Since my update with dlpkgfile to .20, with keeping root
the asus customized settings always force close, when i try to enter it!
with titanium backup and restore i deleted some apps, but Im quite sure, none of them is responsible for the asus settings
it always says "unfortunately settings has stopped"
does anybody else face this issue since the update to WW 20?
maybe so has an answer!
greetz,
geri
edit:
solution: reinstalled "asus sync" via titanium, then customized settings worked again, in asus settings turn off "asus sync" then delete asus sync with titanium. still works! maybe it will help so

I am by no means a computer or phone guru...just curious about things. Apparently i got a little to careless with my curiosity. I have rooted my phone using z4 and started to delete files I thought i did not need. At first I couldn't download anything from the market so I unrooted the phone and then reset it. I then got the message SORRY! The appication HTC Sense(process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. I have factory reset the phone, cleared the sense data in settings that was able to get to...but nothing changes. Can anyone help me with this problem?
it seems your home launcher program (sense) is the problem. try signing into your gmail and going to market.android.com on ur computer. then search for luancher pro, and click install. then once it installed on your phone, click the home buttom, and then check off "select as default" and then click launcher pro. hope this helps!
Or just re-flash the rom.. Don't delete data partition and you should be fine with all your personal settings kept when you re-flash.
Hi everybody.
I have a little problem with my brand new Asus TF700 and I would like to ask if you could help me.
I just wanted to deactivate some of the preinstalled apps and services using Titanium Backup Pro, but I made a mistake by doing this.
Foolishly I completely deleted two services instead of only deactivating them (something about "asus pcsync" and "asus backup") and now I have recognized that I'm not able to use usb-devices over the dock anymore.
I think one of the two services I deleted, is needed to use that function.
Do you have any idea how I can correct that ? Is it possible to download the deleted services from anywhere and reinstall them ?
Thank you very much for your efforts.

Unfortunately it's not so easy. Titanium Backup deletes the app directly from ROM, so a factory reset will not solve the problem.
I need the files. I think there is no other way.
Would reloading the last firmware up fix that?
I'm not an xplert with this stuff...just thot a redo of .26 might repair your factory ROM.
...anyone...anyone...anyone else?
Hope you can get things back to normal...
download firmware from official website, put in SD, update. There is a link that is stick on installing firmwares
Ok, i will try to explain (english is not my first language)
I have strange problem when updating apps via play store.
When i go to play store and manualy start app update, and when update is finished, the app which i am currently using, like msgs, youtube, facebook if freezes and i have to close it with task manager and run it again.
The bigger problem is when i start update and go to my home screen, immediately after the app is updated, the launcher freezes and i have to restart the phone.
During this i can open notification bar, open settings and stuff but nothing else works.
I don't have many apps, maybe 15 installed, and i am running cleanrom v5.
Is there some log which can help me to identify the problem?
Thanks
UPDATE:
Maybe this can help to someone but the problem was because of restored apps with titanium backup.
I reinstalled rom and then dowloaded all my apps from play store and everything is ok now, no problems.
I am not sure but maybe i created backup of my apps when i was running cm10, so restoring it in sense rom could cause instability.
Trying to restore a system app which I un-installed and the spinning circle just spins and spins. I've watched it spin for about 15 minutes now.
I tried setting "App Processing" to each of the modes, default, interactive and classic but that doesn't seem to change anything. "Install from unknown sources" is checked in my system settings.
Any suggestions?
If it helps, this is on a JB LG P769 (T-Mobile) with link2sd installed (ext3 partition).
Thanks.

Titanium Backup does that from time to time. Just force stop it and retry.

Actually all I had to do was reboot the device and the apps were there. It seems like titanium backup was successful in restoring but just wasn't reporting it as such.
issue with superuser
Maybe posting here is close to necrophilia, but I had a similar problem (which did not get solved by rebooting) and this thread was the first to show up in google search. If the problems below seem familar to you, maybe this will help.
Problems:
- Uninstall Apps via Titanium (free) did not work properly, they always came back after the next reboot.
- Restore froze / took forever.
- Granted su-right several to dozens of times while creating backups.
Fix:
May sound stupid, but the SU (integrated in cyanogen 11) was outdated. That's it. Installed SuperSU and now it works fine.
Note:
Titanium Backup notes the outdated SU on first start and displays a warning message. But if you skip it without reading, then it's good luck searching.

Thanks. Rebooting the device did work. I guess giving it a minute(especially when restoring app+data) to spin and then going for a reboot would be safe.
Disabling Play Protect and Verify apps over USB before restoring with Titanium works for me.

Thanks mate! Disabling Verify apps over USB from developer menu did the trick
Hello,
I'm on Cromi-X 5.0.4. The stock browser appears to randomly uninstall itself. I am able to restore from backup, but after my next reboot, the browser will sometimes disappear again. Has anyone else experienced this?
Kind Regards,
Julius

This is the weirdest thing I've read in a long while.....???????????? LOL
Can you elaborate?
Have you tried reflashing the rom?
Yes it is strange. After doing a clean install of Cromi 5.0.4 from 5.0.3 with Hunds kernel, I restored from backup only missing files and data without restoring system settings. I restored my Nova Launcher settings from backup and performed a cold restart. I noticed the stock browser was missing when I tried to open a link in an email. The stock browser icon was replaced by a generic Android robot icon. I looked in the app drawer and the browser app was no longer there. I restored it from Titanium back up, but after my next cold restart, the browser disappeared again. I performed another clean install of Cromi (formatting prior to installation) and once again performed restore from backup as mentioned above, but the stock browser still manages to uninstall itself. I'm not sure where or how to start trouble shooting. My apps that call for SU are:
Titanium Backup Pro
System Tuner
Greenify
Battery Doctor
Clean Master
Rom Toolbox
Lagfix Premium
I'm currently on my 3rd clean install with _That's OC Kernel. Had to restore the stock browser again from backup. Strange. Very Strange.

How about not restoring anything after you flash the rom, check if the browser is functional, restore a few apps, or your Nova settings - you get the idea: It's gotta be something happening during your restore....

When you say it disappears I bet it is still I the /system/app folder. Can you check please. Guessing I'd say the permissions isn't set correctly or your restore from tibu is messing up a signature match. Are you sure aren't restoring a system setting or allowing tibu to restore an old id?

Hi. I have just performed another clean install of the ROM. Previously when I restored from Titanium backup I would revert to previous ID, and I would not restore system files. After I noticed that the stock browser had disappeared, I found the browser.apk in the system/app folder, but I was unable to successfully run/install it.
So far my with current installation, I have not restored from Titanium back up and, I am restoring my apps from the play store one by one. So far I've not seen any problems with the stock browser disappearing. It seems that my problem may have been related to restoring from backup, but unfortunately I have not been able to arrive at a concrete root cause.
Thank you all for your suggestions. Everything is running smoothly at the moment.
Cheers,
Julius
