Any way to flash radio on 2.20 from ATT after unlock? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hey guys, I was updated to the ATT 2.20 which I guess included the 1.14 hboot and have now rooted through the new technique with a custom rom. However I have found that the radio was not updated along with the rom and the radio thread states that I cannot update with the ATT 2.20. I personally do not care much but my problem is that my phone regularly reboots by itself in standby and it also freezes very often when someone calls in. I am pretty sure most my problems are related to the radio.
Is there any way to update the radio with the new hboot? If so could you please point me in the right direction? And I am running the Venom rom and flashed the kernel separately through fastboot.

My process was similar:
screwed up rooting on 1.85, forced into 2.20, rooted recently with new exploit.
except i chose cleanROM.
and i don't have any of those problems.

Can you not flash the radio through fastboot?

i personally like the radio that comes with 2.20. i flashed the 2.40 cm10 flashable and didn't notice a difference.

I also had a nasty problem with freezing/reboots when trying to answer incoming calls. Only way it wouldn't freeze was running stock software. I'm on 2.20 with 1.14 hboot. Every sense rom I tried caused the issue. Finally flashed over to CM10, a couple small issues but at least I can make and receive calls.
This is the first thread I've found where someone had the same issue as me, I swapped the first phone I got out for a new one thinking it was defective. :-\

[Q] GB to ICS & BACK to GB....Possible?

I am very much interested in ICS ROM, but one basic question:
If the Radio is not good for my region, esp. the voice clarity thing, and I wish to revert back to the GB ROM with the current RADIO which is on my sensation....would the Nandroid thing work on it???? Or anyway to download the radio which is currently there in my sensation...if yes, How do i find out the Radio for my sensation??
Someone please guide me...
I was flashing ICS ROM yestarday, but things didn't go right. Restored NAND and everything is working, and i still have back my old radio.
I have seen a few reports of going back to a GB ROM over in the InsertCoin thread, so it would seem like reverting back would be an option. It would also depend on whether or not you did the full process of upgrading to an ICS ROM including updating the firmware, because I believe 4.0.1 can be run on the original firmware but 4.0.3 you must update it. According to what I have seen regarding InsertCoin anyways.
Also, I want to say that you can find your radio information if you boot into hboot. (Take battery out, hold VOL down and power). Not 100% sure though, I usually just use it to hop into recovery.
Hope I helped
I flip flopped a couple times now, just make sure u reflash gb firmware if u upgraded for ics, and always use the radio reccomended with the rom. I've had no issues.
Here's my last 4 roms, in case anyone cares.

I am currently running android revolution 5.0.2 without updating my radio or firmware and it is running very well. If I want arhd 6.0.2 then I would need to install new firmware. So far I am keeping my option to return to gingerbread without any hassle.
Flashing a rom or backup doesnt change your radio. You have to go through your bootloader for that. I havent heard any bad news about going back to GB as long as older 10.xx radios are flashed as well. And people have actually gone back succesfully while keeping newer firmware and hboot. And by people i mean me lol. I have a insertcoin GB 3.4.5 backup on tap i use regularly cuz we all know ICS is still learning how to walk on our sensations

Did you flash the radio separately? I am having the problem now as I did a NAND restore to GB, but the radio is still 11.xx...I think the battery is draining more with it. So I want to revert the radio back...but how did you do that? Just flash the radio? I flashed the recent firmware from December in HBOOT and even though it says the custom radio was flashed, the radio still says 11.xx
please let me know

You can flash a radio through hboot screen just like you did with ICS firmware. Im not sure but i dont think the firmware zip from the dec tmo ota had radio included as all radios are rolled up in a thread in the dev section. Theres a radio flashing guide somwhere too

Just wondering if you had problems with the Lock Screen display with the 3.4.5 insertcoin? I tried it, and somehow the lock screen won't display the icons..even when it's turned on from the settings

TMobile Sensation firmware?

OK, so my brother has an HTC Sensation with T-Mobile. He asked me ot root his phone yesterday, which I did. I tried only 2 different firmwares, the first gave me an error and bootloops, so the second firmware I got was the 3.33 UNIVERSAL firmware. I then flashed venom SENSE4 rom. Then I thought everything was OK. The phone was responsive, fast, working well. I gave him the phone back.
A couple days later I asked how the phone was doing and he said he gets restarts often. So I assumed it was the rom and so I flashed an ICS rom...HyperNonSense 3.1, it was just regular ICS (non-sense) and now I am not getting a data signal (wifi works) and the phone does random restarts.
Is this likely related to the 3.33 universal firmware or is it more likely due to an improper root? The root features seem to work as they should. Superuser works, recovery works, I have 4ext recovery. I found a thread on xda that had the 3.32.401 firmware, which I thought I needed, unfortunately, the download did not work. Now I am out of options and hoping somebody here could point me in the right direction. Do I need new firmware? If so, could you please direct me to the one I need?
I own a G2 and I have never ran into a problem such as this. lol.
There are many firmwares, which is the one I use?
3.32 tmous release?
3.32 non-tmous universal?
3.32 unlocked?
and there's another 3.32 unlocked

flash the firmware again
use the 3.32 tmous release one (if his carrier is T-mobile ) otherwise flash 3.33 universal one
and do a random reboot check
if its still happening
then
flash the ROM again (use ViperS)
but do a complete wipe before flashing (i.e 4EXT -> wipe|format-> frmat all partitions except sdcrad ...and then do a factory reset)
then flash the ROM
if Random reboots still persisting
then doing RUU is best option
for RUU related queries check the below guide

[Q] CM10 radio update causing battery drain

I'm have been running CM10 on my at&t hox for some tiime now but recently desided to start trying some of the new radios out. I was running the 1.85 radio since first flashing CM10. I read in the hox CM10 development forum that some people were getting great signal and battery on the 2.29 radio so I gave it a shot. The next day I experienced rather quick battery drain and my device felt physically warm. I then tried out the 2.20 radio but experienced the same results. Once I flash the 1.85 radio back on battery life went back to normal. Is there a particular order that a radio and rom need to be flashed in? Should I wipe and reset before flashing a new radio (I was simply wiping the caches and flashing the radio)? I know I'm not doing something right just not sure what.
The CM 10 nightlies have the 1.85 ril pre-built within the rom so some say that the 1.85 AT&T radio works best with that rom. I have personally tried the 2.20 radio and have had better battery life and signal with the 2.20 and my phone did not run hot as you found. Did you clear dalvik/cache after you flashed the radio?

Yes I cleared both before and after flashing the radio.

Can someone tell me if I am missing out on new features? I can't seem to discern.

So...
I have been flashing custom ROMs since the One S came out, but right now I am having a hell of a time figuring out if I am way out of date or if I am doing just fine.
All this OTA stuff and HBoot updates...
Basically, I have Hboot 1.06
I have the 1.08ts baseband
Running ChameleonOS ROM Android 4.2.2
So... There is all this talk of going back to stock, getting OTA, updating Hboot (which some seem to not want to do)
What am I actually missing if everything seems to work okay and I have 4.2.2?
Am I missing out on better reception or something? And how so? I can update my radio to 1.13 it seems by using the CM radio installer.
Am I just over thinking things? Or is something way out of date that I should update?

No reason to update hboot.
If you don't experience any related issues, you don't need to update the radio either. Although I had a better experience with the JB radio (at least the 1.15 release) than with the ICS 1.06es. It has now stopped the continuous switching between 3g and hsdpa.
Some people want to go back to stock because they prefer the HTC Sense experience, and I agree with them. But if you are fine with your rom, there's really no need to worry about anything.

Firmware/Radio MAJOR Issue

Hi all, kind of a newbie, but I've been rooting phones for a few years and have never had this issue. I wanted to upgrade my ROM to Maximus HD 10 and that was a big mistake because it involved going to SuperCID and S-Off. I was successful with both, but I ended up uninstalling due to not getting 3G/4G. Well, plenty of uninstalling and trying new ROMS and still I am left with 2G only. I have flashed the latest T-Mobile US Radio but it doesn't seem to do anything. I'm thinking it is a firmware issue, so I was wondering if there is a firmware I need to flash and do I need to fastboot flash it or recovery flash it? I am tempted to call T-Mobile and just order a new phone in the first place, but I would really like to have 3G/4G back. What firmware do I need and also does installing a new RUU overwrite the CID, firmware, and radio? I would love to back to the T-Mobile CID and the stock rom. Please help, thanks!!!
Keep soff and flash tmob ruu. All ruu contains firmware.zip, so if you flash tmob ruu you will downgrade your hboot and radio. Also make sure you'll wipe sd card from bootloader after ruu.

should have searched and read some threads before uninstalling maximusHD. Tons of folks, myself included, had 3G/4G issues after installing MaximusHD. All fixed now.

I have drop signal issues, 3g and 4g seems normal but lose complete signal constantly.
i had home button issue when signal drops from 3g to 2g. home button activates itself sometimes when browsing internet and often drop action to homescreen. that must be radio related. and sometimes stock browser loose connection while chrome works. got tired of these things and everything all working perfectly when going back to Viper roms. any ideas ?
