[Q] DGM-T909 tablet ... Trying to root.... SOLVED !!! - General Questions and Answers

Last night I was trying to root this tablet.. Everything was going fine until I got stuck...
During the process it asks to do system restore.. I click yes but then after a few seconds it says restoration ended...
And it returns to home.... Also when it ask to do full restore there are fields where it asks for a password... I never enterd any pw at first boot...
So now I'm stuck... It doesn't ask for a pw when i agree to do a system restore..
À bit of info on the tablet.
Android version: 4.0.4

Kernel version: 3.0.8 [email protected] #95
Build number: DGM_PAD_T909_UK_G_V1_20121002 (lot no: 1210002)
Who can help me ?

All solved now, finally got root access on the DGM-T909 tablet.
The principle is the same as the other methode I tried...
You must have the tablet installed in windows with the drivers
then go to this website : bdfabricio.blogspot.com.br/2012/08/root-android-40-novo-metodo.html
Download the app : Download (Versão 0.1 BETA)
Run it as admin or it will fail to install
After you run it check if your device is found under 'List of devices attached'
Then type s and press enter
Your device will restart and you now have root access.
Check it with 'Root Checker' app wich is found in google play
That's it....
Hope I helped someone out....

SPV-Services

Today I'll try to flash another rom that I have but when I run SPV-Services It doesnt found a page in the internet!!- connection to the internet is normal
check your firewall, turn it off if you can
I doesn't use it!
Open Microsoft Active Sync, click File -> Connection Settings -> where it says this computer is conected to: usaully is automatic change to internet
I make so ,and I downloaded new one from karhoe's website but the same problem!! Can you try to run SPV-services?? or can your send me your one by the ICQ??? I make SuperCID when I flash previous rom but now I can't!
Oh....when I try http://www.spv-developers.com it also doesn't work!! Maybe trouble in this?
If I SuperCID my phone when I flash the previous rom, can I skip this step for the next roms?
spv-developers is not always online...
Hey recently happened to me the same with svp however If you SuperCID your phone before you'll be able to skip this step but to be sure that your phone have SuperCID check it with TeraTermPro, I guess you know the steps if not they are:
1.Disable usb connection of the ActiveSync(Uncheck allow usb connections).
2.Unplug usb cable.
3.Turn your phone off.
4.Press the camera button and plug the usb cable(You'll see thw white screen and seconds later the three color screen.
5.Run TeraTermPro.
6.Select Serial and in port: USB then ok
7.Type: info 2
and if in the end of the list you see supercid htc or something like that it's done!!
Close TeraTermPro and just run any ROM you want and voilaa!!
Hope this be useful for you.
However if you don't see your phone superCID tell me and I'll tell you how to do it without svp services. By the way if you dont see you supercid your phone to get back to the phone OS just remove the battery and turn it on.
See ya from Mexico!
Hey check my post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=412139 Hope you reach SuperCID your phone!!
See ya from Mexico
Tera Term says:GetDeviceInfo=0x00000002
+ SD Controller init
- SD Controller init
+StorageInit
***** user area size = 0x3B880000 Bytes
HTCSSuperCID ' HTCE
as I know it means that device already SuperCIDed!?
Please help!
First SPVServices cannot connect to the remote site.
Then, I tried the alternative using Unlock_SuperCID_Your_SPV_C500_550_600.rar. Followed every step exactly. When I run Lokiwiz.bat, here is the output from the MSDOS window:
....
--------------------
U. Unlock
L. Lock
C. CID Unlock (SuperCID)
Q. Quit
--------------------
Type the letter and press Enter: C
CID unlocking mobile... DO NOT DISCONNECT UNTIL THE PHONE REBOOTS!
ERROR: Unable to open WinCE file '\windows' - Returned by WSARecv or WSARecvFrom
to indicate the remote party has initiated a graceful shutdown sequence.
opening: lock_backup.bin: No such file or directory
This exe file was created with the evaluation version of Perl2Exe.
For more information visit http://www.indigostar.com
(The full version does not display this message with a 2 second delay.)
...
Then, I just try invoking pdocread manually, regardless of what command line argument I put, or no argument at all, the response is always the same " ERROR: Unable to open WinCE file '\windows' - Returned by WSARecv or WSARecvFrom to indicate the remote party has initiated a graceful shutdown sequence."
From ActiveSync, I do see \windows, but as a directory, not a file. Anyone got any inside or suggestions?
PLease, please help! Thank you so much!!!

[Q] Problems With CMB command prompt. HELPPP

Hi i'm having a problem trying to get my evo shift Perm Rooted. There's like 4 different guides that i've found on how To root an Evo or even more specifically the Shift. I've followed all these guides and still no luck.
I already have my phone Temp Rooted through VISIONary, my problem happens when I have to go to the CMB (Command Prompt)

Hit enter, and type the following...
Code:
adb
If adb runs you're golden. Type this...
Code:
adb shell
Hit enter, you will see this...
Code:
$
Now type...
Code:

I make it to where I need to type in adb shell and what it says is adb server is out of date. killing... *daemon started successfully*
Then it shows the $ sign.
What i'm supposed to do now is type su
Then when I do it says su: permission denied
This is where i'm lost at. I followed everybody's instructions perfectly but cant move on till I get pass this... Can anyone help me please?
Thank you
What Android version are you on?
2.2 ?
2.3.3 ?
2.3.4 ?
Check the permissions under properties of adb.exe (right-click adb.exe and select properties) in your sdk/platform-tools folder. Make sure it is allowed to run as a program.

I have a Windows XP So when I go to properties the best I can do is Run it as an older version in compatibility mode? I'll still try it out to see if any older version works
*edit, tried and didnt work

NO DO NOT UPGRADE!!! If your on 2.2 it's very easy. Just download and use THIS TOOL. It will do it all for you. Just connect the device via USB Cable, and choose charge only. Extract the Zip file that you downloaded onto your desktop, and run the program. Then click the ROOT Button. Make sure your Anti-Virus and Firewall are disabled before you start. Then just follow the Prompts. When it's all done go to the Play Store ( Android Market ) download Rom Manager Free. Open up Rom Manager follow the prompts to Flash CWM Recovery. That's it your Rooted with a Custom Recovery.

I downloaded what you said, I run the program and disable the firewall, I clicked on Root and it says "Error running ADB try again"
I know that means I probably did something wrong in an earlier step but still unaware where I messed up at.

You need adb working... In order for adb to work you need to have android debugging checked under Settings > Applications > Development on your phone. It's not enabled by default on Sense roms so you'll need to make sure it's enabled and turned on.
Ok I made it past the part I was stuck at. Rooted my phone, downloaded ROM manager, clicked on Flash ClockworkMod Recovery, and before it finishes it says " An error occurred while attempting to run privileged commands! "
I'm sorry for asking for so much help but I'm not trying to mess anything up

All good about asking questions. When the message pops up asking for SuperUser Permission, you have to click yes. Otherwise it will not run.
I ended up factory restoring my phone and followed a youtube video for the same exact guide that you told me to use. I followed it step by step and now my phone works perfect. I appreciate all the help.
Instead of me creating a new post, can you recommend a good guide for me to flash my shift to boost mobile?

[Resolved] - Help :( - Think I hard bricked myself

Ok, so I used this method to root, http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...&postcount=310
I then took a nandroid immediately after rooting. I then installed the latest version of CWM 6.0.1.3 (I used Rom Manager to install it which may have been my mistake).
I was then going to be in the process of installing a custom ROM so I went to wipe data / factory reset, but it just sat there and did nothing. I then tried to boot and I got stuck at the ASUS screen (second screen after the EEPC pad page thingy). It just sits there.
CWM doesn't recognize anything (can't mount SD card so I can't restore whatsoever.. When I try to restore it says:
E:unknown volume for path [/sdcard]
E:Can't mount /sdcard
I'm not quite sure what to do next. I obviously messed up somewhere. I'm guessing ROM manager didn't flash CWM correctly. I'm newer to Android and this is only my second device that I'm attempting to flash... not sure what to do. Please help if you can, if not, guess I'll be buying the new google tablet... shouldn't have done this before my trip to hong kong heh.
-----
EDIT: I can't cold boot either
So I can get into APX mode, I downloaded nvflash and ran the download.bat, but still nothing, it just sits at the eee pad screen and does nothing.
I tried this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMHXeYMgPy4 (with the TF101), when I run the download.bat, it just disconnects the device and nothing happens.
When I run that bat file manually I get this error message.
Nvflash started
rcm version 0X4
Command send failed (usb write failed)

I'm guessing this means my version is too new for AXP recovery... darn that's no good. I can't tell what version my transformer is, the sticker on the back is too hard to read (maybe because it's really late), and all of the other stickers I pealed off today... heh.
I tried getting adb to work, but I'm not quite sure how. I believe I have the drivers installed, but I have a feeling I messed up the SD card on my device so much that even adb can't recocgnize it.
http://theunlockr.com/2009/10/06/how-to-set-up-adb-usb-drivers-for-android-devices/ I followed this guide..
Ok, I can get into adb mode and can push items to my device, anyway to restore this way?
Ok, flashed a new recovery. I'm able to access my sd card (external). I found my restore, however, when I went to restore my backup it restored the system, but got an error formatting data...
Used this tool to install new recovery. http://www.androidauthority.com/tra...-3-root-custom-recovery-one-click-tool-97173/
trying to use the same too to unroot...

Huawei T8600 Rename '/system/bin/sh' to 'sh_' by accident

Thank you for viewing this post!
My English is bad. If this post have any grammer error, I apologize.
Enviroment
Device: HUAWEI T8600
OS: Android 2.2
CPU: Marvell PXA920
Problems
'/system/bin/sh' has been rename to 'sh_'
WIFI connect failed (stuck in 'get ip info' and then disconnected)
IMEI number lost
Root access lost
Cannot enter Recovery mode
Some app throw error
Cause & TrysI want to replace the origin 'sh' binary by 'bash' for more shell syntax & compatibility.
So I get the root access by SuperOneClick.
Then I run the following code:
Bash:
adb shell
su
cd /system/bin
mv sh sh_
ping my_ip
I want to stop the Ping command, so I press Ctrl+C, at that time adb shell break.
(My origin purpose is to end the Ping command)
Then when I use 'adb shell' command, it returns '/system/bin/sh not found'.
I realize that I have done a big mistake, so I want use Terminal Emulator App for rename it back.
But it cannot be open. (show a line '/system/bin/sh not found' quickly and then quit)
Then I try Root Explorer, but it cannot be open. (it's shown that there has no Root access)
And my wifi cannot connet (stuck in get ip infomation).
I try restore factory settings & clear all user data, but it still seems useless.
I install Terminal Emulator again (use SD card), but it shows 'JNI init failed' and then quit.
After I do that, my imei number seems to be lost. (use *#06#, popup a white window)
And device cannot be detected by adb, Recovery mode cannot enter either.
I write a app to run 'echo hello, world' command, it's okay.
I write a app to run 'su' command, but it returns -1 and failed.
I searched web for a sulution, and then I found:
ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/almost-all-huawei-stock-roms-firmware-updated-28-06-12.1671527/
Similar Question: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/q-system-bin-sh-deleted-accidently.1134925/
I tried to replace my phone's rom by Factory Mode (use *#*#2846579*#*#) -> Update, but it popup that 'IMEI error, cannot update'.
The question metioned in that link not support my device.
Then I tried to exact Update.app using Update.app Exactor, but it said 'Invaild data'.
Some Resources
ROM (T8600V100R001C01B016SP13.zip)
/system/app backup (app.zip)
It's all my mistake, I regret very much.
What should I do to save my device?
Re-flash Stock ROM.

I tried to replace my phone's rom by Factory Mode (use *#*#2846579*#*#) -> Update, but it popup that 'IMEI error, cannot update'.
And I can't enter Recovery mode, I press keys but it soon started normally.
I search the web but found nothing about T8600 flash rom by usb.
And adb device & fastboot device can not detect my device now.
Is there other ways to flash that?
Typically this is accomplished by ADB SIDELOAD method.
In your initial post you mentioned that ADB is working. What's really true?

Thanks,
I searched web with ADB SIDELOAD.
It seems that I should enter TWRP.
But I have no TWRP installed.
Or it break when I restore factory settings, I don't sure. I press down key + Power, the android started normally.
Adb & fastboot cannot recognize my device now, so I can't flash a Recovery to my device.

Thanks, but this link seems not contain my device's cpu & rom.
My device is T8600, and CPU is Marvell.
Do a Google search for a Stock ROM matching the phone at yourself.
If none found then take phone to authorized service center and let them try to fix it.
