Telus RUU? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

I have searched all over these forums, and am having trouble locating the Telus RUU.
Anyone have a copy? Or can link me to a thread I missed?
Its software version 1.94 if that helps, htcdev only has the kernel source.

I needed it as well but apparently there isn't one available that I know of. It would be good if someone knew of where we could download one.

This is all I could find. is it in there?

Hmm no. Im guessing I could flash the rogers one.
Can a rogers user confirm 1.94 firmware with 1.11 hboot?

I could be wrong very easily but isn't it 1.91 for Telus an 1.94 for rogers?
Sadly I've forgotten which was which.
Soon as I bought my phone I got an away from stock, never even backed it up.
WR
Edit to add, mine is Rogers 1.11 hboot and I'm using it on Telus.

You can find download links on the first page of Google results. How is that hard?

No I haven't. So if I ruu to 1.85 I can reunlock? I got my phone with 1.73 or whichever it was. And I haven't officially updated it ever. Lol.
Sorry for posting a question in general, had a long day at work.

You can still flash radio on 1.73 no need to update to 1.85

i'd try flashing another radio. maybe the 2.20 radio will fix your issues? in any case, it's easy to go back to the old one if it makes things worse.

1.85 had some bug fixes in it and is a better base imo. Not directly relating to your issue but just making an overall recommendation.

Just ruu'ed to 1.85, reunlocked and flashed twrp. Now I am copying my TiBu folder back to the sd card (Did a full sd card wipe). Will report back after I flash Viper, and report results. Thanks for the suggestion, just wanted to make sure it was safe to ruu still, lol.
radio isn't really the issue. More likely to be improved with dsp update. These are flashed with RUU as well. Let us know how it does.

Seems to be a lot better. I will try it for a few days and them report back. So far it seems better and I have noticed the static during call I use to get on my home network (edge) is gone.

Does anyone know if its possible to call HTC and have them flash 1.85 onto the phone? If so how much to do that so that the people who are on 2.20 can have fun with the rest of us? Everyone knows money talk.

Once you're on the 2.20 firmware, your hboot has changed. You can't downgrade once you have the newest firmware. It just isn't possible. You would have to buy an entirely new phone and hope that it was on 1.85
Plus, if it WAS possible for HTC to flash 1.85 on it, couldn't we just run the RUU and do it ourselves? That's why it isn't possible. You will ruin the phone.

[Q] Flashing on Rogers HOX - Need for Fastboot or no??

Hi guys,
I've read a lot about the HOX but most of the information here is from the At&t version. I have the Rogers one, so I know I can unlock the bootloader no problem. Although coming from firmware 1.94 do I need to do the steps where you flash the boot.img into fastboot before flashing the .zip from recovery. This has kept me going for a while, so now I'm asking
While I'm at it, about flashing radio…does the performance of one radio vs another has anything to do with the carrier you're with. This is a confusing part for me.
Alright thanks!!
What version is your hboot?
1.09 or 1.14

I have no idea if 1.11 applied write protection. Radio doesn't matter on your carrier
Try to flash a ROM through recovery. If you boot loop you will need to flash the boot.IMG in fastboot as well

Well try an att radio first. If you dont like it try Telstra or Vodafone.
I was using Telstra for a while. My reception was great

No need for extra flashing on Rogers 1.11.
That's what I'm packing.

Radios are more geographically dependent (what town you are in, maybe even what tower or towers), than anything else. Carrier doesn't matter much. I've read of some people mentioning carrier specific optimizations for some radios. But I haven't seen any significant difference in performance for say AT&T radios versus non-AT&T (I'm on AT&T).
It really just comes down to trial and error. Newer radios are a good place to start, but that isn't a silver bullet either. New radios sometimes make for better performance for some, worse for others.

158 error usually means that it cannot find the image or you have the wrong or a bad ruu. Try downloading the correct RUU and running the exe again. Just to be sure, your phone is stock and has never been tampered or had cid changed?

Nevertheless, that error means the OP has the wrong RUU.

Please read before doing anything else with the RUU:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2181929
SuperCID + S-on + RUU = brick
If you are SuperCID (which you should be, if you are rooted) then the RUU not running is a good thing. It would have bricked you, if it ran.

Most likely because if you miss one step, you can brick your phone. I would suggest looking in the general section and clicking on ruu collection. Please make sure you read it carefully. Instructions are there. If you still are confused, you can go thru the posts. Reading the comments always help

OK just go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=37227608 grab the 2.20 ruu for AT&T only. It should say Cingular and ICS. Run that so you can upgrade. Don't download the 3.18 or jb, or else all of this was for nothing.

The ruu tells you step by step what to do. These phones are more tempermental than Samsung stuff. If you rush it and miss a step you will probably end up with a paperweight

I agree that Samsung+Odin makes life easier. But I like the challenge in AT&T (and Motorolas). Whatever floats your boat. Glad you got it rooted. Can you put a [fixed] or [solved] tag in your title? That way people can easily find the answer instead of making a new thread
