I flashed CM on my one x (latest stable build) and I was wondering if there was a way to install the ROM control tweaks that some have baked in to their aosp ROMs.

I'm looking to overclock my stock rooted g2x, which kernel is best for doing so?
I like faux123 kernals for stock roms.

I've had luck with Faux's kernels too. He has tons of kernels out, so be careful which one you pick. There are a total of 8.
Stock Based Roms
- PreOC/UV vs SV (stock volt)
- DS vs CM battery driver
CM7 Based Roms
- PreOC/UV vs SV (stock volt)
- DS vs CM battery driver
Best to start with a SV kernel. Some phones (all that I've tried) won't boot with his preOverclocked/Undervolted kernels and roms.
I'm using a de-sensed Elegancia ROM.
So I'm quite frustrated on which type of Sultan's kernel I should be using.
By right it should be the one with SENSE.
But the one with JB&AOSP ICS works too.
PS: Using the Nova Launcher provided in the Elegancia ROM
Difference I found is that when I flash in the JB&AOSP ICS version of Sultan's kernel, I get more free RAM.(Using most aggressive minfree).
And its slightly a bit more responsive than SENSE version.
Thought's guys?
If you have a sense based ROM you should use Sense version of sultan's kernel, no matter if you desensed it or not . If you have have a AOSP ROM you have to use the no sense version. Don't invent You may run into problems.

If you de-sense the main base will always be the same (sense) so you have to flash the Sense kernel

You must use each kernel with the base it is designed for. For example, when you use my AOSP kernel with a Sense ROM, USB connectivity doesn't work (go ahead and try connecting your phone to a computer right now and see what happens). Also, graphical performance is better with my kernels when they are used with the bases they are designed for, meaning that you get better graphics performance when you use my Sense kernel with a Sense ROM and my AOSP kernel with an AOSP ROM.
Bottom line, I have 2 different kernels for a reason, so use each kernel with the base it is designed for.
Thanks everyone! No wonder even while playing low ended games its slow.

One X Original Android Development has all the aosp kernels
for android 4.1.2 you can use
[KERNEL][12/31] rohan.kernel.b7 [Linux 3.0.57][GCC 4.7][2.0ghz][S2W][INTELLI][SIO]
[Kernel][2/03] jac0b.b7.1
for android 4.1.2 and android 4.2.2 you can use
[KERNEL] vz-oc kernel: CM10.1 overclocking, normal & Linaro builds
is it possible to bring stock camera on custom roms????
sense based - yes
aosp, aokp based - no
Or install vipers, and remove all sense bloat and run nova launcher instead.

I'm kind of a newbie, I just know how to flash roms and what not. Are there currently any roms for the One S that have the look of Sense 5 preferably Android 4.2.2. I have found some but there are way too many bugs. I am big wifi tether user, so I need that and camera to definitely work. Also, what is the newest (stable) rom for the One S?
Most stable Rom are the STOCK ROM......

No Sense based 4.2.2 because we haven't got the kernel for that working yet. All Sense 5 ROMs have no working Bluetooth or Wi-Fi tether. I wouldn't consider any third party ROM on here as "stable". Closest thing would probably be CyanogenMod 10.1.

I'm using UnKnown's Rom, it has sense 5 icons, it is stock plus all the stuff he did to it. The battery life is killer. It's as stable as stock.
