huh. kies air stopped working on my tab 3113
when to google market and now it says not compatible...
I liked using it for copying files.
Yes Google play shows that Kies air is incompatible but thing is that it comes pre installed with stock firmware.
Are you using stock one from settings or sideloaded one???

was using custom rom. I had some bugs in the system and kies kept giving stopped working error so I reflashed with cm10 nightly and I just noticed it saying the not compatible thing.
I found the apk on searching google. and side installed it and its working again.
but why have Samsung decided to mark it not compatible?
Maybe because they have already incorporated it in stock Rom.

I am running the latest Weapon 2.5 ROM with the latest Blue Steel Theme v2.2. I cannot update to the latest voice search. I believe the latest update is 2.1.4. All other apps/updates install. Not I real big deal but I was just wondering if anyone else is having this issue and if so, anyone find a solution to get the latest update?
Update: Seems the app downloads every time with no problem but will not install. I get an error message that says "package file was not signed correctly."
It's like that for me, and I'm running a fully stock phone atm.

They have stopped flash on mobile phones I think who ever had flash player installed before adobe made the announcement that they are discontinuing flash player are still able to use it because now they are focusing on.HTML5.

That doesn't sound right. I know they stopped, but I think that just meant they aren't developing for future versions of Android. They still support the existing version of flash and even still provide updates to security.
I will uninstall and try to reinstall to see if I have a problem as well.

It should still work. They aren't discontinuing the flash player. They just stopped development on it... which means it reached a point where it's stable.
They ARE moving toward HTML5, but they aren't just tossing the towel at flash. It'll be around, even in ICS. They said they would still work on compatibility and support, but they just won't be developing new features for it.
If it says it isn't compatible, then that is a market issue I would assume. Try clearing your market cache from Settings>Applications.
If you've having that particular error, you need to uninstall any version of flash that you have currently installed (even if it is preloaded). Then, reboot your phone, and try the market again and it should work.
Oh I don't know because this is not the only person that's having the same issues that's why I seen alot of people tell me that they are having issues with flash player. I haven't had a problem with my flash player yet mine still works n very stable.

It is a protected app. That means if your rom fingerprint has not been approved by Google (i.e., official rom by carrier or manufacturer that is a member of the Open Handset Alliance) you cannot download it from the Android Market (will show as not compatible with your device). This is an issue with many apps if in the Dev Console on the Market they have checked the "Protected App" box. Change the rom description and fingerprint in the build.prop to the ones in the build.prop of the latest official rom for your device. If a G2X change these two lines and then you can download flash and install it.
Code:
ro.build.description=lge_star-user 2.3.3 GRI40 41fdc8a2 release-keys
ro.build.fingerprint=lge/lge_lge_star/p999:2.3.3/GRI40/lgp999-V21e.41fdc8a2:user/release-keys
Flash 11.1
I've downloaded Flash version 11.1.102.59 and it shows up in my Application information. But every time I've needed flash it says I need to download Flash and when I try it states the same as the OP "Device not Compatible" I haven't figured out how to fix the problem either. Any help will be greatly appreciated I assure you. Thanks,

If you're having this problem then you need to remove the preloaded flash player. The file for the preloaded Flash is /system/app/LibFlashPlayer.apk ... you can remove it manually or use titanium backup or similar to remove it. Then reboot and you should be able to install flash from the market.
EDIT:... somehow I feel like I'm repeating myself.
Hi Guys,
I was using the stock 4.2.2 firmware for the T428 and Sky Go was showing on Playstore, I installed it and it prompted for the details to logon... (did not have an account at the time to test but it launched fine)
I have downgraded to 4.1.1 and now SkyGo does not show on playstore.... I downloaded SkyGo 2.1 apk but it opens then closes with error (unfortunately this application had to closed) This happens before I can add any details to logon.
any one got a working apk for the 4.1.1 firmware?
Thanks

OK so I reverted back to 4.2.2 and sky go launches but the device gives an error message when logging in:
"This device is not supported"
Is there any way to spoof the T428 so SkyGo thinks it is a supported device?
Finless ROM

Tried that already (Finless ROM 1.5a) and then tried changing build.prop to UK Local,
Sky go was not visible on Playstore, so I installed the Hacked verison and Skygo showed up, so installed it... after that I installed Voodoo OTA unroot, to hide the root... That unrooted fine (use an app to test and it said unrooted), SkyGo loaded all the TV shows to choose but still found it as rooted when trying to play something back, I also installed "Hide HDMI" but still the same...
I think I need to have a Custom rom made with UK local and spoofing to a Samsung device with no root.
I have started a topic about it as I do not know where to start... after looking at Youtube im baffled...
I do not care about Root access to be honest, just want sky go to work
I own Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos (GT-B5512) Indian Firmware (B5512DDLG1). I use Hatyon ROM v1.1. However, I haven't installed any other kernel. I face the following issues:
Unable to update Google Play Services. It shows an error: "Package file not signed correctly. Uninstall the previous app and try again." When I uninstall the previous version and try reinstalling, I get the message: "Google Play services is incompatible with the ROM in your device. Contact the Manufacturer." However, It used to work fine on my Stock ROM. Google Hangout needs it and I need Google Hangouts.
I tried Installing Compact Kernel v1.2.6 and my phone got soft-bricked. I restored that via Odin.
Later, I tried installing Compact Kernel v1.3 and my phone got soft-bricked again. :crying:
Please help me find a solution to the above issues and suggest me the best compatible ROM and Kernel.

Try installing v1.2.5 it works fine for me. Wait for about 2 min it wont take longer than that to reboot.
If not- ask some expert( i m junior)
And try carbon rom for gt-b5512 . I think that is better than the hatyon one.(currently using it)-flashed that kernel 1.2.5 over it. WORTH A TRY!
Hit the thanks if u like!

Well after a short research I found a ROM called Resurrection Remix, loaded with 5.0.2 (or Lollipop) however now everything is force closing and I barely got my laptop to see it as MTP again after installing a new Binary (glad that did that trick for that) but I cant get it to boot into CWM Recovery bc I cant access the app the only thing it will let me do right now is change the Binary.
How can I fix this issue?
Edit: Okay so I got that solved with doing a factory reset twice, booted in CWM, loaded up the GApps. Now just wondering if there is away to make it not seen with phone options like the dialer or msgs as its jus a plan old tablet, doesnt take a sim card and has no carrier. I do have the source code but I am not tweaking that til I get a better understanding of it.
After a lot of research and tries (amazingly without bricking) I am now running an even newer version of a CM 13 Marshmellow
