To view it to its full extent...you need the 4.2 gallery which has the ability to open up the picture the way it was taken and twirl it around/circle in 360° up down left right
But without the 4.2 gallery (most phones/I phones) it will open up like any other picture/panorama...flat and not spherical...which may distort the photo as its taken to be viewed in a sphere

photosphere apk inside the 12/11 build?
I have couple of questions regarding this photosphere, so please bear with me. I am on the 4.2.1 from Dec 2
a) Would you know if the photosphere apk is built into the 12/11 build released yesterday by Scott? If not, where can I get the apk? Also, can I flash it from the recovery as a stand alone file or do I have to flash it in a certain sequence (ROM, gapps, kernel fix, etc..and then this apk)?
2) How do I enable the photosphere thing in the camera settings?
Thanks in advance!

Photosphere was not in the update with the suggested gapps package. I followed the instructions in Scotts thread. Then disabled the gallery app from the manage apps screen. Then downloaded the 4.2 camera zip from the thread in the themes and app section here. Photo sphere works great now.
Edit: here's the link to the zip I used.

I am using the leaked JB rom and runs great. I would like to be able to organize photos in my gallery app. You know, kids, pets, house ert in their own gallery. I cannot seem to see how to do this even with new pics.
Or is there a better app?

Hmm. I think there are only a few options..
1. Hook the phone up to a computer and make different folders for the different photos.
2. Alternatively, you could go in to your files and create folders from the phone and move the pictures that way, but I think the computer is easier.
Once you've done that, I believe there is a setting in the camera app that allows you to save pictures wherever you want, such as one of those folders. Not perfect, but I think these are your only options.
Don't know which ROM you are on but Synergy Gallery has the option to add albums from the gallery, you hit menu in the gallery and select new album.
That's a good question, I've been wondering the same thing..

Running Synergy d2vzw 15Nov12 2238 r118 s Rom. Can't seem to find a solution for only videos(no photos) being visible in gallery 1.1.30682. The photos just show up as black squares. When 1.1.30682 is set up as the default gallery, I also can't view photos from camera app. Really like this build, hopefully someone can help me out.
Had the same issue went back tonclean rom 5.0

The apps ripped straight from the Google Edition devices stated above.
Camera app installs normally and the old moto camera is retained.
Flashable BootAnim.(tested) 720p version
LWP may work normally else try pushing into system and change permissions

I'll be first to tell ya, this post should have been made in themes/apps section of the forum. And these haven't worked... (For me at least)

camera is working fine along with the gallery
photosphere option is missing though...
Remember to uninstall or rename the current gallery in order to install this!
bootanimation - ok
Camera - Photo Mode (Front and Rear Camera) OK
Camera - Video Mode (Front and Rear Camera) "FC"
Live Wallpaper - FC
Gallery - Works OK
Because I've changed ROM recently I noticed the pictures I had previously taken with photosphere no longer have the photosphere icon that allows the user to see that panning, 3d view
I've googled this without much success , any ideas what might have happened ?

So when I take a picture and swipe left to view it, it now takes me through the photos app rather than the standard gallery. I read that clearing the defaults on the Google+ app might work....but it doesn't. Please help as I desire the old gallery compared to the new photo one. Is there a way to change?

AFAIK, there isn't. The Photos app has replaced the old Gallery app as the standard image and video library app.

There hasn't been a gallery for a few versions now. Download QuickPic or push gallery.apk.

Will that change what Google Camera opens with though?
