I have a Xoom MX602 and Razr Maxx I can get the two of them to pair via Bluetooth. They will however not connect. I have tried reseting both devices restarting and nothing will get them to connect. I can get my Bluetooth headset to connect to the Xoom with no problem. Any advice would be appreciated !!!
What is your goal?
Bluetooth tethering, or file transfer?

Both would be good if possible !!!

hi,
I am looking to buy a xoom 32gig tomorrow but my only issue is the 3G. Do i need the 3G one or can one use a use dongle?
I don't think there are any working fixes to get a 3G dongle on the Xoom but depending on which phone you have you can tether it and use the phone's connection. I use an app called OpenGarden on my Desire HD.

great, i have a desire HD myself so that was something i was think about.
i take it the sdcard works now as well?
If you have the Desire HD why do you need any app? Just start the mobile wi-fi surfpoint under settings? You get you 3G data connection shared as a wi-fi accesspoint.

Doesn't work for me. The Xoom connects to the wifi point but doesn't get out to the internet. Could be the custom rom on the phone tho.

Hi,
I'm using my xoom in my car as a movieplayer for the kids. The xoom is mounted on a headrestmount.
Is there a way to control the xoom with my (android) phone ? I just need basic functions like select movie, play, stop etc. So basically a mediaplayer remote would be good enough. Thanks for your input !
How about a tablet remote?
Yes, and you need droidmote. You install droidmote server on xoom and then droidmote on your android phone. At the moment both devices have to be on the same wifi network but in trying to get the developers to consider adding a bluetooth connection like with tablet talk.

Does droidmote require your phone to be rooted or the Xoom to be rooted?

SO if they have to be on the same network, Cant you simply mobile hotspot your phone and connect the XOOM to it via WIFI and then their on the same network? Then the remote app should work.
No, you don't need to be rooted. And I hadn't thought of that to be honest. Tablet talk lets you use either local wifi or a direct bluetooth connection to communicate and this would probably be the easiest way of doing so.
Thank you for this recommendation. My zoom continues to be unresponsive when charging, so its great to be able to use a remote for is when I have it in the dock.
Does anyone know how to get an open NAT or get upnp with Android WIFI Tether or any other tethering??
I am using my Galaxy S3 to play on XBOX LIVE and it really sucks not having open NAT. Tons of problems. Can't play with friends, party's don't work, etc. This is now my primary internet and I get like 70-90MS even... but without this working I'm sort of out of luck =(
If anyone can help point me in the right direction, or anything I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks!
bump!

I don't think you can open or close NAT on your phone.
I've had this problem with my router and I fixed it with port forwarding, but I don't believe you can forward ports on your phone.
As far as UPnP goes I don't think you can enable that as well.
Your best bet (probably) would be to plug a router into your phone somehow and then enabled UPnP and port forwarding on it through router settings.
Using a crossover cable I once got it to work. But since then I can't figure out why it won't. I used a crossover cable from my pc to my xbox and connected my pc wirelessly to the phone.
as described in this thread.

RE:
Have you tried using a router/modem with a crossover cable?
No. Do you mean with Windows internet sharing?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
No, I literally mean plugging a cable from your phone directly into a router/modem and broadcasting a WiFi network.
So how do I get a CAT 5 from my phone to the router? =)
How did you plug your phone into your xbox?
Either through wireless tethering, or connect laptop to phone via wireless or usb cable, then run a crossover cable to x box and use Windows connection sharing. Once upon a time I actually got this to give me open nat, but it was several months ago and I can't figure it out

Have you tried plugging something like this from your phone into your router's internet port?

Not sure if that will actually work, but worth a try.
I don't see how that would fix the problem.

It would work like a wired tether I believe.
Hi, I hope somebody can help me out. I have been unable to connect online for about a month now to my wifi. When I select the connection, it shows me full bars on the settings page but nothing afterwards.
I have no trouble connecting other devices to my wifi & right now it's just an expensive paperweight. I have no problems tethering with my phone & when I'm at the library with my pad, there are no problems connecting.
Nothing is customized & I'm on 4.2

I would try to disable password on your router and see if your tablet will connect then. If it does you might need to change the encryption on your router. Check what it is. If its WEP then change it to WPA2. Wifi doesn't have the best standards that are always followed by manufacturers and as a result sometimes things just won't connect.

I have to reboot my router after changing ROMS sometimes . Have you tried rebooting the router or maybe even resting it?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300T using Tapatalk HD
That most definitely has to do with your router. Check if you can connect to another device that has uses wifi (Xbox, iPod touch, TV, laptop) & if the wifi is working fine there. It could also be that you put in the wrong password for the wifi on your tablet, & it is reading the connection, but not actually connected.

Hi, thank you for the suggestion. I changed the security from WEP to WPA2 & I was able to reconnect my tablet with no problems.
