Thank you so much.

PM me your mail address and i'll share you a download link.

Just PM you. Thanks.

PM back.

Having thousands of FC after updating. Tablet is not working anymore. Reverting back to 10.4.4.18.
Is yours WW or other SKU? I am asking for the US SKU. Thanks

US.

I keep having thousands of FC. Tried several times with different SKU

Did you root your device?

Yes. I guess I cannot use dlpkgfile method without root.

Did you freeze or remove any apps? If yes, that might be your problem. My way of updating: i did not remove any stock apps, i unfreezed all my apps again, unroot (rootkeeper) my device and update....no probems at all.

I didn't unroot my device. May be that's why. Trying right now. Will update.

[UPDATE] Rooted US Transformers 9.2.1.11(US) to 9.2.1.17(US)

Typical stuff, I take no responsibility for anything that happens to your device. That being said much love to Roach2010 and KTWombley for their work which led to my insignificant contribution.
Long story short this update is for the US version of Asus Transformer TF101. This upgrade applies to those who are running stock firmware that is rooted.
If you removed any stock applications or did anything to your stock installation this will fail.
I tested this update on my own tablet and my daughters who happens to have the keyboard dock and all was good. US only but if anyone wants to forward me other packages I would be happy to add them.
Try at your own risk.

I guess i need CWM to flash this?
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
Can someone please post a step by step for running this update? been a while since I rooted and want ICS
thanks in advance... I rooted but left things unmodified
do I just flash the update like any other rom?
Yeah you can flash over.
I installed OTA Rootkeeper and made a backup of my root, then I flashed the zip like anything else. After I the update was finished, I went back into OTA Rootkeeper and noticed that I no longer had root so I used the app to restore my root and voila, all updated and rooted.
I flashed this via CWM and it all went well.
How do I remove the message in my notifications? Also, OTA (even with root keeper) doesn't seem to work with CWM installed.
Is there a ww version of this update?
Hi,
kookooktchoo, thanks for the info about OTA root-keeper!!! Unfortunately I didn't read the rest of your post, I too flashed this update and lost root. lucky I had installed and backed up my root using it.
thanks a lot !!!

I think it will appear later this week.
You can still use ViperMod primetime option 1 to root after the flashing the update. Just did it myself .

Works perfect.. I did not lose root either..
Anyone know a way to get this to not check a current app? I only changed the SystemUI and cant find my backup of the original. It hangs on that. I tried the rooted+stock full version of the first ICS release but it apparently didnt blow away my ASOP SystemUI because its still failing.
No reboots or hangs so far. Good stuff.
Update the new firmware using the normal route. Still rooted after the update. No problem at all.
Worked great for me. Thanks!
The OTA kept failing on me so I tried this and it worked great.
For an 8MB update it took a little longer than I expected to flash (+5 mins).
Apparently this doesn't fix USB mounting of internal and removable storage on PC though. I was hoping it would. Guess I'll search out the separate fix. I know I saw it around here some where.

You have to be rooted to use that solution. I don't want to root at this time.
I think I'm a little naive in this situation. I assumed that someone would post the OTA file for users to download. Or will Asus post the JB OTA on their website?

Err, I'd thought if your unlocked you would be rooted also. Anyway you'll probably have to wait until ASUS post this at their website.
You are unlocked but refuse to root? Interesting.
Regardless you can root and use the method posted. Once JB installs you can continue to live root-free and be happy.
oh and the ota file is posted all over the forum. you just can't flash it if you are unlocked.
--edit-- looking at the instructions I don't think you really have to root in order to flash. you will need cwm though.

Actually, you don't have to be rooted. If you're still on the stock rom, all you have to do is flash the provided zip from a custom recovery.

sure you can, but in that case the easiest method needs root access, as you have to copy things into /cache.

how did you end up upgrading then? did you just go with the full firmware?
the zip files pretoriano linked contain the same blobs / patch files as those in the OTA dlpkgfile. if any part of /system fails to look exactly like what the updater expects, it will fail.
when i do an upgrade i take a backup, wipe everything, install the latest full stock firmware, and then apply the update. that way i don't have to waste time hunting down missing apks or other original files.
i only used pretroriano's zips this time around because flashing a zip is way easier than reverting to stock recovery, copying the ota file into /cache, creating the /cache/command file and then rebooting to stock recovery to watch it do its thing. plus he hadn't provided them for the previous updates at the time i did those.
yeah that's exactly the same method i used with no luck.
for .30 i just used the full update file from asus. i had just about given up and should have since nvflash came out a week later.
really just wanted the hardware updates at the time.
yeah i hear ya. wankers, sneakin in a signature check on us like that!

[Q] DLPKG files for TW SKU

Hi friends,
I have a TW SKU of the tf700, I recently downgraded to ICS .30 to obtain root, but after that my tablet cannot receive any OTA updates anymore. I can't seem to find a solution to fix this, so the only thing left for me to do is to manually update through dlpkg files. However, I cannot find any dlpkg for TW SKU anywhere on xda. So, I would really appreciate if you guys can help with either:
1. Fix the OTA update issue (no matter how I check system update, it always says no update available):
I simply followed the instructions from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1925230 and flashed ICS .30 firmware and ran Debugfs to root. As such, I did not made any changes to builds.prop or any other files for that matter. I have also done a factory reset, clear data of dmclient, cmclient but still no luck in getting any JB OTA updates.
2. Links to dlpkg files for TW SKU.
Thanks a lot.

The reason why I cannot manually flash full JB firmwares is that I will lose root if I do so. Since my tablet is still locked, downgrading is the only way to obtain root and then apply OTA updates to reach the latest version. Sadly I can't find any OTA update files for TW SKU.
Even though the firmware download page says you can't do SKU conversions, I think several people have done it - so if you don't find TW dlpkgfiles, maybe you can flash the US or WW version of 9.4.5.30 and then update that. But try to find someone who can confirm that this really works.

Thanks for the suggestion, I guess that is the only other alternative I can explore. The thing I am concerned about is that I don't want to void my warranty (which explains why my tablet is still locked), but to me SKU conversion seems to fall within the area that may cause troubles when I send my tablet to ASUS service center in the future. I definitely will read up on this, but it will be great if someone can provide verification.

20y stock recovery or flashable zip for 5.0.2?

Does anyone has the stock recovery for the 20y firmware they post (should have backed it up) or a flashable zip via TWRP for the latest 5.0.2 OTA?
I do not necessarily want to to a restore to stock (painful procedure) just to get the stock recovery to flash the OTA. If someone has made a flashable zip for the OTA update that works via TWRP that would be best. :good:
No one has a backup of the 20y recovery? Or will a 20c recovery work with a mostly stock 20y ROM with root and autorec? Just do not want a bricked device.
Any chances we will get a simple twrp flashable zip file for the update soon?
I followed the directions here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2663369&page=30#post60156407 to go to 20c. I then immediately installed towel root and let it rain. I immediately then checked for an OTA update and there was one, so I let it download and install; that was 20y. Once it rebooted I immediately checked for updates again and now it is currently downloading what I imagine to be 30f (lollipop).
Update: Indeed it was 30f (LP). I am going to let it stabilize and then do a factory reset just for kicks.
For anyone watching, I lost root this way.
Oh, well.
Thanks vween, will give this a shot when I find some time.
Just curious on why the need to towel root just to get the OTA ? Or is that strictly optional?

You have to force do the OTA.
(1) You are on 20c now, so go ahead and update forcefully to 20y. Download this:http://d-h.st/VJzP and then use the "dlpkgfile" inside the said archive. How to force OTA is mentioned in this topic:

Once you are upgraded to 20y then go ahead and follow the Lollipop OTA link in above mentioned topic, updating to Lollipop.

LG G4 Marshmellow Update

Hey everyone,
So I found online that the AT&T update to Marshmellow started on 2-8-16. I haven't been able to find anything officially from AT&T but apperently the version is H81020n and its 971 MB. Has anyone gotten the update yet?
Just saw this thread and figured I'd check. Went into the update center and notification popped up for new 950mb update. Must be it cause I was already on 10o. Didn't even have to use LG Bridge like the other carrier guys were doing.
Will post back with an update once completed

Debloater does not need root as long as you are running KitKat or newer :good:. Without root it just freezes/disables the apps instead of completely removing them.

not possible. you can't modify the system files and boot without a modified kernel. We don't have an unlocked bootloader, so no kernels, thus no root.
if you root MM your phone will just loop without the custom kernel.

so the file it downloaded isn't a zip... it's just 'dlpkgfile'

That's the missing piece I needed to understand. Thanks! Sucks, but thanks! :highfive:
got it! looks good to me - so far...
I upgraded early yesterday morning and my phone has been hot almost all the time!! The battery life is way worse than prior to the upgrade. I have cleaned out all my junk files and cache rebooted and recharged a few times. Also optimized my apps a few times. I just picked up my phone after 2 hours of no use and it was warm and the battery is draining at a faster rate than with Lollipop... Anybody else experiencing this?
Awesome, glad the update is out....I haven't done the update just yet...waiting to see if we hear anything about root. I'm wondering if we are still able to downgrade via TOT method if need be...if that's the case then i'll update ASAP. I actually have heard that there are some battery issues with the update, but again I'm not on 6.0 yet so I can't tell you from my experience.

Also can I just unistall SuperSU and update or do I need to wait tell I'm home and flash a clean image
