I downloaded flash 10.1 and I noticed my flash videos at HQ streaming through wifi are choppy. Why is this?
Too many background apps? I stream on mine all the time with no issues.
ughh...it's driving me crazy. it's constantly jerking. i don't have hardly any background apps. It also causes the stock browser the hang and only a reboot will clear the browser(have to use dolphin to watch).
its choppy because the phone is not yet using graphics acceleration in the browser and for flash. the galaxy s got a nice update to fix this, and it made a world of difference. an update from google will be needed to fix this issue for the nexus s.
a few threads already talk about this if you want to find them.
this is what i use to play hulu in full screen
Open the native hulu app
menu
preferences
orientation- set it to any
now just play any video rotate your phone and use your two favorite fingers and zoom to your liking. Enjoy
Thanks dude that works. My only problem is that hulu is laggy. Do you have the same problem? I know it's not my internet, I've tried over wi-fi and I get at 10mb down. I'm running sky ics 6.7
not lag at all on my end, but at the beginning it would start to show the video and it'd go away, so I re-installed the hulufied flash player and no more problems since then, I'd also recomend updating your rom to the newest by seanz,
Hello,
I just updated my tf101 to ics (ota official). On Honeycomb I think the YouTube app was the app I used to most, it could play HD content at full fps and there were no problems. Fast forward to ICS where every video either skips or lags when a lot of things are moving around on the screen. This has made the youtube app unusable.
When I still had CWM i was also using ICS roms, but they had the same problem, so, I went back to honeycomb and it worked fine again. For some reason I thought the custom roms were to blame so I tried the official ota.
So to my question, is anyone else having these problems? And if so did you solve it? Also, is there an alternative to the youtube app? (I have tried the web version but it's waaay slower than the app at playing video).
Thanks!
No problems here. You could try to goto Manage Apps and clear the cache for YouTube...and then if that doesn't work also clear the data. That would be the first step in trouble shooting.
for my case, is the 720p mkv files lagging, for youtube i notice some stuttering , not anything that obvious though. BTW many have reported video performance dropped dramatically on the ICS
So there is no way to fix this? I tried to download a trailer and it lags as well. So it is not just the youtube app. Shouldn't the tf101 handle videos pretty good?
I tried everything and finally...
I uninstalled adobe flash player, and it stopped skipping around. Wondering if there is a system conflict on this tablet as there is sometimes w/ desktop versions of google and the conflicts between shockwave and flash player... oh well, it worked. Super frustrating.
Hi, I've found a bug on official 4.2.2 p3113 firmware, when I'm watching videos on fullscreen mode in youtube the navigation bar does not hide and I can't control the video at the bottom!
This problem does not occur in Netflix for example. Anyone can confirm the same? Is there a way to fix this without rooting or going back to CM?

Happens to me on 4.1.1 and 4.2.2 . Probably is a bug with the youtube app itself. We just have to wait till they release a fix.
I wrote a review on the play store about this bug, if they ever read reviews.

Hello, when I attempt to play a YouTube video, it starts to spin but then just goes to the play button and when I tap it, it fails. When I play it on the browser I get an error that the video cannot be played. This seems to happen on whatever ROM I use that isn't based on the stock firmware. I am currently running Droid Kang v5 clean install. The few threads I have found that people have described my issue lead to no solutions. I figure this is a KitKat thing right now, I was wondering if anyone else suffered from this on their Nexus 5.
