Noob question here, i would like to know if it is possible to send my cellular connection to another phone by bluetooth maybe? Let's say i have this old cdma smartphone that i like alot and i would like to use it sometimes but my line is on a new hspa sim card phone... Is it possible to establish a bluetooth connection to the new phone and use the old one to make calls. I don't know what VPN connections are but could this be used for making the link. My old phone is a windows 6.1 device and my new one is an android.

I bought a blubridge mini-jack Bluetooth adapter for my vehicle since it does not have Bluetooth. I can get the One X to recognize the Bluetooth (TX2) but each time it says it can't communicate with the device. I have successfully paired my phone in my wife's car with its built in Bluetooth (Mazda cx-9) w no problems..I've heard of Bluetooth issues with the HOX but not sure if its my phone or the adapter..it has decent reviews and haven't heard of issues...
Thanks in advance if anyone has info to share..

Edit: must be the Bluetooth device...tried it on my old vivid and it won't recognize it either..may be a bad unit but still feel its something with the phone.

FoxFi can be used for Bluetooth and Wireless sharing of internet.
PDA Net allows for a tethered connection, but an application must be installed on the connected computer for it to work.

It can connect to one s3, but on the other, it connects, but before it shows on the tv, I get a message on the phone that says current allshare cast connection will end and the allshare instructions reappear on the tv. Both phones have the same Rom (beans 9) and same kernel, (imo)

Is your dongle up to date with the latest firmware (LJ02)? While not perfect, I've found a lot of my problems went away after upgrading. If you need help with that you can check this post.

Also, very often I find that I need to reboot the phone and sometimes unplug/replug in the dongle to get it to work.
Good luck.

Dongle is up to date and I also have the latest allshare cast apk (the one blocked by Verizon). I've rebooted the phone, reset and powered the dongle off then on, still nothing. Still only connects to 1 of 2 phones

Update:
Both phones say they are connected, problem now is the dongle stays on the welcome screen and never mirrors the phones screens. Not sure if anyone has had this problem

I've got an Avantree Saturn bluetooth transceiver hooked up to my home stereo. When it's in Receive mode I can send audio from my GS3 to the stereo.
However, you can also Transmit audio from the Saturn. I want to send the audio from my home stereo by bluetooth to my GS3, so that I can listen with headphones on my GS3. I don't want to use a bluetooth headset. I want my GS3 to receive the bluetooth signal. This will be helpful when I want to listen to the TV (which is hooked up to the home stereo) silently on my GS3.
I can't figure out how to receive a bluetooth audio stream into my GS3. Can anyone help?
Bump
Have you tried putting the device in discovery mode and then have the GS3 do a scan for Bluetooth devices. If the phone finds the device during the scan, it should allow connection and then present whatever options are available when connecting to that device.

Does the s3 have the option of receiving audio streaming? I think only particular Bluetooth devices have that such as stereos

That's the question that I don't know the answer to. I'm suspecting that it can't, since there doesn't seem to be anyone doing it and there's no app to allow it. These posts and others suggest that it's not possible: http://android.stackexchange.com/qu...udio-from-pc-to-android-device-over-bluetooth
I guess that the apps that allow you to stream from a PC use wifi, not bluetooth.
If I had to guess. I would say No. It would be a nice feature. But I don't think our cellphones are designed for receiving audio through Bluetooth!
