I need a Flash Player to watch videos on HTC Explorer. Which is the best ?
Or should I install a browser ? If yes, which one ?
Why do you post that question here? This section belongs to HTC droid DNA.
Any way to answer your question, just try installing Adobe flash player.

Hi there, one of my friend has a HTC desire and a HTC sensation, and both comes with a stock ROM that includes a program called "task manager". I'm wondering why my desire s does not comes with that? Do I need to download from HTC website by myself? My friend told me that the program is from HTC and it is include even in stock ROM. Please help.
you can get it from somecustom ROMs such as LBC MOD, Virtuous Unity...
Download the ROM from Desire S Android Development sub-forum, unzip it and get the taskmanager.apk from system/app, copy it to your phone with stock rom and install it.

Thanks!, but will it mess up my phone? since I'm not using any custom ROMs and it is still S-ON. Will it work like it should? Thanks
edit: I tried installing on my desire s, the installation was successful, but once I open it, it forced close on me. Any idea?

Hi, semi-noob android tweaker here...
I've been customizing my WFS by replacing all the HTC side of the Android software. I'd like to know what stock HTC crud I can remove without rendering it a paperweight.
Everything but the lockscreen has been replaced (I tried using one from the market but it reverted after a reboot).
Most of the major replacements are from the GO team selection, do they rely on the core HTC stuff to work?
I apologise in advance, I have already posted a similar question in the WFS forum, but it seems quite dead in there.....

Take a look at my ROM Cleaner tool, link in signature.
Spend a few minutes to read and you are ready to go...
This will work on all HTC devices but please read the requirements in the first post.

Thanks for the quick reply. I will have a looksee.
I'm not sure if it would work with my WFS, as I'm having to use this version of CWM recovery. Unless you know of a more compatible recovery system....
The more I type, the more n00bish I sound....

I suggest you try it
I load every command in the updater-script from my own busybox, so recovery should not be that important anymore... Let's see

Just one more quick question, can I run it on my ROM as it is now or do I have to reflash with a factory ROM and start again?

You can flash it now but you might need to wipe htc sense data.
Also the supported method is to flash it before first boot it will clean up your ROM better this way
I suggest you post your future questions in my thread from now on...
Good luck!

They will when they see it. Okay ill answer your questions ;p
1. in the development section is a list of radios(with the newest one), use the search button ;p
2. There are also tutorials of s-offing your device , but ya know google is your friend, try searching for htc desire painless s-off , or going directly to the alpharev.nl site

Ya, I was hoping a dev would take this on as well. Also the HTC News app (not genie) would be good as well
HTC ereader
I now upgraded to HTC OneX
it is missing the ereader which came in by default on Sensation XE
can some one please submit the .apk
will be real thankful
E-Reader and News attached.
Don't see any reason why installing the APK's shouldn't just work unless there's some lib or something missing.
Cannot install these APKs.
heir; ststuty
Thank you for quick apk
Both are with message " X Application not Installed "
Please suggest.
You need the htc greader.so data
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE using XDA
HTC One X eReader
So we install both greader & ereader
Please help me with the process.
Will try to load it with gnews app and post the update
Both apps are unable to to be install
do please suggest an alternative
Download the attached file and change the extension to .so
Try push the attached file to /system/lib using ADB or a File Manager in root mode and set the permissions to whatever the other files are in /system/lib.
So I need to root my phone to proceed ?
