When you install via Odin and if the system will not boot, go in CWM and go on data reset and reboot.
In CWM go with Home and Power buttons.

This might help

Okay, problem solved.Using the "ADB push" method will do.By following this guide:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667929 Just simply push the ROM into the SD card through fastboot mod,and flash the ROM,then everythings work fine. The ROM I used is Nexus S original ROM download from net.

You may need more info...such as stock or custom recovery, and the exact file name you are trying to flash.. someone may respond faster. Good luck.

I have stock recovery but it not allow to instal unsigned filed. I have downloaded stock rom from aftablonely786. Format my SD card . Put stock ropm file in SD Card. Loded the Stock recovery and choose wipe data/factory Reset. Got error E:failed to Mount/ system (Invalid Argument). System Mounted Fail. Then wipe cache partation. then apply update from External storage and choose stock rom zip
Try using a custom recovery like clockwork or twrp. may have better luck my friend. I have never flashed anything with a stock recovery. I didn't know it was possible though I may be wrong.

You flash recovery in download mode. Another boot mode. Just search how to boot into download mode for your device it will be another button combo after your phone is off. After you get that figured out search a custom revovery for your device. Then you should be able to flash a revovery from your pc. Ill see what I can find for you.
Edit: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=41434698 read into this after you figure out the download mode button combo.

Not sure what is going on but here is how I flash a ROM from recovery and so far so good.
Copy rom file to external sd card in phone.
Do a full factory wipe, cache and dalvik.
Install rom.
Install Gapps if necessary or desired.
Wipe cache and dalvik again.
Reboot
Note that some roms will give you a recommended list of what to wipe if doing a new install or upgrade of that rom, if such instructions exist its best to follow those instead but the above has worked for me for a while now.

That's what is advised to do before flashing a completely different ROM anyway by some. From recovery, flash the ROM again, and if the ROM is not corrupted (check md5 or whatever comes with it), you should be good to go.

To get into cwm , hold power-volume up-home keys ...
But don't hold it for too long , as it might accidentally select the reboot option on cwm and phone starts to reboot ( happened to me before )
Just try different timings in your holding ...
And if this do not seem to work, .... try reverting back to old v5...
As few others also have the same issue with v6
Hope it helps...

Soft brick, stuck at boot logo, no recovery

I have a p3113, which after flashing a Rom became 3110. Which still worked fine. But I tried installing FastDream 4.2.2 which was a down grade from 4.3 Pac Rom. Now I'm stuck at Samsung logo, with no back up. I also can't mount sd through recovery, and my external sdcard is not detected by my computer.
Would anyone be able to tell me what my options are for fixing this?

wipe data factory reset, wipe cache partition and wipe dalvic cache in recovery and it will boot.
That didn't work, however I did get this issue fixed by putting it in download mode and flashed stock via odin. Then realized-rooted
