Hi ,
I am on Android 4.1.2 with CWM and Root access , yesterday after a reboot while changing the fonts through Font Changer Lite my desk clock went missing from app drawer and its widget from widgets , however , the desk clock is still there in system/app . And it also shows in settings/apps . I have alredy tried to re-install the update and also flashed system.img to get it back but did not work .
So , can any one help me through this problem .

Ok today i deleted samsung home from rom kq5(because i want to know how default home screen in kq5 looks) and was not able to see my screen almost a blackout but anyway i was able to install zeam laucher on my sd And use my screen but after hard resetting i got the same problem and so have to install another home laucher somehow
So pls anybody pls send me samsung home apk and plsgive the step how to push apk to custom rom with adb so i can push other homescreen app in cystom roms

Just download the "deodexed update.zip" for KQ5 from respective thread and flash it via recovery !!

I recently switched to Crash V6 XXLRG 4.0.4 ROm which is absolutely superb
The only thing I miss is the stock Samsung 4 x 1 news & weather widget.
Having saved it from a previous LQ2 stock ROM, I have reinstalled and can use the associated app but the widget itself did not install.
Is there any way of being able to install it?

Hi - I think so in so far as I used the install app function on CWM and clicked yes when the blurb came up about it being a system app and did I want to replace it...

Have you put this in system/app folder and change permission?

Thanks Dr Ketan & afilopou - finally worked out how to do this and have moved it to the system app folder, and changed the permission to the same as all the other apps in the folder, namely -rw-r-r-- but widget still does not appear in the add to home screen widget gallery ...
Am I doing something wrong?
I would welcome any other suggestions!
You did it correctly.
And you need to reboot
another thing are you sure you are not using autostart or same application and you have disable to load this appl on boot? this also cause not to display on widget list.

2 steps forward, 1.5 steps back!
I have updated CRASH to v7, widget now installed, however neither the widget or app will actually work - I get an error message saying "network error - try again later" which means I can't acess any news at all!
NB. Wif/data/downloads are working for everything else
There must be a way of rectifying this?!

Miraculously started working of its own accord - nice when it happens this way round as opposed to things that were working suddenlynot doing so...

Hello, I like stock News and Weather widget from android 4.0.x on my SGNote, but in stock android 4.1.2 this widget is not. Is possible to download this widget as apk and to install? I have no root acces. So I can only install it as usual application. Thx for any help.

This is the font installer root. The question is, why the default, only 4 is ticked? Yes, only 3 are shown in pic, scroll and youll see it. Can I pick more? Or why does it cause bootloops for xperia e single? Or do I need to do something about metadata inside those .ttf files? For tipo it works fine, until I ticked everything inside, get the font, and reboot then stuck in bootloop. Is it so different (ics vs jb) .ttf metadata?

Font Installer won't make bootloop, it smart app that will choose properly which fonts to be changed...
it's works on ICS & JB
This is the same app. If you use this on xperia e, it will reboot and give you bootloop. You see its that small because of dpi modding (from my tipo).

nothing tricky...
just open Font Installer from ROM Toolbox Pro,
choose your font (i've got fonts collection, then i don't have to enabled my internet/ offline)
select Install,
doesn't confirm backup (i've already backed up whole fonts and zip it as flashable.zip )
then i see its installation process does replace for 5 fonts
confirm reboot,
voila.... that's it

Exactly,when I rebooted it,I got stuck on xperia logo,will try again.

i tried changing fonts on my newly rooted phone <rooted via FRAMAROOT & font changed via ROM toolbox > which caused a boot-loop & all i could do is try .ftf flashing .
i have locked boot-loader & was on firmware ver. 0.59 & now i tried flashing 2.13 <vodafone or smthing , updated> BUT my device always disconnected after i tried to start the flashing procedure.
Now, will only 0.47 will work on my device or smthing else is wrong ??/ HELP.

Whenever i boot my galaxy core it shows Android is Upgrading dialog box.
I am on Rooted Stock rom and have changed only two apps from system/apps (S5 Style System UI & Camera with shutter menu)
I have changed their permissions too to rw-r-r.
Can u tell me if there any problem with package apps or this dialog box is common after changing these things if not then how to stop this..
(Its not a problem but its very irritating)

Btw I reverted back to stock SystemUi and everything is good now

I cleared the data and cache of live wallpaper picker .. From all apps tab in download apps ...
But still i am facing the same problem ..
I can use miui inbuilt live wallpaper . but i try to use other downloaded wallpapers its always showing the live wallpaper picker has stopped ...
And i have only 4 live wallpaper inbuilt..
Make sure your device is rooted, uninstall Live Wallpaper Picker, then extract the apk from the update.zip, and install it, reboot the device.

I can uninstall live wallpaper picker app with root uninstaller ..
But where i can find live wallpaper picke apk in zip folder .??
And i think i dont need to change it like update.zip

You can obtain the apk from the update.zip system>app , just push to the sdcard and install it normally, then use an app like LinkSD to convert the application to system once installed.
