Sorry about that, my phone had a bit a freakout. I actually had another question, which was if the phone could work on Virgin Mobile or not.

Virgin Mobile is GSM isn't it? The NS4G will only run on a CDMA network.

I don't see the connection. I'm running CM7-test5 and Froyo radio, no reboots.
Im thinking it has to do with the radio not being capable with the old cdma

But it is.
It's 100% compatible. Depends on where you are. I live in St. Louis and get LTE and eHRPD when LTE is being stupid.
I drive to my folks house, in the middle of nowhere and connect to Rev. A no problems.

If VZW released a radio that wasn't "compatible" with the "old cdma" as you call it, that would be the dumbest thing they could do. Release something new without anything to fall back on in case it fails.
I believe it works with it but that is where it is. The lte part of the baseband is looking for cdma ehrd or whatever it is. It may work with old but I think it freaks when the old cdma is low

Just FYI to developers. The hotspot was restricted with this update unless you pay for it.

not sure i understand your post, its just a reposting of whats already been made available from yesterday and there are better options. if you meant the manual option i believe sprint means its getting pushed to you and you cant say no. or thats how i took it.
i actually thought you were posting a fix for the tethering, but i dont need that either

Maybe...stock kills it for me (but Barnacle still works fine) and Netarchy works at random, Barnacle still works.
So my recommendation, just grab Barnacle and call it a day.

Sprint are d***holes for this one. Its a pretty cheap thing to give people tethering, then grab the carpet and pull it from under them. Looks like custom rom time.
not sure if its been posted, but " wireless tether for root users" in market is working for me...

Did you possibly go over your data plan limit?
Or running with a Sim from service that cant use the 4g service native to the phone?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
I was told never to try to go on 4g. Um ... I don't think its possible for me to even download anything over at the speeds that I get right now. It goes off and on. It just sets really annoying. I didn't do the flashing or anything. I even try to manually to stay on "GSM/cdma auto prl " and choosing the radioband to "USA "

Don't know much about cdma. when I was researching flashing a broken epic to see if its worth fixing the screen, I notice you need a boost 3g phone to do it. Could be that it wasn't. Could be your plan, area. Have you done a speed test?

I found a GS3 on craigslist for $175 and was thinking about snatching it. The phone was originally AT&T but it is factory unlocked. Will this work just fine on Verizon and will I still be able to get the same 4G LTE?
No, the hardware isn't there for that as far as data goes.

So basically no other carriers GS3 would be suitable for Verizon other than a Verizon GS3? Or is there another carriers GS3 that is suitable for Verizon's 4G LTE?
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
The phone should work if it is unlocked, however, data will be slow. Also, not sure how the new law affects it.....

AT&T runs on the gsm network. Verizon runs a CDMA network. Gotta have radios that can talk to the network....

Hey does anyone have any experience with this phone on AT&T or any prepaid versions of AT&T asking for a friend thanks in advance
I have been using it on AIO wireless with AT&T apns to help with data speed. Not a single problem to report and I get 3G+ everywhere.

Texas speeds with H+ on AT&T are never fair to the rest of the country haha. It's amazing how well it can compare to LTE here. Routinely get that and often times 16-17
