just found out their is a official Ubuntu for the nexus 7 now my question is are their any devs that want to work on doing a port, Or think it can be done for the tf300t ?
Ubuntu 13.04 will come with improvements for portable devices. It is still in early development. It should take a while to get it to our babies. I can't wait for that!
Soot I can't wait for it to hit my phone having ubuntu as my phone and desktop would be awsome

Hi,
This forum is not supposed to accept questions but I didn't find any other forum specific to the A510.
From other thread I see that there is already work on progress for havin CM9 on Iconia up to A500.
Anyone knows of plans for having CM9 on the A510?
Thanks in advance.
that would be great to have a basic ICS, without any implementation of acer stuff !
i don't think there are currently any dev it.
oh yes, that would be great. they're working on a jelly bean release for the a500, but atm there's no developing for our a 510/511 :-(
does anyone know how to propose to integrate the A510/A511 in the cm-work? any offical suggest-page or something?
at the beginning i was debating between the a510 and tf300, and i chose the a510 because it was better in a lot of things. they both got released around the same time (a week apart). but when it comes to android development the a510 gets no love, the tf300 has several ICS custom roms and a couple JB previews. it makes me sad but i still believe the a510 is the better tablet. what makes it even worth is that the older model a500 is getting JB.

The universal question to "why no CM on X device" is that no interested developers have the device. CM is a community project where interested developers with the device want to port CM on to it, enjoying the process, however, CM developers don't just go out and buy a device just because users want it supported because well... they do cost money. It's their hobby, not their job
I have an Asus Transformer Pad TF300T, and I would like to install Ubuntu Touch on it based off of this thread. Would it work on 4.2 (the current version of Android I have)? If not, what can I do to make it work (downgrading, etc.)?
Please delete this thread.
I have a Asus Tranformer Prime tf700t and I want to know what board it has. A lot of the linux distros are released by board and not device. My tab is unlocked, rooted, and custom rom and recovery. I tried ubuntu but the preview is crap if anyone else has tried it they know. I am running archlinux on my pc so I am no newbie but I want to install arch, fedora, slackware, or debian. I want to run linux natively not in chroot, tried that and did not like it. I don't mind if the arch is just the bare bones I have no problem installing from scratch. Most people confuse the prime with the infinity and most guides are for the infinity and the images they provide obviously dont work for the prime.

The Prime is the TF201. The TF700T is the Infinity. So what do you have?
Both are derivatives of the NVidia "cardhu" Tegra 3 development tablet.

i think theres a HP tablet that officially lets you dual boot android or windows 8 on it, if you want linux and ubuntu instead i would get a nexus 7, im not sure if the 2013 model has any linux or ubuntu roms but you can check, the 2012 model is PERFECT enough anyway and i know they have unbuntu and maybe linux roms, you could find one for cheap on swappa.

i dont think the tab z2 has an Ubuntu rom yet, i see that the first one might have one though, the z2 has quiet better specs but since you want to multiboot i would still recommend the nexus 7 its not compatibility issues ( some might) so you could build unbtunu touch for the xperia tab z2 if you wanted.

Probably not, but you could try using a porting tool if you really want it.
Yes , you should be able to do it.
I was successful to dual boot windows 10 and Remix on Acer One S1002 2 in 1 tablet/laptop .
But for some reason the touch and keyboard is not working for me in REMIX , trying to find fix for it asap.
In short only mouse worked
Not sure if remix needs any drivers or update so that keyboard and touch would work .

I think that your situation is different because Acer s1002 has a x86 architecture, while Tegra has Arm (correct me if i'm wrong).
But i'm still hoping that someone realize a porting of Remix OS for this awesome tablet.

Any news?
No one that thinks a port of Ultratablet Remix OS (based on terga 4) o sometihing similiar?
