Reverted back to stock through RUU, not asking me to update for ICS? - HTC Sensation

Back when I was still on stock Android 2.3 I got an OTA update asking me if I wanted to install ICS I ignored it and proceeded to flash 3.33 firmware and install Cyanogen10. Recently, I used the TMOUS 1.27 RUU and went back to stock ROM and whenever I go to the update settings it does not prompt me or can find the ICS update. Is there a way I can get back to a point where the ROM would be able to find/receive official OTAs again?
(I know I can install the official ICS through RUU but I want to get my phone back to a state where it can receive official OTAs again)

TMOUS 1.27 RUU is the latest for the Tmous version iirc
so its obvious that you wont have any more updates

[Q] confuse of witch is the stock tmous rom + ota update

hello guys i'm trying to go back to stock im on tmobile usa
but the thread if [ROM]Shipped Pyramid ROM
has two version of tmous and i dont know witch one is newest
RUU_Pyramid_TMOUS_1.27.531.2_Radio_10.42.9007.00P_ 10.11.9007.15_M_release_192098_signed
or
RUU_Pyramid_TMOUS_1.29.531.2_Radio_10.42.9007.00P_ 10.11.9007.15_M_release_193714_signed
and do i need to flash the stock radio or it already comes with the rom?
now i see some people are having new update
my friend from tmous is testing a sensation with the update. he said it dont have 2.3.5+
that the update is just to have better battery life and gps lock faster.
ok i know i need to be stock and maybe not rooted to get this update, but im concern of losing my s-off root
and cant root back
1.29 Is the correct Ruu, after flashing, the phone will boot up then check for update. After you install the update you will be on 2.3.4.
You will loose root but keep s-off. Just reroot, it's easy once you have s-off.

The one you should run is the 1.29 and it already comes with the radio included.
You will loose recovery and root but will keep s-off and your phone will be 100% stock and ready to accept whatever updates are available.

after it reads my phone and i click update i get this error[155] unknown error
the rom update utility cannot update your android phone.
please get the correct rom update utility and try again.
i download the RUU_Pyramid_TMOUS_1.29.531.2_Radio_10.42.9007.00P_ 10.11.9007.15_M_release_193714_signed
What are ROM do you have on your phone before running the RUU? Do you have a Nandroid backup from before you flashed something custom? I had a similar error occur when I tried to run the RUU when I was running one of the 1.78 leaks, I had to restore my Nandroid from before I flashed the 1.78 leak and then the RUU worked.
Can i just run the RUU.exe without doing the CID on adb? I just want to confirm because I have read on the other thread that I have to run CID on adb before i run the RUU.exe from my computer in order to revert back to stock tmous rom.
disregard ---------
So which is current 2.3.4 or 2.3.5?

where can i find stock ruu 1.45 or 1.50?

i can only find stock 1.29 pyramid. if i flash to 1.29 stock rom will i be able to get ota and manually update to 1.45 then to 1.50? im only interested in stock roms and dont want modified ones. the reason i wanna do this is becuase i have rooted 1.45 but want to update it to 1.50. thanks
did you check at the ruu thread?

Root ICS on Sensation?

.. for now Sensation is rooted (GB, s-off, stock) but I guess s-off will be gone after recovery, so is there a chance to root it again, but this time (after) OTA ICS?
thanks!
S-OFF isn't touched, so you can reflash CWM/4EXT via HBOOT once the update is done. You need to be 100% stock otherwise to get the official update, though

.. I see, as I understand s-off wont be gone after recovery (with original RUU) and then I'll run OTA ICS, should I be able to root again when on ICS?
thanks!

[Q] S-Off, Rooted Sensation on GB firmware - Looking to go to stock ICS rom

Currently running s-off, rooted, on a GB rom. I'm looking to get as close to stock as I can, I don't mind if the phone stays s-off, I just want the stock ICS firmware and rom.
I should be able to flash the RUU of the ICS OTA and get the complete rom, firmware and everything, right? I know I will lose root, but that doesn't bother me right now.
Can anyone link me to the OTA ICS RUU if that is the route to go?

ARHD is the closest to stock. Try that.
There is a post with ruu for Ics stock rom. Just look for it carefully in the development.

OTA goodies

What OTA goodies am I missing?
1.) I see h8rift posted that there is a touchscreen firmware update.
2.) a new radio
3.) new hboot or something?
I got the radio flashed. But should I want to do the touchscreen firmware? What about the hboot? I haven't had a random reboot in a long time.
1) There is a touchscreen firmware downgrade. You have to do this if you took the OTA and want to use AOSP roms.
2) Yes
3) Yes, but it write-protects /system
You should s-off before worrying about any of this, if you're not already.
1.) if you took the OTA, And you now need to downgrade your firmware, does that not imply you upgraded your firmware with the OTA? which is what I would be after. An upgrade to the touchscreen firmware that comes from the OTA.
2.)Ok if I flashed the radio then I'm obviously soff.
3.) does the new hboot have anything other than write protection?
Is there anything else that comes with the ota that would be a goodie?
Honestly, I'm not sure all that's in the ota. But I'm running more smoothly and more stable than I ever did before. Note that I ruu'd to 2.20 then flashed the entire ota.
If you're s-off, you don't need to worry about the wp.
