Revert back to 4.1 camera from 4.2 - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I just installed the 4.2 apps zip from http://phandroid.com/2012/11/06/android-4-2-gapps-package-download/
and the camera keeps FCing on me. It will take 1 picture then freeze on that picture, and close and cant open it again, nor did the picture actually save. Ive tried to reinstalled other signed gapps zips and even upgraded on my CM10 nightly to the latest one but still nothing.
is there specific instructions to remove camera?

First, this is the development section, not the Q&A section. You'll probably get more help if you posted this in the right sub-forum.
Second, why didn't you make a nandroid before you flashed the apps zip?

You need to tap on the screen before you take the picture because auto focus is wacky. If you do that you can take multiple pictures without the camera app locking up.
It has been proven this is the work around for now.

You need to use a root explorer and go into your system folder and delete it that way then you will have only your original camera

i doubt it will work, Camera.apk in GB and FROYO are completely different. Or atleast it is for now. If you replace stock Camera.apk in FROYO using TB of GB you get force close error and vice versa.
tested on froyo.doesnt work.

Well, I tried it on Froyo before reading the above posts and... it doesn't work.
BUT I have a small problem now: I backed up the original apk, and used Titanium Backup to backup the camera application again (to be safe). After trying out the new apk (and doing a reboot), I just replaced it with the original one, and rebooted again. Problem is that the system just doesn't recognize it. And Titanium Backup just hangs when restoring the app.
So, there is no icon, the app is not installed, and I can't use the camera now. Any ideas?
EDIT: If someone could post the original Froyo Camera.odex (and apk, to be safe), this would be great. I expect this to solve my problem.

:O Should just let TB restore App+data for camera o.o, Try a hardboot and see if you have that option not freezing up on you
@ Misledz: As I said, TB hangs when restoring => It doesn't restore the app. Rebooted many times, didn't fix it either.
But just learned that you can extract files from .rfs images, and did that for my firmware - camera is working again!

New to rooting. Applications aren't working.

Recently rooted Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. As of now I'm running Cyanogen Mod 10. Before that I was using Cyanogen Mod 9.0. However I've experienced the same issue with both roms. My favorite apps wouldnt open. However Google play store works so I figured its not my gapps.
1) Spotify- just shows a blank screen nothing else.
2) Evernote- not able to create the database file and tells me to restart the device and make sure my memory card isn't full.
3). Lecture Note- App needs a directory at the media/shared/external storage (SD card) to store the notebook.
So just by searching the forum and not seeing much on the topic, I figured I missed something in the process.
I don't use titanium backup and neither am I familiar with it. But if I have to learn then please tell me so.
I've always wiped before flashing roms.
I know CM 10 is a nightly and all that jive but I really like it. But without apps working then it is useless for me.
Oh and not sure if this is related but every download from a hyperlink on a web page results in a download unsuccessful.

May be try to reflash rom again latest nightly for your specific device + flash gapps jellybean not ics + full wipe after flashing those (wipe cash+wipe dalvik cash in advanced options)
If not working so try wipe data of apps you want in setting
If not so send messages to developers may be their apps not compatible with jellybean need update

However I m not new to rooting

Netflix
My device P5113 4.04 stock
I rooted using this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1657056 but now netflix will load up, and I go to play a video and load forever then i get error 11003(note netflix works fine on my phone/ps3).
Does any body know a fix for this?
The original reason i rooted was to attempt to move the notification bar to the top (i hate it at the bottom b/c I constantly hit buttons). So i tried to do this:
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/18063-move-the-status-bar/
(1) download ES File Explorer
(2) go to settings and activate root explorer and mount r/w
(3) navigate to /system/
(4) click on build.prop and select "ES Note Editor"
(5) look for the line item called "ro.sf.lcd_density=160"
(6) edit it to read "ro.sf.lcd_density=161"
(7) exit and save the file
(8) reboot
Click to collapse
and I broke android(would not boot, go only a black screen) b/c i added this to the file, because i didn't find it, so i had to reinstall.
So my other question is is there anyway to move the status/notification bar to the top? Im about to go back to stock but, i will root again if i can fix netflix.

[Q] Two odd bugs....

Both have been fixed but I remain very curious as to WTF, I don't know enough about Android to make any guesses??
Bug 1, running CM 10.1 and somewhere along the line of updating to the latest daily (Maybe March 20, not sure?) my browser began to not work right, I could go to any webpage w/o a problem but if I clicked on a link in the page I was on I would wind up with a blank page. This was not intermittent, it failed every time. I could open a page but could not open any link from the first page.
Bug 2, couldn't fix bug one other than wipe and re-install from scratch (which I did later) so I restored my backup of CleanRom and all seemed well until I tried to install a new app and couldn't get Google Playstore to open. It would say "Loading" and sit there forever. I used the Goo manager to download the latest Google apps and that fixed the problem but.... Playstore worked at the time the backup was made and was set to automatically update. After the restore it didn't try to update, it just hung trying to open.
Again, both are fixed, bug 1 by a fresh install of CM 10.1 and bug 2 by a new download of GAPPS but I'd sure like to know what caused the hiccups....
All your files were moved to a 0 folder and that's why you can't get anything loaded up on cleanrom and you don't need to flash gapps and touch wiz roms. And also aosp rooms aren't always gna be 100% perfect since there will be bugs so don't be complaining about having problems.

Gallery apk

The gallery app on my Venom rom somehow got uninstalled. I've tried dirty flashing with no luck. I was wondering if anyone had the gallery apk or even a titanium backup file they could upload?

Viperxl gives you the choice of what apps to add during install. Just flash it again. If it's not in that list you may have flashed a bad download and may as well redownload, check md5 and reflash.
As a side note, why post twice? everyone can see when you post regardless of starting a new thread or adding to another one. If no one responds it's because we have lives, just be patient.
Yea I think I responded to your other post but just incase you can download it from my copy storage at the link below.

Camera App keeps crashing, error displayed

For some reason the Camera app on my galaxy 2 10.1 keeps throwing an error when I try to launch it.
It says can't connect to camera and I just get to close the APP.
I tried rebooting the tablet - it didn't help. Also tried clearing the cache for the APP and it didn't make a difference.
Running SlimKat rom 4.4.4.
Can someone shed some light for me on how to fix this issue?

Sometimes (this worked on a different ROM for the 7 inch version, but its worth trying) installing Google camera to system/app and removing stick camera works (always nandroid backup first so if something goes wrong you dont have to reflash.)

EDIT: also, did you clean flash or dirty flash SlimKat?

Clean flash Kitkat, can't recall if the camera worked or not when I first flashed it but I'm pretty sure it did. So it just randomly stopped.
Where does one obtain Google Camera? Right in the playstore?
And can I just uninstall the stock Camera app using the Dev tools of the rom?

Yes, google camera is in the play store. It actually probably does not need to be installed as a system app. Idk what tools are in SlimKat ATM but I've always just gone into es file explorer as root or used root explorer, mounted / and /system as R/W and deleted the camera apk from /system/app. Then just wipe cache and Dalvik in recovery and reboot. This may or may not fix the problem, but it worked for me. Again, make a backup first.

Don't install it with package installer. If you installed it from the Play Store, cut the apk from /data/app and move it to /system/app and change the permissions to the same as the other apps in folder. Google camera shouldn't matter though.

google camera is not compatible with our tabs....even if you do get it installed its pretty useless IMO. Grab your ROM zip and go into it and find your camera.apk. unzip it to your sd card and then go back in and long press it and reinstall it. It may (did for me) work that way. If not try another (different) ROM. Grab zip file go in and find the camera apk under apps, unzip and then reinstall. NOTE: for me, I had to go into Titanium and completely remove the camera app that i had and then do the above procedure. I trial and errored it and it worked for me. Finally
Edit: and yes, please nandroid backup b4 trying anything
