[Q] Advise a Custom ROM

Hi ! I'm italian ..i have a NEXUS S I9023 and i would like to install a custom rom , i don't choose because are all beatiful. I would like to install Miui because the custom rom based on 4.0.3 it's so beatiful but the battery during no more than 12 hours. Given i am italian , i can install : MIUI 2.3.7C or MIUI 2.2.24 ( pending language pack) .. which is better and why?
In the case there were rom better than miui , can you advise me and link ? Thanks so much!Sorry for my poor english

touch not working, almost bricked device...please help!

hello everybody on my first post here.
it all started one day while stuffing all app´s updates into rom (titanium backup), it started to give some errors and "process stopped" warnings..."well, no problem, just restart it" and then it got worse by not being able to use google keyboard at all..."well, no problem, just install any other keyboard app"...but then, i cant remember exactly what i did but the system got veeeery bad..."well, lets do a full wipe and reset"...."oh, since i screwed my rom with titanium there is no fresh rom to install...well, let´s google for a stock rom....OH...NO STOCK ROM FOR THIS DEVICE IN THE WHOLE INTERNET!!!"
its a (spanish jazztel gift) i-joy 10" tablet....googling here and there i found out that it was actually a allwinner a31 adapted to/by i-joy so i found 3 compatible roms (img format).
i downloaded all three, installed them one after another, all of them installing perfectly.
still, dissatisfied by the fact that none of them was able to recognize its cameras i did a deeper search, to read someone saying that some tablets from icoo where the most compatible available.
i downloaded ICOU10GT rom, installed it, started it and then "oh, everything is in chinese...no worries, i will change the language and...OH OH OH OH THE TOUCHSCREEN DOESNT WORK!!!!"
i mean, the screen DOES work but the TOUCH does NOT....nothing at all.
since i couldnt reach the "usb debug mode" option to install one of the above i tried flashing a sd card with phoenixcard, with no success (tried all options) since my tablet does not boot in auto update mode from an external sd.
so here i am, unable to flash this tablet because it is not fully recognized by windows when i enter "update from adb" and because it cannot update from an sd card.
and unable to change a thing because the touch of this tablet is not recognized by this chinese rom.
do i have a 10" brick?
if there is a way to recover this tablet i beg you to help me, please make it cristal clear.
....
if there is no way to recover it i will ask you one last question:
is there a SAFE AND SURE way to commit a "perfect murder" with this tablet so i can send it to post-service saying it just stopped working? i guess you know what i mean.

Tthank you for the link. One major problem I find with this ROM is the exaggerate use of RAM. At startup almost half of it is already gone and you easily reach 85% during normal use. Sadly I never tried making my own roms:cyclops:

Is it possible to flash this (A8H8 Lollipop) to A8H6 version?

Which sp flashtools to use? Whenever I want to load the scatter I get: "The load scatter file is invalid!". I have flash tool v5.1516.00

Questa è una custom rom con tutti i problemi relativi con le sincronizzazione alle varie app. Ha un launcher peggiore dello stok originale di Android 5 ..... Per cui preferivo l'altro modello.

I do have p98 4g (a8h9) with android 5.0 too, and i dont have any problems. I rooted the tablet, with the recovery of hanuma posted by hocuspocus on freaktab. Uninstalled all the chinese bloatware, install nova launcher and deactivate the default one with Titatnium, deactivate remaining chines apps i dont need. And now everything is running fine.
The only thing is that the rooting method is a little bit tricky. You need the right drivers installed, the supersu.zip on the sd card. Then flash the recovery via sp flash tools. Boot into recovery. The recovery is headfirst and touch is not working. So need to plug in a usb mouse via otg and then install the supersu.zip using the usb mouse.

Looks interesting but if can put back USB 3.0 function then it will give some edge against others current existing ported note 5...
USB 3.0 is one of the reason beside external memory make us still stick to note 3...

Now, as soon as I get it shipped i'll follow this instructions to get Android 6.0.1
The instructions in this post are the only things needed to get from 4.2.2 stock to 6.0.1 CM 13?
These steps:
8. THIS STEP IS EXTREMELY NEEDED: Make a backup of system partition
9. THIS STEP IS EXTREMELY NEEDED: Advanced wipe - Wipe only system partition
10. THIS STEP IS EXTREMELY NEEDED: restore system backup
are no longer needed or I've got to do CM 12.1 (as per your post there) and THEN install CM13?

unfortunately as same as cm 12.1 i have problems with startup: asus logo and then black screen and then asus logo .. and so on .. sometime three times, sometime 6.. and it's not limited at the first installation but also for all reboot.
In cm13 does not work miracast but this is a cm problem not yours rom.
As sama as cm12.1 blue flickering screen during digitation is solvable disabling hw overlay in developer option.

I am having the same issue after I fully shut down the device and try to boot.

Bello rivedere yatto all'opera, soprattutto dopo aver fatto volare il mio vecchio 810c ora lo ritrovo proprio su un altro device in mio possesso che ha subito la stessa sorte del MediaPad (cioè abbandonato).

cmq ci ho pensato io.... fortunatamente è praticamente un Nexus7.... Fammi sapere se ti piace la rom !

Sicuro! Appena torno a casa alle 8 procedo poi ti faccio sapere... Per le GApps io su CM di solito uso quelle di DeltaDroid, vanno bene o mi consigli altre?
Per fortuna che ci hai pensato tu, perchè avevo trovato qualcosina su 4pda ma oltre alla recovery, un kernel moddato ed un paio di rom schifezza sempre basate sulla stock non avevo trovato nulla!!!! E dire che quando uscì non costava poco...
