Has anyone found just back screen protectors sold by themselves?
I'm wanting an anti-glare front protector and just a clear back protector for scratches.
Best I can find is This but i'm not sure if it will just cover the glass at the back, or if it continues up the sides

Overpaid a bit $480USD, but that's the price you pay when no NZ parallel importer will bring them in and you want one asap
I want a matte, dry, "screen" protector for the glass back... I don't really need a screen protector for the front.
Well I have a one-x SGP screen protector that I haven't used. I'm going to mark the camera and speaker points with a marker and then cut them with a Stanley knife, then use this for the back. It should be a good fit.

I think I may get the BSE body protector, and stick with a dry apply for the front. That orange peel effect would drive me ape **** on the display. I don't know that I need one on the front, and I don't intend to find out, playin it safe.

Recent reviews of BSE say that there is next to no orange peel effect. Check out reviews for the iPhone 5 BSE. Reviews for that are only like 2 or 3 months old and the Nexus 4 skin should be similar.

I know, but I'd much rather just have a dry apply for the screen anyway, I like the feel, to me it's nearly the same as not even having one. Granted I haven't used a BSE or read anything specific on it. But my experience in the past with wet apply skins, and from what I've read about them is general, is that aside from the "orange peel" they are also "stickier" which I think would be great for the sides and the back. And seriously, even the slightest bit of orange peel I would be able to handle it, same with the no glare screen protectors. I can handle scratches, but that kind or distortion just grates me.

Has anyone found a dry screen protector for the back glass yet? I've been looking all over with no avail. Please let me know if you find something. Thanks.
What I REALLY want is a back film like protector that is rubberized or vinyl so the damn thing doesnt slide off EVERYTHING you put it on. Im worried that these screen protectors have been coated like gorilla glass to be extra slippery for touchscreens.
I put it on a remote control (comcast) last night, it has an extremely slight angle on it and rubber buttons. IT SLID OFF. It took like 40 minutes but its like it crawled off the remote like a slug and fell. How in the hell. This thing is insanely slippery, worse than teflon, I just want a film to give it some grip.

Ah that's rough. Mine's hit the ground twice, luckily only from 12"-16" though. Some of my corner's got a little mucked up from one of them, but it almost seems to be healing itself. It actually landed on the screen that time but the screen ended up being ok, I had to change my underwear though.

I have a cover and screen protector from seidio. It literally cannot be seen or felt on the screen. The only problems i had was when putting the cover back on i pinched the screen protector and had to use a second one. Would definately recommend.
WOW, that's why I don't fly naked! Seems the screen would been hard to change.
Good luck!
i hate screen protectors too but damn brah. for the inspire it's a must.
I'm curious though.
How much does a screen protector really help?
Let's say i dropped it from a pretty high level onto a hard flat surface..
would it protect the screen from shattering or is it's sole purpose to resist scratches?

I think scratches are the best that you can hope that a screen protector will help you on. there is no way that a thin piece of plastic is going to stop a crack. i had a buddy who had an iphone 4 with a zagg invisible shield, and an otterbox defender with built in screen shield. he dropped it from waist high and shattered his screen!
Seem I saw someone have to order an Ispire screen but had to buy five at a time. Might look around and see if they have an extra.

The bestskinsever screen protectors feel like there is nothing on the screen. The only way you know there is a protector on my phone is at an angle with sunlight where you see the edge of the protector because it does not go all the way to the top by a millimeter or 2.
It really is all in the application. If you get a good application you should not see any signs of there even being a screen protector. I try not to use too much soapy water and wrap a microfiber towel around the squeegee I use.
I lucked out. My phone had the loose bottom corner issue so I took it to my at&t store. They replaced it. Now I'm hunting for a screen protector

That's what I'm wondering... This phone uses Gorilla glass I don't know if its worth getting a screen protector
I had an Evo for about a year, so did my daughter. Both has Gorilla Glass, never had a screen protector on either and never any scratches at all.
I always set mine down, screen side down so I wouldn't scratch the back
So, no need for a screen protector in my opinion. But, that's just how I am rolling with mine.
Some may not need it. Some people just want it. I, myself, always had it on my iPhones and my previous SGS2. I like the texture, I have better control since the glass is a bit too slippery. The ZAGG also bumps up color and contrast (imo, you can tell the difference on my iPhones). Those are my reasons.
Also gorilla glass doesn't mean its indistructable. It may survive keys in a purse but not from drops or things being dropped on it.
ordered one also
Have not received. A bit worried it will distort the screen clarity. Anyone get one on yet? I have had the captivate and moto phones and all have had Gorilla Glass but I always used a screen protector. Usually use best skins ever but they are not out yet. Used code ZAGG20 on checkout and took 3 off.
Yea, they're very nice (my opinion). I haven't see any discoloration in the last 2-3 years with Zagg. The image quality is crystal clear. And my touches register much more than without it. I guess I have very dry finger tips.
I've seen the zagg only once a long time ago. Does it still have that bumpy orange peel texture?

I used to swear by them but after awhile I got sick of lint sticking to parts of it that would come up a little. Plus I prefer a naked screen feel and just a think case for the back now. Might get one though just for the backside until a good matte case is available.
if I install 1 and let's say like 3 months later I don't like it,is it easy to remove the shield and liquid and bring it back to normal?

Any problems with Gorilla glass?
I was told that with Gorilla glass the use of a screen protector may make it difficult for the screen protector to stick.
I find this hard to believe since it should stick to any glass. At the mall the sales guy actually told me to pass on this because Gorilla glass has a chemical breakdown that is different than normal glass.
That may be true but- but has anyone had a problem before with InvisibleShield on a phone with Gorilla glass?

Yeah even though it has gorrilla glass 1 or 2, it isn't 100 % scratch resistant. Having it in your pocket with keys etc coins. Pebbles etc, having a screen protector won't change the look of the screen. For under 10 bucks why not? Unless you want a scratch

Yeah, I'm really not sure about that. I don't know if I'll just wait for the Xtreme Guard screen protector, which is very high quality and cheap; its very similar to extreme guard. And this one is a wet application. So I hope it will be released soon.

Does anyone have the Spigen dual side screen protector with the play store Nexus 4 Bumper?
If you do- How does it fit and would you recommend it because I'm looking at possibly getting this combo.
I could save $15 and get a poetic bumper for $5 instead of the $20 play store one. The only thing is I prefer the look of the play store one.
I can also get the play store one for much cheaper later on.
I was also thinking of getting the Poetic Atmosphere because it looks so nice on the iPhone 5 an the Spigen (just front) screen protector.
But maybe I'll just get them both and decide for myself.
I have the spigen dual ordered. Should be here next week. I have the bumper already but I'm not sure if I'm going to keep it or not. I'm not liking how it makes the phone feel. The bumper is not as slim as I thought.

I have the combo as well and I wouldn't necessarily call it perfect, though I like the combo. I think the front protector doesn't cover enough of the sides, so there is a gap between the bumper and the protector... You can feel it when swiping from the edges (ex: when switching between tabs in Chrome).
I think a better case / protector combo is the Spigen with Diztronic... The case covers enough of the sides so there is barely a gap on the sides.
Anyways, since I prefer the bumper, I'll wait for the Phantom tempered glass protector and hope that the fit will be nicer.
I'll try to post a few pics tomorrow.

Spigen released some dry application ones for the Galaxy S3 that covered the whole screen (which has curved edges) so we just have to wait!
Spigen has made curved glass protectors before (for the gs3) but the reviews for that particular protector are terrible.
The hardness is half that of the current N4 one they have.

While the novelty of the Spigen Curved Crystal protectors is nice, they are incredibly easy to scratch it seems. I have a coworker that got the Curved Crystal protectors for her GS3, and she was disappointed at how easily they got visible hairline scratches. The first one she was rough with, but the 2nd one she took care to keep covered with the official GS3 book-like case that has a front flap, and it somehow still managed to get scratched.
I really think that if you want to cover the whole glass on the Nexus 4, you pretty much have to go with a wet apply. I'm almost a mandatory dry apply person, but I must say, it really makes it look as if you cheaped out on the screen protector to anybody else that looks at your phone. The bumper only accentuates this visual problem. Personally I'm cursing LG and Google for even doing this to the screen, it seems utterly gimmicky, pointless, and makes it absolute hell to get a good smooth dry apply screen protector on the phone. I find myself actually avoiding using the sloped edge because I run right into the edge of my dry screen protector. I usually start my swipes right at the edge of the screen protector.

What is the difference between dry and wet application in terms of the screen's curve.
Correct me if I'm wrong but what I take you're saying is that wet application screen protectors will cover the entire (curved)N4 screen as dry ones won't (or if they do they won't be too good)

Correct me if I'm wrong but what I take you're saying is that wet application screen protectors will cover the entire (curved)N4 screen as dry ones won't (or if they do they won't be too good)

I don't actually have a wet apply protector myself, but I ordered a Best Skin's Ever full body set that should be delivered sometime next week, along with a Spigen Dual set. From reading up on them though, it seems like all of the wet apply ones do actually cover the entire glass, which would make sense as they're totally floppy and flexible during the installation phase. The tough part, even with those, seems to be getting them to cure and stick permanently to the curved glass.
I think I'll give the BSE a try and see how it goes before the Spigen, based on some people's comments that the BSE seems smoother than other brands of wet applies. I typically really hate the rubbery drag that the wet applies have.

Here you go (also showing my first attempt at snapseed haha). The protector just barely reaches to where the screen begins to curve down on the sides. The back is near perfect luckily. Let me know if you need to see any additional pictures.

I think I put a little too much contrast in it... I wish I could tell you that I have a special edition bumper or something, but I don't.

Spigen told me they are not going to release any dry application screen protector that covers the whole screen:/

I think I may post a tread for wet vs dry application screen protectors in terms of curved screen as I'm interested in finding out if the wet screen protectors actually do fit the whole screen.

That post is 2 weeks old. I'm sure that will change.
