A big NO.... Developin a 3.x kernel isnt the same as buildin a normal kernel .... To develop a 3.x kernel u would hav to backport too many drivers .... Even RD's who r well enough in source buildin are strugglin to port 3.x kernel.... For a more detailed description u can hav a look at the UART 3.x kernel DEV in Galaxy SL forum by hill beast , Dhiru nd the rest..... Hope i made myself clear

hey why you use old tj_style's kernel? can we use official kernel?
and can you reduce the vibrate power in haptic feedback? tj did this by modified the kernel

coz i used the offical without sources without cooking it as its a pure source build i will make custom roms with this as base with more features and a bit of theming....

i dont want compare with another rom, because i appreciate their hard work. now im using garuda rel#1 because rel#4 still test for cm maybe next build im using rel#4

hmmm, morning.....what is the point of this thread really? when we have pure cm9 already (originally by Sakindia123, Lirokoa, Savves) you added apache license to devicetree, your kernel is slightly modded thats it....am I missing something here, if the rom was heavily modded I could maybe understand but its not, please explain

what a slighly kernel ?, i want ask you, did you try + compile and then use my latest kernel ?. i just want share my little work (not a seriously) because opensource doesnt ban people to work. i can build another rom with a lot of modification but i just little people doesnt have speed connection and im a new user htc pico (bought new 3 weeks ) so i need time to learn.

I could do the same, compile and upload to a new thread, but I havent because its already been done, I`m not arguing with you about this
you have a kernel thread already? which is fair enough because you`ve modified code and could be beneficial to others users and probably would work with any cm9 rom......I dont understand WHY you have uploaded someone else`s base rom with absolutley no changes to whats already available............this is xda developers not "copymywork.com" we want something original not totally the same

How to help me:
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. The following is a useful format to follow.

this got me so excited this morning i actually popped my sim in this phone for the first time in months. can confirm that wifi calling is connecting, will send text, but it crashes when you make a phone call. here is a log

Dude forget it. He's a winzipper plain and simple. And you should ask evan for permission or this can be reported.
Why don't you try something on your own if you really want to post stuff on here? Contribute to fixes of base ROM or build from source. Or at least theme a stock ROM. Come on dude, don't port stuff when base is unstable. Work as a community and don't just post useless ports that kids can do.

we cant stop them porting. we cant ask them to help fix bug or contribute to cm devs. coz if they know, they would, i guess. maybe we can just ask moderators to make sticky of Psychos thread to make it on top of this section.

Why sticky Psycho's thread? We can just request Jonny to create a new subthread under the Galaxy Y thread entitled "Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 Original Android Development". Psycho's thread can be moved there, along with a few of the mods like the brightness slider in status bar, dcsms' OMG! Status Bar mod and so on... It's there in most of the major device threads, and it's filled with CM7 (Official or Unofficial), CM9, CM10, AOKP, CyanMobile, Paranoid Android and a few popular ROMs like Creeds v4 (on the Mini thread).

I have 125g of dead weight
I installed CWM and performed the Format data/factory reset, this went well.
Then I tried to install the ROM but i gave an error and it won't install, i don't know wich error it was anymore.
I'm now downloading the original ROM from the Acer site, but i don't think it wil install becouse my phone isn't in debugging mode i think.
Any ideas or things i did wrong are very welcome!
PS: it's an EMEA device, and it was rooted, might this be the problem?

Owww, well the phone is now at the shop, trying to get it fixed in guarantee, but they will propably know what was the cause of the problem and won't do it, if i have it back i will try to reanimate it ^^

i am workingon new version and new kernel to get all functions to work and stable release

the recovery u can install after u unlock your device

its best to use cm10
for me its battery life with 6 hours of watching movie is better then with stock
and performance wise etc
cm10 also has working headphones

Hello people!
I've been working hard for some time and now I would like to present you ShenduOS. This is original development from source code.
Rom is stable and pretty fast. I think it gives good battery life. TeamBlur kernel is included so it works even better.
ShenduOS is perfect alternative for MIUI because it doesn't require high end device to run well.
Gapps are not included.
Not working:
backlight has but, has to touch brightness bar to turn it on

Downgrade to ICS if you are currently using stock JB
Flash any CM10 kernel or ICS kernel with CWM

You copy link from androidnow.pl... if we want to see screenshoots we must to be logged in this page I think it's better that you will reupload it to imageshack or somewhere...

kernel vegeance is not supported. Riches kernel should work. firstly try with default one

use OC kernel is too much drain of battery. or can you recommend to set ur kernel for use daily with gud performance? :3

I try rom. I like it ,it's pretty fast and great ! But i hate chinese text in status bar for date... :laugh: I mean i hate status bar, i dont like that style

You can install OTA Update Center from play store
