HBOOT versions. - HTC Desire S

Hello guys. I am on HBOOT-6.98.1002 and I wanted to ask is there any newer one and what are differences between hboot versions? Is it worth to update it and for what reason and how to do it? Thanks in advance.

[Q] S-Off vs Unlock Bootloader

Hi all
Anyone know if we need the bootloader unlocked if we already have S-Off? I have flashed a few ROMs already and was wondering if I would need to go unlock my bootloader to gain more customization options. Can we change kernels and overclock with a locked bootloader?

Hi,
You don't need to unlock bootloader via HTCDEV if you already S-OFF.
If you are S Off, just flash firmware from the user friendly firmware thread.
You'll have an ENG Hboot that says Revolutionary instead of Locked.
So, I rooted and gained s-off but haven't unlocked my bootloader through the HTC site. It sounds like I don't need to do this and can do everything I could on my rooted device right?
correct me if im wrong and 10x 4 ur helps

Yes, an ENG Hboot is better than an Unlocked Hboot.
You can do all & more than a Unlocked Hboot can with an ENG Hboot.

If it's official, then your Hboot is locked.

Did you follow the instructions in the OP of the MaximusHD thread? Did the firmware flash correctly? Are you now on HBOOT version 2.16?

The thread is in the One S Android Development section with the rest of the ROM's.
MaximusHD thread is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2445392
You must have S-Off to use this ROM. If you are not sure, use google. You need to reboot to the bootloader screen and it will say at the top of the screen whether you are S-Off and what HBOOT version you are on.

flash 3.33 universal
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
follow the instructions to the letter
and before flashing check md5 sums(important)
note: after upgrading your current rom won't boot because you will be on ics firmware and your current rom is gb
you need also to flash an ics/kk/jb/lp custom rom

[Q] HTC ONE S Radio collection

Hey guys.
I am searching for other RADIO's for my HTC ONE S S4 and my one for backup use if the One XL radio don not work.
I had problems with the candy5 ROM, other Lollipop ROM's and the OPO-4.4.4 rom. All has no or only sometimes a mobile-connection.
I would like to test if another radio can fix this but many files are down
Perhaps anybody can tell me how to extract my currecnt radio from OTA_Ville_U_JB_45_S_HTC_Europe_3.16.401.8_1.11.50.05.28_10.27.50.08L_release_301852xf01hejl416oev96.zip fur backup purposes.
I need some radio like the ONE-XL RADIO 1.35a.32.45.27 ported from here, wich simply flashable from TWRP or other recoverys.
I really wanna try this radio but I need my current radio as backup...
You be free to upload some radio's in this thread, cos many many radios are just down.
Found also this one here but I had no acc there.
Hope to got some answears from you.
THX.

Looked soooo good first until I came home today. Still a bug when I closed the phonecall (hangoff the phone call).
I try 1.20 and the 1.3X from the One XL.
Any ideas?
Here is my post from candy5 rom.
