G Voice on leaked JB - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Since I've upgraded to the VZW leaked JB from ICS my google voice FCs. I use it to dial intl. I tried different stock roms (Beans, Synergy, Clean). It does the same in all of them.
After I dial the number and pres call, the screen goes black and then I receive the FC from GV but it continues to dial and the call goes through.
Obviously I cannot use GV to call. It does not appear as an option when I try to dial.
If I disable GV completely then everything goes smooth.
Ideas?

Google Voice problems on 2.x ROMS

Anyone else having issues ?
I setup Google Voice as normal, and I only use if for international numbers.
When I try and make a call, GV starts, but then Sprint kicks in and tells me I cannot make calls to this number ?
Weirdly, it's not happening in Gumbo 1.5c which was my daily use ROM.
I am trying this on RegawMOD 2.0
I haven't heard of a good solution yet.
Does anyone know if GV works properly on the N1 and the Droid? Those two phones are "officially" running 2.1 now.
Wondering if it's a problem with 2.1 across the board, or if the problem only occurs on custom roms.....
For now what I've been doing if I really need a call to go out via google voice is just initiating the call through the web page. Not the best workaround, but it gets the job done.
The only "work-around" is that I can make calls through the web (use the browser), but I can't receive calls. I do receive pushed sms.
Install GV 2.0 (search forfor link), works like a charm on every 2.x I've used.
yupp.only version working is .2.thats what im using
In Damage's new thread (based on new Sprint Leak) there is a post that says this:

Works for me on DC2r2 although I was getting the same message at first. I had never used it before so I thought I just could dial the number straight out like a regular call but it doesn't work that way. You gotta call your GV number first then there is an option to make an international call. Press that option and enter the number and you should be good.
I have my phone set for GV to make my international calls only though. Don't know if setting it for all calls would allow me to dial the international number directly and not have to call my GV number.

Google voice

Upgraded to 2.2 on my Samsung Moment, when I had 2.1 and dialed a number I could choose between calling with/without google voice.
After installing voice on 2.2 I lost that option, doesn't even have that option within the application like it used to, i'm stuck dialing out with my voice number yet I can receive calls on my sprint and my voice numbers, and I can text with both numbers.
So confused..
Any ideas?

Google Voice stopped working after updating to 4.0.4

when i am receiving a call it goes to my att voicemail instead of gvoice. when i try changing my call voicemail settings to google voice, i get an error that says. could not change could not change your call forward settings. failed to retreive and save current number forwarding settings.
When i bought my hox a few months ago, i had an issue getting google voice to work. after reading the thread on xda i managed to get it working. however, i just noticed that my google voice is no longer working, and i think it stopped working after my phone updated to 4.0.4 when i tried the same instructions that i used in the old xda thread. it didnt work.
edit: gvoice started working again. played with the settings for awhile, not sure what i did to make it work.
I've given up on gv because everytime I flash a rom it screws up gv and I got tired of having to jump through hoops to get it set up again. Sad because I really liked it.

Google Voice still works fine even on 4.0.4, but you can't simply choose it in your phone's settings. Instead, after you download and install the app, open it, and go through the normal configuration. You'll choose to set Google Voice as the voicemail app, it'll reject it, etc. After it's done, you need to set call forwarding by dialing *004*1-area code-google voice number-#. Then hit call. It'll briefly flash an imei code message, and then say call forwarding successful.
For instance, if my google voice number was 321-456-7890, I would dial *004*13214567890#.
That's it. If you then look in your dialer settings, it's still not going to show google voice as your voicemail app, but it doesn't matter. It will function fine. You don't have to do anything else.
I'm somewhat of a flashoholic, and I do the exact same procedure every time I flash a new rom, and have never had a single problem with google voice, including on 4.0.4 based roms.

I've only done all this once since getting this phone. Ive flashed many ROMs since. All I do when I get a new ROM setup is install voice, allow access, go to call -> settings and set Google voice as voicemail. It will "fail" but my voicemail always redirects to GV.
But excellent advice for those who haven't done this at all.

There's another way to do this. It doesn't change the voicemail number but it does work.
1. Open settings
2. Go to "Call"
3. open "Call forwarding", it will say Reading settings... for a few seconds.
4. Change "Forward when busy", "Forward when unanswered", and "Forward when unreachable" to your OWN google voice number.
5. Ensure that "Always forward" is "Disabled"
6. Profit
That way you're forwarding to google voice even if the voicemail settings are not correct.
Cheers

Hangouts is calling via carrier number not Voice number suddenly

Out of the blue when I called my coworker she said that I was calling from a different number. I checked it out and its dialing via my carrier number and not my google voice number.
I've changed nothing in hangouts for this to happen...texts still come in and go from my google voice number via hangouts but calls, either initiated via the stock dialer OR hangouts uses my carriers number..
When I dial my voice number on another phone my phone rings like normal..
Things get wierd when my dad told me he texted me. I never got it. Just randomly going to voice.google.com showed that the text was there even though I've enabled SMS in hangouts, so nothing should show in voice.google.com now..
Whats going on? I've tried reinstalling hangouts, killing the dialer and hangouts rebooted, and even flashed my phone to the newest 4.4.4 on my phone to no avail... Any and all help would be greatly appreciated right now because this can cause a headache for me potentially..
-UPDATE- I have to have the Google Voice app installed now for all my calls to go through my Google Voice number, and I didn't have to do that even 24 hours ago..

[Q] Possible to replace stock dialer with Hangouts Dialer?

With the recent release of the Hangouts Dialer, I finally decided to go all in with Google Voice for all my calls/texts.
I was successfully able to update my phone's settings so that any calls/texts coming in to my Google Voice number go into the new Hangouts Dialer app. However, if someone calls my regular T-Mobile number, the stock dialer is still used to receive the call. My question is, has anyone figured out how to use the Hangouts Dialer with their carrier phone number? And if you have figured this out, is it as simple as disabling the stock dialer to ensure it never intercepts any calls?
Removing the stock dialler will prevent the phone booting. I'm not sure at what point in the boot process package manager "freezes" apps but I would suggest disabling the dialer is a really bad idea.
As for the rest of your question, not sure.

Thanks for the heads up. After digging around, it looks like my best current solution is just to make sure everyone I stay in contact with uses my GV number instead. Any calls/texts coming in through my T-Mobile number will just continue to go through the stock dialer.

when I 1st installed the hangouts dialer I wanted the same, & wonder why the hangouts dialer code simply couldn't be baked into the native one (maybe in L?)
*BUT* I found in the mean time -
Its the stock phone dialer app.

even with gv, carrier number integration, why we (on sprint) get the double ringing on incoming calls, unless the sprint sim is removed, or cellular data is turned off..
look at what *com.qualcomm.qcrilmsgtunnel* is tied to..
