[Q] Everything on MIUI give me FC - Motorola Atrix 2

Hi, recently, i installed a ME865 firmware into my MB865, and then, i installed the ME865 MIUI.
But, everything that i try to do, give me a force close.
For example, i try to delete a message, and 'Unfortunately, Messaging has stopped.'
Or, try to search my music, and again, fc.
Is there a solution? Or at least, the MB865 MIUI works ok?

Did you wipe data/factory reset and wipe dalvik cache before installing MIUI? If not, that might be your problem.. but, not sure if your MB to ME firmware change had anything to do with it.

Change the language from english to any other turn of screen then back on..then change it back to english

For the dalvik cache, use something like root explorer, and then go to data>>Dalvik cache.
Open the folder and delete everything in it.
Reboot you phone immediately, wait about 10 mins before you mess with your phone.
To clear your cache you can do it manually by going to settings>>applications>>manage applications.
You then select the applications one by one, and clear their cache.
Or, i haven't tried it myself, but CacheMate for Root Users seems to have a good rating on the market.

Well dude.
Just upgrade to xxkb3 and flash the clock work recovery mod...search the i9003 thread for cwm and see the instructions there! Then, go boy into recovery and clear the dalvik cache! As for the market, just google for it!

Just backup your spots using titanium backup and after backing it up, just copy the titaniumbackup folder from the sd card to the external sd card..
And as for the contacts, just export then to the external sd...!
Then do the factory reset, your asia and contacts will be safe!

Ack. What about the factory reset? The downside is losing your contacts if you haven't synced them, memos, IMs, call logs, etc.
Can you do a factory reset on a routed phone? Last time I did that on another phone I had to start ask over

You can do it, yes, but you will pretty much have to start all over.
Barring that, can you be more specific on what you uninstalled, what was FCing, etc?
thanks for your help bud I just pushed the system app folder to my phone and now its back

Are you using ICS or Jelly Bean, or does it happen in both?
Do you use any task killer, like 'fast reboot'?
Have you tried cleaning cache?

It happens in both ICS and JB, but I use ICS cos JB doesn´t go fast
Do you use any task killer, like 'fast reboot'?
I´ve used Advanced Task Killer, but I´ve tried without it and It´s the same
Have you tried cleaning cache?
I haven´t tried that, shall I? How can I do it?

You have root access right?
Try rebooting into CMW recovery, wipe cache and in 'advanced' select 'wipe dalvik cache' and then go back and reboot system.
The other option is you flash a ROM of your choice but first do a full wipe (wipe data, cache and dalvik cache).

Nop, before.
Reboot into recovery, do the three wipes, go to 'mounts and storage' and select 'format /system', and after those, flash the ROM (do a backup of what you want, but don't restore data for the launcher)

Did you format system?
That's very odd..
Sorry for asking again this, but could you try using Holo Launcher?
(Btw, any chance you could make a vid showing the issue? I'm finding hard to understand the cause of the glitch in every ROM with every launcher..)

Many thanks for making the video, I get a better picture now of what's going on.
Still trying to figure out what's the reason for it to be killed once you open an app.
EDIT: Found this topic written by someone with your problem, see if it resolves your issue (hint: see post #12)

Hey... I found a Jelly Bean ROM (Burstlam's CM 9) and it doesn't have that issue.
So thk u for your help and if you found a solution for CM 9 let me know cause JB isn't smoother than ICS cause is in pre-alpha
