error message " unfortunately talk has stopped ". I have tried different version of gtalk as well, but it is not helped.
Looking forward a solution.
This model Tablet has front& rear camera and skype working facing issue with gtalk .

I've installed Gtalk 1.3 from the post bellow on rooted 2.3.3using Root Explorer)

However the quality of voice calls aren't as good as the PC version of Gtalk. There's always a "tick tick tick" noise and sometimes the my voice isn't good quality at other end.
I'm just wondering if anyone has found a combination of android builds and Gtalk versions that works fine on P1000 galaxy tab. at least one that has a decent voice quality.

Does it work perfectly or there are some features not working?
for example the one i have installed on my 2.3.3 android, have some annoying bugs. after i make a video call i have to disonnect wifi and reconnect, otherwise i don't receive any notifications or alerts when someone calls me or sends me a text, i cant call anyone either, basically it just shows me online while gtalk does not function at all. also mute button doesn't work and switching from front to back camera causes a force close.
for future reference, i installed overcome 4.1.0 android 2.3.6 and gtalk with audio/video comes pre-installed. video on both side is smooth with good frame rate. camera switch works fine. the only problems are the mute button which doesn't work and the list of friends that doesn't refresh after a long voice/video chat, needs a re-login. other than these 2 problems,works great.
Hey folks,
when i do a video call with the front facing cam and then press the home button to bring skype into the background, the video transfer stops while the voice transfer still works.
As soon as i open the skype app again, the video starts transfering automatically.
With my old Galaxy W i could do skype video calling in the background, why isnt it possible with galaxy r? Are you facing the same problem?
I am on 2.3.5 stock.

Is it a bug that gtalk makes sound when someone writes even if it is already opened? For example three messages in a row from the same person, and even If I am starring and gtalk it keeps beeping three times. On 4.0.4 gtalk I got only one beep, and if the program were opened I did not get sound at all.
How to change this?
Experienced on Sensation and Galaxy S3.

Can some body help with this problem, when i answer on viber call no body cant hear me and I also cant! Messages work as well. Viber version 4.0, previos version not works also.

it working well during calls and everything but when i record a voice in normal moe , it not works, while in meeting mode recorder works well.
again in google talk and whatsapp calling it not work completely .
