Out of those two roms, cyanmobile should run games faster because cm7 is faster on our phones than cm9. That being said, stock cyanogenmod7 with djnoxd's kernel, in my opinion, runs games better than any of the other custom roms.

I'm looking to overclock my stock rooted g2x, which kernel is best for doing so?
I like faux123 kernals for stock roms.

I've had luck with Faux's kernels too. He has tons of kernels out, so be careful which one you pick. There are a total of 8.
Stock Based Roms
- PreOC/UV vs SV (stock volt)
- DS vs CM battery driver
CM7 Based Roms
- PreOC/UV vs SV (stock volt)
- DS vs CM battery driver
Best to start with a SV kernel. Some phones (all that I've tried) won't boot with his preOverclocked/Undervolted kernels and roms.
Hello everyone
I want you all (of course who wants) to post here which phone you have and which rom and kernel you are using. Just to help the other who can not decide which rom or kernel to use.
Here is mine:
Phone;Samsung Galaxy SCL (GT-i9003)
Rom;Vurrut rom v5_rc2 with meizu theme
Kernel;vurrut v8(120mhz-1350mhz)
original phone has just 1ghz. THANKS TO VURRUT FOR HIS GREAT JOB.
EDIT: I changed the kernel to v5_uv (because the most stable and battery friendly kernel it is in my opinion)
Launcher;Adw launcher.
EDIT: changed the launcher to te zeam launcher (because it is not so smooth but it does lowest ram consumption just 13mb: )
with these combination the phone has no bug and extremely fast if you have my phone you can try this combination. I hope this post will helpful :))
If i helped you hit thanks button.

New to android with a Galaxy S II X(t989) on telus.
I am running the latest release of Digital Warfare from TDJ with the built in Darkside kernal.
Go Launcher ex is my launcher of choice because of the ease of customization and the beauty of the animations.
This is an excellent phone and an fantastic rom. It is nicely stripped down with the worst of the bloat extracted. Runs blazing fast and smooth as butter.

Hi guys,
I tried many ICS roms some sense and other non-sense still all are laggy and no ICS rom is comparable with GB roms especially MIUI.GB .. is that true or I'm missing something here? Is it kernel source for Desire S? I don't think so as Virtuous Saga rom is laggy too
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda app-developers app
Virtuous Saga is a leaked ROM, it isn't final and isn't fully polished/tested. Moreover, the kernel and ROM might be running in debug or partial debug mode, dumping lots of data and slowing down the system. The only other stock ICS ROM for testing is the community ROM from chinese OTA, but it doesn't have some of the functionality.
Given proper drivers or kernel adaptation, I don't think there should be any reason for slower ICS performance. One of the causes might be lack of kernel source, and adaptations for older binary drivers that are done to compensate for it. But it's only my opinion, not facts - I can't prove or disprove it.
Hi, have you tried AOKP? I just recently restored my old GB Sense ROM after having used AOKP for the last couple of months, just to see which one feels faster. After just one day I was back on AOKP.

My opinion: all ICS ROMs for Desire S are still laggy and baggy in some way I've tried a couple of them and I'm still disappointed We are all hard waiting for HTC to release kernel 3.0 source. After that some problems with speed and stability will be fixed. And after that we'll see is "true" ICS on Desire S faster or not Until now - yes, faster. In my opinion, of course.
I use icecoldsandwitch and like it very much.
Its based on the AOKP rom.
Still a bit laggy but as good as it gets.
Heey xda people.
In a few days I am receiving my One S.
I have seen the stock ROM and by my opinion it is full with bloat-ware.
I would like to flash it with a good clean-andorid (ICS or Jellybean) rom.
Do you have any suggestions or recommendations ? I would be happy to hear that.
Thnx in advance.

TD 7.1.0 all day everyday.
Everything works, fast and smooth and good battery life. What more do you need?
MIUI Sense based... All MIUI functionality whit some Sense applications (like camera and gallery)...very good Rom.
Sent whit HTC ONE S
If you're into sense
1. Venom sense ( this rom offered tweaks to your liking and customized icons...mostly everything, but still 100% sense)
2. Miui Sense (fast as ASOP, but you get sense camera and gallery and 100% customizable. You can changed anything to your liking). Update are every fridays...(Rebecca Black) LOL
3.Axioms S-less ( a strip down version of sense to get ASOP feeling)
JellyBean
MIUI Jellybean

whats the most stable rom between jb and ics I want one that as hardly any bugs or drains the battery
try elegancia or viper s ICS. They're both very stable and bug free. In my experience JB is buggier and drains the battery a bit more.
Hi
All roms are good you will have to try on your own, it depends upon you what you like search in development section you will get all of them try them out its not compulsory which Rom is stable on my cell will be stable with you
The most common stable Rom is
HTC STOCK rom

try arhd.. all rom is really god, just set for yourself
Before there where any normal JB roms out there I was on ViperS what was on ICS base.... I would say the best of the best out there on ICS base!
Have tried Elegancia but it wasnt for me.... Dont know why battery drainage was 2x more that viper's and found to much bugs in 4 day usage... went back to ViperS!
Now for about 2 months im on JB 4.2.2 AOSP And im also very happy now...
There are NO specific best ROM out there....For example one person likes ViperS, one likes elegancia, third one likes something else....
I have tried about 7 rom's overall in my sensation life... but these 2 (ICS -ViperS, JB - AOSP) in my opinion are the best...
Which ICS <-> JB? Flash and you see which one you like the most! I'd preffer JB now because its 'smoother'....
Just flash, try for few days if you like it stay, if you don't choose the next one... They are all for free!
I try them viper and jb
