depents, is their device a p990 or p999, if its a p999 it belongs here if not it doesnt

Software and hardware are two completely different things. A g2x with a "skinned" version of cm7 looks different than a stock one, but its still a g2x.

Are you scared? Why do you refer it to be "Canadian" takeover? Kinda rude and ignorant comment, Should just refer it by the model #? like p999? Think there are currently 2 relatively small carriers that have the p999.Wind Mobile and Videotron, same one as the t-mobile p999. Rogers may carry the p990.

I can't believe this was even awarded to Apple as a patent. Doing a search on your mobile device is an obvious, why would the patent office ever grant it?
People should write letters to the patent office and ask that the office be investigated. They seem to be granting patents left and right to Apple.

While I don't think it's some vast conspiracy, I do admit some of the patents they've handing out recently to Apple are ridiculous. Universal search and now the vanishing scroll bar...those are both just stupid. They should be considered universal items across platforms and software. Just more patent trolling fodder for Apple.

Mine arrived 7/18 new with the I535VRALG1, rooted with Root_66 via Odin and tweaked with no issues. Only complaint is they sent me the wrong color and wanted a restocking fee to swap. Oh well.

Guaranteed you can give any one of those people a GS2 and tell them it's a GS3 and get the same type of responses. Sure it's funny because it's an iPhone but there are stupid android users too. I can point out more than a handful that post on XDA, that's for sure.

Yeah an iPhone user wouldn't know the difference between a GS II and III, but I think that a GS II user would. As an android user I couldn't tell you the difference between an iPhone 4 and 4S just by looking at them. (Okay that last part is a joke, but I do think android users are used to the new model looking different than the current model)

When you say "android users" you are grouping everyone together and it doesn't work that way. Same thing with "iphone users". There are moronic iPhone users and Android users alike, which is the point I was making earlier. I would bet my week's paycheck that the people in Jimmy Kimmel's video were the exception and not the rule when it comes to falling for that prank. Of course they aren't going to show the people who knew it was a 4S because that wouldn't be funny.
