Hello everybody,
I was wondering if theres a way to create swap memory on a Galaxy Pocket S5300?
I read somewhere that it needs to be supported by the kernel, well vm00 (sorry if i got that wrong) made a kernel for the S5300.
I flashed vm00_v1.00 without any problems.
Unfortunately i can't post in that thread, so i cant ask there but if you know anything regarding swap please let me know
I was also wondering if anyone is working on a CM for the S5300? or any other roms for that matter, since we now have someone working on kernels.
Thank you.

Its just sad you know...
WHEN WILL YOU START READING!!!!!
It clearly says:
"BootManager will not work with Samsung devices that are not listed because of the way Samsung handles the boot partition. Motorola phone's with a locked bootloader will also not currently work. Check compatible phones above."
which you can find on:
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.drx2.bootmanager
which is already provided on:
http://m.lifehacker.com/5826050/how-to-dual-boot-multiple-roms-on-your-android-phone
So start reading and stop asking!!!!
Also please change the thread name to [REQ] or [QUESTION]
It is misleading.

We need dual boot kernel For that
There are even multi boot kernels. I was using a g3 with multiboot kernel. I have personally tested it out myself and its good, however no1 has stepped out to compile a multiboot kernel. Anyway its not very important, worse come to worse, just use nandroid backups to restore and switch roms

Don't understand how u "research" cause last I checked the app used for Dual boot was Boot Manager and not Rom Manager.I already provided u with the info needed but since you dont want to read.
Do you know a thing known as google?
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=boot+manager+samsung
Go to the first link that is android market then go click on More info you'll get your answer.
And I'm sry to be rude but I request everyone to let him find this on his own.He just refuses to search anything before asking.

There's no need to be sowy mate! The guy is either thick, or just plain noob who doesn't want to use his gray matter for thinking and analyzing! Most of his post's are plain trolling & pointless. and thru such posts he has now become a "senior" post in just 3 months time! :banghead:

Hey guys
My friend has a galaxy fit and she wants to install ics on her phone and she asked me to do it. I am a galaxy r user and familiar with rooting and stuff. I checked out the forum but i am not sure what works best here.
So i request you if someone could direct me to the best working ICS rom here? And also to a thread that guides ms to install custom recovery on this device.
THANKS

First time posting, long time reading. So I had bought my kids a samsung galaxy tab 2 7 for Christmas and have finally decided to root one of them. I followed the noob guide at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1788625 and everything went fine, except for the fact that I cannot install Int2ext. I am just wondering if it is something I did wrong in the root, or maybe just a limitation of the root itself? I would really appreciate any help with this.
Thanks
Try link to SD, it serves the same purpose.

I have tried link2sd and droidsailapp2sd and nothing is working. I did find this link about the need to run a script in order to swap internal/external memory.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1961097
I'm not sure whether that information is still relevant or if there is something newer that I'm missing, but I'll give it a try and see if it works. Thanks for you help.
