Hi out there...
My problem: When I'm mounting a share via CIFSmanager, everything is fine.
/mnt/cifs/blabla or /mnt/sdcard/cifs/blabla all fine.
But, when I connected my android-phone to my computer or dvd-player, my sdcard will be unmounted and the mount doesn't work anymore.
Is there any possibility, to keep the sdcard mounted?
Or, is it possible to get access to the root-directory (or /mnt/cifs), while the phone's connected via usb?
What I want is, to get access to the mounts with eg. dvd-player/tv or whatever I connected via usb to my mobile phone. Kind of "wifi-usb-stick".
I know it is possible, but what I need to know is how
Thank you!

Hello,
I've been trying to remove the emulated CD-ROM drive that pops up when you plug in the Triumph via USB. My car's head unit detects that device first instead of the USB mass storage, and thus I can't use my phone for music via USB.
I've done a search on the forums, read the two threads I found on the subject, and removed the custom.iso from the /hidden directory. I've even installed CM7 hoping the formatting done to the cache, data, and system would wipe it. However it still pops up on connection via USB.
Can anyone help?
Hi,
I got my TF300 today and tried to connect my Nexus S to it to transfer some data but it does not get recognized by the Tablet. If I connect it to the dock's USB port nothing happens. Is there a way to make this work? Bluetooth is damn slow for transfering greater files...
Edit: Found a workaround. It works when you boot your phone into clockwork recovery and choose the option mount as USB mass storage. Its not the ideal way, but it works.
Is there another method to get my phone mounted?

Hi,
I'm in deepsh*t right now !! ... I was about to install new ROM for my Moto G XT1033, so I wiped clean everything, and while doing the same way, USB OTG was inserted, went back to mount option to mount the USB OTG, but it doesn't mount it, basically I click on it and it doesn't work, is there any other way or I will have to throw away my phone now ??
Is there a way to manually move ROM data to the root directory or under any directory there using just a cable and adt-bundle ??
Nevermind
TWRP wasn't detecting it due to some FS related issue of the pendrive, i just formatted the pen drive from TWRP, though it wasn't mounting I just wanted to check the wipe option for USB OTG, and it formatted into its recognizable FS, i think it would still be NTFS, but anyway, working now !! ... Almost had a heartattack ...
But anyway, if anyone knows, if similar happens, how to move files directly under root access using some tool or commands, connecting the phone with USB and laptop please give an update

Use adb sideload
Agree with post above. Just use either ADB to push a file to your phone or use ADB to sideload a ROM to install.
Try this!

Goto Fastboot Mode and Install philz_touch_6.57.9-falcon.img and try using OTG cable. Make sure the pendrive you use is in FAT 32 format.
exactly

Can anybody please help me?
I know Im an idiot for not backuping important data (regularly), but **** happened (still not quite sure how) and I got all the data from my internal storage erased. Now, I know that it can be easily restored (to some extent) via connecting the phone as a mass storage through USB, but the problem is that my USB port is broken. And I know that there are some apps for data recovery on Play Store, but they all require a rooted device and my is not. And again to root it I need a working USB port (my phone Huawei U9200 cant be rooted via apps such as Framaroot or Towelroot). And the problem with fixing and changing the USB port is that it is connected to the same board everything is connected to, SIM card, camera, audio jack, probably everything is on the single piece of board, so changing that would be quite expensive (and Im not sure if I can do it myself, and currently Im living in Finland where everything is 5x overpriced).
So my question is what now? Are there any other ways yo recover the deleted data from internal storage? Like via FTP or Bluetooth maybe? Or is it possible maybe to directly access phone flash memory (eg. to disconnect it from the board and mount on a pc somehow)?
Please somebody help me...
When I first connected my phone on my laptop, it has a CD Drive as well.
I accidentally safely removed it from the Windows system tray (from the icon of connected USB devices).
How can I get the contents of the CD Drive from the Nokia 8 phone or is there a way to mount the CD Drive again when I connect my phone?
Reconnecting the phone doesn't seem to make the CD Drive contents be mounted again.
All it contains are the drivers that windows needs to install for it to be able to connect to your phone. It autoruns when you connect the phone to install the required drivers. It's nothing you need worry about.

Is there a way to make it work again?
If you just did the safely remove drive before I plugging the phone it should have just appeared again when the phone was connected again. Have you mounted the phone for file transfer? When you plug it into your pc when you unlock the phone a question should appear asking if you want to mount it for file transfer. Does the drive appear when you do this?
If it doesn't you may have to go into disk management and re-assign a drive letter to it again.

I was not prompted with that autoplay setting when I tried to replug it. I will try the re-assigning drive letter solution.
