The error is a spoof, just reboot, it installed.
With that said, anyone else have screen dim when loading the new LG Camera. When I pull battery and reboot the dimmed screen goes away, any other work around, as I hate pulling the damn battery.
Is there an easy way to root the official OTA? I want to remove some bloatware and flash the LG cam. The reason I'm on the stock official is because of the baseband which made a huge difference for me (and as far as I know, there's no other way to get it)
Thanks in advance

hmm.... It gets stuck at step 5...
See post 4 above. Xboarder provider rooted v21e OTA, you can flash over the LG update. It will preserve the baseband. Then simply flash the LG Camera.
Xboarder also provided a bloat remover.zip that you can apply that removes all the TMobile bloat. It could not be simpler.

If I understand correctly, this will replace the Gingerbread camera with the Froyo camera. It doesn't sound like it's possible to have both on the phone at the same time -- is that right?
The reason I ask is that I'm really much happier with the way the Gingerbread camera works with the flash; the Froyo camera generally overexposed nearby things, but the new camera does a good job of regulating the flash and shutter. I'd like to have all the bells and whistles (that I haven't needed yet but might be handy someday) from the Froyo camera, but I'm not willing to sacrifice the improvement in flash photos (which is something I do pretty often).
Not sure which is the best stock ROM here. Rooted my coworkers SK and flashed a stock ROM from Revolution, but it keeps hanging at the start screen. Can someone tell me how to get into recovery manually on this phone as well? Any help is much appreciated.
You flashed the ROM wrong & my ROM was wrongly built , ODIN back by using Ayoteddy's KG2 thread .

Like many others my G2x was semi-bricked while attempting to upgrade to GB via the LG upgrade tool....
I have since successfully upgraded to GB and "unbricked" my device using the KDZ flasher and V21e.
Being a noob to rooting and the such I have no idea if I can now safely root using one of the many provided methods on this site.
Please advise.
Also apologies if this has been discussed, I searched and could not find any similar circumstances
thanks in advance

You need to flash an oc (overclock) kernel made for your device, are you rooted? Do you have cwm?

Hello All,
I'm just curious if there were a workable CM9 port available for the AT&T HOX, could we install it with one of the custom recoveries since we have unlocked boot loaders and custom recovery? If so, what does S-Off give us?
Thanks!

if i'm not wrong without s-off, you cant place the boot.img into the rom zip to flash together with rom...
also... porting cm9 or miui or aokp...etc... will not be hard, but make the RIL work will be very difficult...
it will take alot of time ..and a/many genius of course..
the only lte phone has a work cm9 is galaxy s2 lte...

You can flash a boot.img in fastboot. You don't need to flash it in recovery.
