Just FYI to developers. The hotspot was restricted with this update unless you pay for it.

not sure i understand your post, its just a reposting of whats already been made available from yesterday and there are better options. if you meant the manual option i believe sprint means its getting pushed to you and you cant say no. or thats how i took it.
i actually thought you were posting a fix for the tethering, but i dont need that either

You'll notice there are PRL and profile update options now as well...

Maybe...stock kills it for me (but Barnacle still works fine) and Netarchy works at random, Barnacle still works.
So my recommendation, just grab Barnacle and call it a day.

It has been there all alone since I got my NS4G earlier this month - 2.3.4

Sprint are d***holes for this one. Its a pretty cheap thing to give people tethering, then grab the carpet and pull it from under them. Looks like custom rom time.

not sure if its been posted, but " wireless tether for root users" in market is working for me...

probably at the next ice age you'll see a release on CDMA
More likely to see a S2 1st, rather than a S on Sprint ...
Looks like there will be one.

CDMA is primitive...I don't know how it exists with GSM available

This one might as well have been called the S2 - I don't believe the S had any support for 4G like the S 4G does, no?

Gingerbread now available??

From Twitter
VZWSupport @mikefrostlpn Gingerbread is now available. A factory reset after software upgrade will resolve reboot issues. *AH
Is there any confirmation on this?

Never trust what a TS reps says they just tell you what you want to hear to get you off the phone
I've never spoken to a store or support rep who actually knew anything about what they were talking about.
Seriously.

Yeah, they'll lie right to your face. I had one tell me that my GPS issues were due to interference caused by sun-spots (if this were true, then why do my TomTom and BlackBerry lock instantly?). **** that.

Prl preferred roaming list, tells your phone about the way it connects to towers. Profile is for your data connection, used to sync your phone to your data access

Is there anyway to get the new HTC hub app from wp7.5, the new update, on the nexus s?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
I severely doubt it. You're talking about porting copywrited work across operating systems that are written and function in vastly different ways. It's already massively hard to port htc sense from device to device so I'm guessing your only hope is someone writing an app that looks and functions like the one you want.

That wasn't a concept. It was how you seem to think software works. You can't just port closed source software made with different programming languages from totally different OS'es.

Did you possibly go over your data plan limit?
Or running with a Sim from service that cant use the 4g service native to the phone?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
I was told never to try to go on 4g. Um ... I don't think its possible for me to even download anything over at the speeds that I get right now. It goes off and on. It just sets really annoying. I didn't do the flashing or anything. I even try to manually to stay on "GSM/cdma auto prl " and choosing the radioband to "USA "

Don't know much about cdma. when I was researching flashing a broken epic to see if its worth fixing the screen, I notice you need a boost 3g phone to do it. Could be that it wasn't. Could be your plan, area. Have you done a speed test?
