Hi!
I've installed the latest Purumod ROM and am very satisfied with it, but I have one issue. When I try to unlock the phone (i.e. by pushing the Power button) the first thing I see for a second is the last desktop I used. Then the unlock screen appears, I swipe the screen and see the desktop that was visible before a moment.
I changed the LP launcher to the Zeam Launcher but the problem persist.
Any ideas?

So I updated my MIUI rom yesterday to 1.6.17. Everything worked fine, and I got one of the beautiful lockscreen to work (the five way one). It was a bit laggy, but it worked.
But now in the morning, I reboot my phone, and when I try to unlock it with the new lockscreen, it freezes! I tried opening one of the apps instead of unlocking, but that also didn't work. I tried waiting, didn't work. It's odd because when I move the unlock button (you have to move it to one of the icons, 4 apps and 1 unlock icon), it isnt laggy at all. But when it hoovers above one of the icons, and I lift my finger, it freezes. After that, the screen won't turn off, except if I press the power button, but then it wont turn on. When I press the power button along with both the volume buttons, it vibrates, sometimes more times quickly in a row.
I've also tried wiping cache and dalvik cache, also didn't help.
I'm running MIUI 1.6.17, with the stock 2.3.4 Jame Bond kernel. It has been told to me that MIUI runs best with no custom kernel, but I really wanted Voodoo Sound. This kernel worked fine.
I've seen one guy with the same problem.

Yeah, i had the same problem It's a bug in the new lockscreen. Don't use it until it's been fixed.

I am using the 20130730 nightly with recommended radio and everything is working perfectly except the lock screen. No matter what I pick (none, password, pin, slide) it always behaves as none. I manually push power button to lock it and then power again so lock screen option is used and it doesn't work. The phone just goes to home screen as if none is picked.

Mine did this on me yesterday. I just toggled swipe to unlock, rebooted and all was well again.

I have the same problem on my Galaxy S2 (GT-i9100) with latest stable CM10.1.3, I have disabled the Face Lock apk since I don't use it, but I'm sure it is related. I think the problem might be from Handcent SMS, I already had problems with it (in CM9.1, it sometimes didn't run the lockscreen when I was in a chat window, I had to go back to my launcher for my phone to run the lockscreen. It might be related to popup management ?).
I guess a simple reboot is enough, if I have some time I'll ADB that
Hi - I have tried multiple Lollipop based ROMs on my OPO. All the Lollipop ROMs have exhibited the same failure on my OPO: When the phone wakes up, I will randomly see a totally black - and basically unusable - desktop, but have a fully working Status Bar and working pull-down Navigation Bar. Holding the power button also brings up the shut-down options. so, I know that my phone isn't dead or frozen, I just can't see anything on my desktop. If I press the power button momentarily to lock the phone, I will see the unlock 3x3 pattern grid when I power on, and I can unlock the phone - but, I see a black desktop.
I recently loaded the official CM12 nightlies, and I am seeing the exact same thing. One thing I have finally determined (which I suspected previously), is that there was some sort of App crash during the phone sleep that had a pop-up message on the screen when the phone woke up. After a lot of random finger mashing and loud screaming at the phone, I saw my desktop again, and saw that "Google App" had crashed. After clearing the error pop-up, my phone has worked fine without rebooting ... for now.
The problem with this is that the black desktops become more frequent as time progressed, eventually reaching the point where I would reboot my OPO and it would power up to a black desktop. In the past, I occasionally saw a flash that looked like a pop-up message before the black desktop, and now I have confirmed that is what is happening.
Does anybody know what is going on?
The problem can be the gapps package you're flashing. Try another one.

Thanks! Do you have a suggested gapps I should try? I loaded pa_gapps-modular-mini-5.0.1-BETA7-20150111a-signed with this build.
After unlocking screen via fingerprint, facerec. or PIN I'm not able to use screen. It just doesn't respond. I have to tap "Back", "Home" or "History" (three buttons at the bottom of screen) to enable screen.
I have tried different Launchers (Nova), disabled lock screen, rebooted, clear cache. Nothing fixes this problem. One extra screen tap to enable screen is very annoying. I think this problem started abouth couple of days ago.
Anyone any ideas?

Everything stock.
I found the problem. Palo Alto VPN client was running background and caused the problem.
After performing the offered update to 12.0.8.0 (Android 10), global rom and factory reset, the launcher does not show a single app on the home screen (but they are all there in the collection when you click on the little arrow).
Otherwise everything seems to work (as far as I can see now), I can also drag apps to the screen.
Does anyone else have this phenomenon?
Did a 2nd factory reset now (automatically after bootloader open), again no apps.
I can't change anything via the home screen settings. The screen remains blank
What can be the cause? (I want to continue now with recovery and custum rom and want to have no problems, so it would be good to know in advance WHERE there could be something wrong).
