Invisible Shield should come out with a version for the One X shouldn't they? There's quite a lot of hype in this phone and it's a high end phone. Invisible Shield makes amazing screen protectors, but then again the One X has Gorilla Glass.

only wet applicating ones are going to cover the whole thing because of the curved glass on the sides. go that route. skinomi seems to be the best thus far.

bummer, guess I should of waited until this morning I ordered the skinomi but got the drytech clear. Are you saying this most likely won't stick to the curved edges?

I got my skinomi wet application protector in the mail today. I am afraid the dry type won't adhere as well to the curved edges.

Yeah even though it has gorrilla glass 1 or 2, it isn't 100 % scratch resistant. Having it in your pocket with keys etc coins. Pebbles etc, having a screen protector won't change the look of the screen. For under 10 bucks why not? Unless you want a scratch

Thanks. I already ordered one, but have heard so much about the durability of gorilla glass that I had to ask.

Honestly, I can deal with a couple of tiny scratches a lot better than I can deal with how terrible screen protectors feel and make the display look. Anyone else feel this way?

Isn't the Screen already scratch resistant, so putting this on would be overdoing maybe? Or does it do more than protect from scratches??

That's what I'm wondering... This phone uses Gorilla glass I don't know if its worth getting a screen protector
I had an Evo for about a year, so did my daughter. Both has Gorilla Glass, never had a screen protector on either and never any scratches at all.
I always set mine down, screen side down so I wouldn't scratch the back
So, no need for a screen protector in my opinion. But, that's just how I am rolling with mine.
Some may not need it. Some people just want it. I, myself, always had it on my iPhones and my previous SGS2. I like the texture, I have better control since the glass is a bit too slippery. The ZAGG also bumps up color and contrast (imo, you can tell the difference on my iPhones). Those are my reasons.
Also gorilla glass doesn't mean its indistructable. It may survive keys in a purse but not from drops or things being dropped on it.
ordered one also
Have not received. A bit worried it will distort the screen clarity. Anyone get one on yet? I have had the captivate and moto phones and all have had Gorilla Glass but I always used a screen protector. Usually use best skins ever but they are not out yet. Used code ZAGG20 on checkout and took 3 off.
Yea, they're very nice (my opinion). I haven't see any discoloration in the last 2-3 years with Zagg. The image quality is crystal clear. And my touches register much more than without it. I guess I have very dry finger tips.
I've seen the zagg only once a long time ago. Does it still have that bumpy orange peel texture?

I used to swear by them but after awhile I got sick of lint sticking to parts of it that would come up a little. Plus I prefer a naked screen feel and just a think case for the back now. Might get one though just for the backside until a good matte case is available.
if I install 1 and let's say like 3 months later I don't like it,is it easy to remove the shield and liquid and bring it back to normal?

Comes off completely clean, no residue or signs of it remaining.
Any problems with Gorilla glass?
I was told that with Gorilla glass the use of a screen protector may make it difficult for the screen protector to stick.
I find this hard to believe since it should stick to any glass. At the mall the sales guy actually told me to pass on this because Gorilla glass has a chemical breakdown that is different than normal glass.
That may be true but- but has anyone had a problem before with InvisibleShield on a phone with Gorilla glass?

I am worried about the curved edges. My photon 4G had this issue with dry application screen protectors. Can you post a review when you get it installed so we all know if this is going to be an issue?
For the first time I think I am going to go naked. I have faith in Gorilla Glass 2. I will just stay away from sand.

Yeah, I'm really not sure about that. I don't know if I'll just wait for the Xtreme Guard screen protector, which is very high quality and cheap; its very similar to extreme guard. And this one is a wet application. So I hope it will be released soon.
why the heck aren't vendors selling the back too???!?!?!?!?!!
I hate wet-applied one...
but I also concern about the curved-edge screen...
Now has 10% off the $2.92 price! So now its only $2.62. This is the cheapest screen protector as of now!

So if you're getting the 3-pack, that's cheaper total cost per screen protector, at under $2 per protector.
why not use liquid armor?

I want a matte, dry, "screen" protector for the glass back... I don't really need a screen protector for the front.
Well I have a one-x SGP screen protector that I haven't used. I'm going to mark the camera and speaker points with a marker and then cut them with a Stanley knife, then use this for the back. It should be a good fit.

Recent reviews of BSE say that there is next to no orange peel effect. Check out reviews for the iPhone 5 BSE. Reviews for that are only like 2 or 3 months old and the Nexus 4 skin should be similar.

I know, but I'd much rather just have a dry apply for the screen anyway, I like the feel, to me it's nearly the same as not even having one. Granted I haven't used a BSE or read anything specific on it. But my experience in the past with wet apply skins, and from what I've read about them is general, is that aside from the "orange peel" they are also "stickier" which I think would be great for the sides and the back. And seriously, even the slightest bit of orange peel I would be able to handle it, same with the no glare screen protectors. I can handle scratches, but that kind or distortion just grates me.

Exactly
Has anyone found a dry screen protector for the back glass yet? I've been looking all over with no avail. Please let me know if you find something. Thanks.
What I REALLY want is a back film like protector that is rubberized or vinyl so the damn thing doesnt slide off EVERYTHING you put it on. Im worried that these screen protectors have been coated like gorilla glass to be extra slippery for touchscreens.
I put it on a remote control (comcast) last night, it has an extremely slight angle on it and rubber buttons. IT SLID OFF. It took like 40 minutes but its like it crawled off the remote like a slug and fell. How in the hell. This thing is insanely slippery, worse than teflon, I just want a film to give it some grip.

I'm not currently using a case on my phone (it's a shame to cover up such a nice aluminum phone with plastic IMO). I have two different cases sitting in a drawer in case I ever change my mind, but for now I'm rocking the phone naked. The Spigen tempered glass protector I'm using has rounded corners, so it's not bad to use without a case.
Good to know
Thanks for clearing it up because i thought all glass protector are made the same way. I got one from Verizon on my S4 and the edges were ruff and annoying as hell. I guess i get her the Spigen Glass for her. Thanks :victory:

There are cheaper options out there. The Spigen protector is nice, but it's expensive. You can check this thread for more options if you would like.

Once you go glass, you don't go back . I just ordered a couple cheap no brand name China made tempered glass protectors from ebay for like $7 shipped! This way if i installed one poorly (since you only get literally one chance to get it right with glass vs. plastic!) then i have a backup to install. I can say this $7 tempered glass is amazing though! Perfect quality i would say to anyone else, only thing is the edges are not round so it's like square if that makes sense?
Even the big name brands though have square edges so....

I use something similar to liquipel. It's a liquid you put on your screen that crystallizes and won't let the screen scratch. It really works!!! It's from the dude who makes flash flood, in England. Expensive, but there isn't anything I've found like it that is genuinely worth the money and legit.

Is the speaker covered as well? But I'll look at this and if this will work on mine, definitely, I will get it too.
I bought the Nilkin tempered glass protector mainly for the camera protectors it comes with. Wasn't even really planning on using the screen protector as I can't stand the inevitable flake of dust that gets stuck underneath during the install but decided to give it a shot anyway.
They give you lots of tools to ensure a great install, like a moist cleaning wipe and a dry one, microfiber cloth and a sticky piece of plastic to pick up dust. So for once the install was PERFECT and I'm actually loving the protector a great deal. Still offers the same feel it had naked while offering a great level of protection. My one complaint is that the original screen offered a better fingerprint coating than the protector does, but it still does a good job.

Even Gorilla Glass can get scratched, like sand for instance will do a number on it. All depends on how careful or unlucky you are. My Note 2, Nexus 4, Nexus 5, OPPO Find 7A and OPO are all/were naked and none of them had a scratch on them. I'm also very careful in how I handle and pocket my phones.

I have a microfiber cloth that came with a laptop a few years ago so it's relatively large, maybe 6" X 6" and when I pocket the phone I wrap the cloth around it. I also NEVER put anything else in my left front pocket, money, credit cards, car key, etc. so I minimize the risk of getting dirt or grit in my pocket to scratch the phone, front or back. If it's that big of a deal then get one of the glass screen protectors and bumper case, that should ease your mind.

On my Nexus 4, and Note 3 I noticed small scratches from just putting it in my pockets. Any tips on how to maintain it scratch free?

use a screen protector if it's only from being in your pocket, how about using a flip cover? I bought one with my One, and they are really high qualitiy, especially for that price!
I live in Florida and I have never used a screen protector on any phone starting with the OG Moto Droid.
I go to the beach all the time and I have never had one scratch on any of my phones. I am super careful with them.
I'm using the Orzly glass screen protector from Amazon and absolutely love it. My phones always have glass protectors and always sell well when I get bored.

I ordered the Orzly one. How long did it take for it to arrive for you? Mine shipped Monday
Ordered Thursday received it monday
I never used one in my life. It looks like crap.
I don't use screen protectors and never get scratches. Partly because I don't like the loss of ANY touch sensitivity and I really suck at installing them and it drives me NUTS if there's a piece of dust under the protector.
I would go with Tempered Glass 9H protectors. Every phone should have a screen protector in my opinion. Even Saphire displays are defenseless to fine grains in your pocket.

You sound exactly like my friend, even he has a microfiber cloth in his pocket all the time. Personally I don't like the feel of touch with the screen guard on, but I regret it as I broke few screens may be now I will start using one.
