Hi. My Transformer lags on Clean ROM 2.3 with clemsyn kernel 1.8Ghz and some PIMP my ROM tweaks. Most wanted runs, but about two times slower than on my phone (Overclocked HTC Sensation, absolutley no LAG). Is it possible I/O matters? I have no class 10 sd card now so I can't use the SD tweak.

Nah,i don't think it lags because of the slow I/O,most likely it's because EA didn't optimized this game for Tegra 3 devices.Slow I/O could cause slow loading speed imo,but not such low FPS like we have on NFSMW.
I/O should not create any problems for games when you are not running anything else. The tf700 has poor random write, but decent sequential write, thus single-tasking (if there is such a word) is not affected. The most likely reasons are: this game is not optimized for Tegra 3 or Tegra 3 cannot run such a graphic-intensive game at 1080p.

OK guys. After much searching i've just become confused as to which is the best overclock app/ROM for the HTC sensation z710e. I used SetCPU but it couldn't actually take my processors above 1.188GHZ and I tried the sense-o-maniac ROM and also the android revolution 6.0.3 ROM, both of which say the processors are overclocked to 1.5GHZ but there is absolutely no difference to me, no they are not slower, and I just want a clear straight up ROM or app that OVERclocks.

I under clocked my cpu to 1 ghz and I see no difference in speed.... From 1.2 to 1.5 its 20% increase in cpu speed.... Speed of the phone doesn't depend on cpu alone... So thats around 7-10% increase in speed overall (because there is gpu, ROM, sd card, memory)... And thats maybe... Do you really think you can see 7% in speed? Try some synthetic cpu benchmark with 1.2 and 1.5 and only then will you see....

Well the app that controls the CPU clocking is limited in what it can do by the Kernel you're running.
If you're Kernel only supports 1.18 Ghz, Set CPU can't do anything about it.
So you need a Kernel that supports overclocking. The Kernel also controls what kind of governors who can put on the CPU (Conservative, performance, battery saving, etc...)
As far as the controller apps go though, I like the ones that can set the screen off speeds at a different rate than the screen on speeds. That makes sure I don't drain battery at alarming rates when the phone is in my pocket because a rogue app decided it wanted to get funky.
As Skipjacks mentioned, the overclocking speed is due to the kernel you have flashed.
If you are unsure on which kernel to use,
Always use the kernels suggested by the ROM developer.
Of course, you could try various Kernels but do keep in mind that not all ROM's support different kernels.
Normally the current roms has CPU clocking apps built into it,
one widely used is the Daemon control. It usually comes with an app that you can control the overclocking speed.
The current app i'm using, I use System Tuner Pro (yes I support app developers)
It enables me to force cpu2 online, which ultimately makes my phone faster.
I've been wondering ..
I've got ICS on my transformer and i've got root .. I saw some video of benchmarks for the transformer with HC and then with ICS .. and ICS was getting alot better score (35-40% or some).
I know some people where overclocking with HC and some custom kernels, but i doubt there is yet a custom kernel for the ICS..
But is anyone here that had overclocked Transformer with HC, that can tell me how much diffrence OC'ing made ? 10%? 20%? none at all ?
Also was is stable ?
I would like to go to maybe 1.2ghz.. 1.3ghz even .. But im not sure if it is worth the trouble.
I had my TF overclocked to 1.5ghz 24/7 (using Interactive Governor) on Krakd Rom and it was extremely stable, never rebooted or froze and I can say it made a pretty big difference in speed/responsiveness. I would say around 30% increase IMO.
It varies between tablets though so you may find your tablet is unable to OC at 1.5 ghz and remain stable.
The browser in HC @ 1.5ghz was faster for me than it is now on ICS stock clock (Revolution HD) so I can't wait for an OC kernel to be released for ICS to hopefully get the browser running a bit quicker.

Alost exactly the same for me except i seem to find the browser in ICS only a tiny bit faster and then only on some sites and then only whilst doing the initial render. After that render I find ICS to be much faster, even than OC HC.
I'm sticking with stock unrooted ICS for now and won't be doing anything different until somebody creates an OC kernel for it.

If you upgraded to Jellybean, I don't know of anyway to overclock as of yet. EzOverclock won't work on Jellybean and reportedly causes boot loops. I tried setcpu on my Jellybean Tf300 and found the CPU to be maxed at 1.3.

It really depends on how you use the tablet, and where your bottleneck is. My feel is that I/O is the biggest bottleneck on the ASUS pads and the effects are felt across the board. I believe ASUS is working on a fix, though. Fingers crossed.
I/O notwithstanding, day-to-day tasks like email and web browsing don't need a 1 Ghz. Even video playback won't be affected by the difference between 1.2 Ghz (the ASUS performance mode) and 1.5 Ghz (typical max OC). Rendering graphics, I'm not sure how much is offloaded to the GPU, so games or graphic heavy applications may be where you'll see the most gains.
EZoverclock don't work on JB it will keeps restarting your tablet when EZoverclock starts.
And other apps work but can only be set to 1.3 so no overclock on JB with this kernel.
I think in graphically intense applications, such as games, would offer the most notable difference even with gpu offloading since not all instructions are graphics related. That being said just know that battery life will take a hit.
Remember...... as of now EzOverclock will not work in Jellybean.....

Here is my quadrant results after recently flashing the Jelly Bean Hydro 7 ROM by seanzscreams:

Also, I did install a few games, which might affect the result. However, are our devices really this lacking in comparison to the HTC One X, or am I just doing something wrong here? The kernal that is currently running is maxed at 1300 Mhz, and I also "supercharged" the device using V6 Supercharger by zepplinrox (I used the 1000HP setting). I'm aware that I can overclock my device a bit higher by flashing a new kernal, but will 300-400 Mhz really make a difference of 1000+ in Quadrant? I'm a heavy gamer, ranging from emulators to heavy games like Modern Combat and Dead Trigger, so performance is very important to me. Also, this benchmark was taken using "Performance Mode."
Basically what I'm asking here is this: What are you guys' Quadrant results, and if they are insanely higher than mine, what do you use to achieve it?

Attached are my results. Mine are insanely better than the HTC One X. Currently i'm on Hydro 6.1 (havent had the time to upgrade), running Clemsyns 1.8ghz OC kernel and I am in Performance Mode while running the test. I have no issues running any games, according to the benchmark I am doing 58-62fps. You should do what I've done if you're looking for good performance.

Im currently working with Max's V4 RC2 kernel in combination with Cromi-X 4.6.9 (still need to update to the latest), which gives me a pretty smooth working tablet.
Now, im running the cpu at 1900mhz, 1225mV (still testing if i can go lower), and I can adjust speed and voltage nicely with Trickster Mod.
But, I would wan't to crank up the gpu speed (which is currently 666mhz I think?) and have the same "options/settings" available to do so. For example, a rom limitation of 750/800mhz on the gpu, with a variation of voltages to choose from. This way I can get as much gpu power as possible, since i find gaming on the tf700 pretty disappointing in terms of performance (of course a lot of games are not optimized for tegra).
Do you guys know what would be the best possible solution to overclock/adjust the gpu speed+voltage?

I think 666mhz GPU setting is probably reserved for Satans minions. At the moment the only way to control GPU speed is by adjusting the voltage. This is easiest using hunds kernel (3.1 if you have problems with 3.2) and his app. Together, you can crank the GPU all the way up to 775MHz and fry some eggs on the back of your TF700 and waiting for it to go into nuclear meltdown.
I know the gpu runs hot, thats why I want to see what speeds can be achieved with limited voltage. So you‘re saying the only way to change gpu speed is by setting a higher voltage for it? Why is that exactly?

You've posted this in the wrong forum, so it will be deleted, in the mean time there is really no reason to use 1900mhz even less so while gaming. 1700mhz at max (it can go higher but you wont see much change/ if at all in benchmarks/ games but u'll see the difference in battery life)
As for gpu i run 750 mhz but again the difference between 650 - 750 mhz is hardly noticeable, gaming performance isn't great on the tf700, the tf300t doesn't look as good but its noticeably smoother with 3d
Moral of the story the tegra 3 gpu isn't powerful enough for 1920x1200 the tegra 4 wont be much better, the tegra 5 is the interesting one

I have no idea, been wondering that myself. I even posted the question somewhere about a week ago, but no one enlightened me. I really reccomend using hunds kernel and app though. There is a "gaming" option in his app that works very well, good speed without the ominous red glow of molten metal on your TF700's back panel.

Are you saying increasing gpu voltage will subsequently increase gpu frequency? (i have no idea how it works, ive never bothered to look into it but now im interested) _that or Hunds will know but im guessing if thats the case freq and voltage must be linked in a voltage table but i would have thought freq could be changed independently to voltage

I know the tf700 isnt much of a gaming tablet unfortunately, but then again, why not setting it up so that it runs games as smooth as the hardware will allow ? Every small improvement is an improvement if you ask me.
For 750mhz gpu, what kernel are you using?

I'm using hundsbuahs latest kernel, the problem with tegra CPUs is thermal throttling, it starts around 72c on a lot of devices (not sure about the tf700) at 1900 you could find worse gaming performance than a lower cpu / GPU clock speed. Its completely up to you, hundsbuahs kernels give users a lot of flexibility as they can push the devices to the limit, I like _that's kernels personally they suited to my usage (what ever that means)
