Hi guys, i've noticed theres no HTC eReader in the sense 4.0 ROMs, i was just wondering if someone could explain how / create a flashable zip that would allow me to port it into the sense 4.0 ROMs.

Ya, I was hoping a dev would take this on as well. Also the HTC News app (not genie) would be good as well

it is missing the ereader which came in by default on Sensation XE
can some one please submit the .apk
will be real thankful
E-Reader and News attached.
Don't see any reason why installing the APK's shouldn't just work unless there's some lib or something missing.

Download the attached file and change the extension to .so
Try push the attached file to /system/lib using ADB or a File Manager in root mode and set the permissions to whatever the other files are in /system/lib.

Hi there, one of my friend has a HTC desire and a HTC sensation, and both comes with a stock ROM that includes a program called "task manager". I'm wondering why my desire s does not comes with that? Do I need to download from HTC website by myself? My friend told me that the program is from HTC and it is include even in stock ROM. Please help.
you can get it from somecustom ROMs such as LBC MOD, Virtuous Unity...
Download the ROM from Desire S Android Development sub-forum, unzip it and get the taskmanager.apk from system/app, copy it to your phone with stock rom and install it.

edit: I tried installing on my desire s, the installation was successful, but once I open it, it forced close on me. Any idea?

The arrows just drive me nuts.... Is there any way I can get this keyboard (the one you posted) to work on my MyTouch to replace the other one?

Probably no because Sensation have a qhd display. But, you can install HTC_IME.APK from desire or desire HD.

can someone please help me with specific adb commands? i used adb shell to mount /system/app as r/w then i pushed HTC_IME.apk. what do i do now? i still cant install it.

hey guys, quick question... i took the HTC_IME.apk out of my rom I was using...and I knew it had chinese support on my old rom. I used adb to push it to /system/apps on my new rom(there was no HTC_IME.apk in this rom).
now, I can select the stock keyboard in settings...but when I go into international, i can choose from like 30 languages, but not chinese. how do i get chinese enabled on my phone? also, in languages for the phone, you can only choose english and spanish. (the beast rom)... do i have to have chinese installed somewhere else first before it will show up in my keyboard settings? thanks all!
what's the adb commands to install this keyboard....
and also do I need to put Apk in the platform tools. Thanks

Does anyone have htc_ime.apk WITH arrows for qHD resolution (for Sensation) ?
I'm coming from Desire where I'm used to use trackpad a lot while typing text and I think this keyboard with arrows can be solid replacement for trackpad.
Swiftkey keyboard is available in the market and it's HTC keyboard on steroids. Try it out.

Can someone post the Htc Keyboard with the Arrows for me, Please...
I extracted the HTC keyboard APK from my insertcoin ROM with root uninstaller pro by making a backup of it. If you wanna try it out then give it a shot but I don't guarantee it will work or anything, and I'm not responsible for any problems or anything you get. Here it is:

it does work you have to be on tmobile for it to work i have it working on a eu rom but i am on tmobile
Tried on InsertCoin 2.2.2 on tmous. Got an unsupported device error. Didn't xxx with my cid.

You have to edit build prop to show HTC Sensation 4G instead of Sensation with the Z number. Edit those aspects, along with commenting out a reference to Europe Pyramid, reboot and it works. I am a paid user of the app and have used it on EVERY ROM posted here on XDA. Since the build prop files are slightly different on many of these roms I am giving only a general guide. It does work for every rom. You just have to have YOUR current ROM appear to be a stock TMobile user. Editing the build prop won't affect anything else regarding these specific edits. I uploaded my file I am currently using with SenselessExtreme. Just look for any of those references that do NOT match up to an HTC Sensation4G but say Sensation Z710e and change.

I'm on SENSEaY XE's current ROM and trying to get T-mo TV to work. But no matter what I try I can't get it to work. Since most build.prop files are different, does any using this ROM have this app working and if so how did you do it?

There is just one line to edit:
ro.product.model=HTC Sensation 4G
...all build.prop may be different, but they all have that line. Change whatever it is to what is shown above.

Thanks, drivn2fast! I figured it would be something simple. Just an FYI to anyone else out there that is trying to do the same.... use either ES File Explorer or Root Explorer to make the changes. I tried a built-in file manager from the ROM and it wouldn't work.
I read the advice drivn2fast gave and I found what he is talking about. I found it on Root Explorer, but I can't get my keyboard to come up on the phone to make the edit. Any suggestions? Thanks loads!!!

I need an ruu to relock my bootloader.
I can't find the correct European ruu. My software version is 1.28.401.1 and my radio is 1.10.80.13M2.

I think your cid might be HTC_004. You could probably use a gold card to bypass cid check.

I have just been given a Sensation XE with ICS on it and would like to transfer all of my data inc apps from my old sensation to the XE, could anyone point me in the direction of an app that is capable of this? android or windows!
The only apps I can find will back up contacts and messages, I would like to basically clone the phones data and stick it on my new on.
Any help would be gratefully received.

Try titanium backup available on Google Play...
Most of the data is stored on the SD card (kindle app for example) so you might be able to transfer app content etc like that...

I suggest moving apps over to the SD-Card, then install the apps via Play Store on your new device and do the same (App to SD)... Copy the files over from the SD-Card to the new device's SD- Card. Make sure to copy folders with '.' at the start of them...
Make a backup with your recovery manager and restore it on the new phone. This requires root and a custom recovery, if you need a tut just search.
Oh and flash a new kernel, I recommend Bricked.

This is the best option if you are rooted on the old phone. This will boot tge new phone up and you wont notice a change

a smart phone app called xender with Android system , you can transfer pictures, videos, documents even contact list to friends at a moment! it runs without wifi.
