[Q] E-mail isnt downloading entire message - Asus Transformer TF700

Since a few days my email wont download thew whole mail.
I only see a part of the messege and when i press the button for "download whole email" it says downloading failed!
Ive already put the mail size to 100k ( highest possible)
Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Are you referring to the ASUS mail app? I'm not seeing the 100k you're referring to. What mail app are you using?

Ive only set it to hotmail.com instead of google mail.
When u opend email go config>( your account> and then u should find the settings of the download size (100k is highest)

How do you change HTC Home to go to e-mail instead of MMS?

Hey all -
Searched everywhere, but got nothing but piles of other topics. My current ROM pulls up MMS every time I access Messaging directly or via HTC Home. How can I get it back to defaulting to the Chooser or E-mail as default?
Thanks,
Mark
EDIT - updated title based upon my observation from the second post and further research indicating there are a ton of folks (at least in the TNT thread) that are in the same boat.
As an update, it turns out Messaging will take me to the Chooser. The e-mail icon on HTC Home is the problem as it takes me to MMS instead of e-mail as default. How do you change this?
Add an IMAP or POP3 accout, doesnt have to be working.

GV push sms?

i have been using GV lately, love it esp because i can sms from my pc, but does anyone know of a way to push sms to phone, because the official GV app only does pull or you have to manually refresh the app to get sms, i wish it was instant.

You can change how often it updates but I think the lowest you can go is every 5 min.
and that still doesnt always refresh properly. I even searched on GV help forum the refresh 5 min rate sometimes doesnt work.
Isn't there a setting in Google Voice to forward SMS to your mobile number? Might not be exactly what you're looking for, but it does give you "push" SMS...

When i had my iphone i faced this problem. What you can do is create another gmail address, i.e. [email protected], go into your g voice settings in a browser and set it to forward sms to above email address. since the gmail app on android is push, you will get an email with the sms in it. you can reply to it just like you would a normal sms.

Could you also just make a label to filter them out, then you wouldn't even need a new address?

Yes, you could, which is actually what i do now since i dont need that method anymore. they forward to my regular email address, get a label applied and marked as read. Then if i need to reply from my computer i can just reply from my email rather than having to log into gv.
I had them seperated at first though on the iphone so i could keep the accounts seperate. hated digging through emails to find sms'

[Q] No "read" mails in Android

All, I dont see my read emails but only unread emails are available.
I just bought an Acer A500 with 3.1 and got also a Nexus S with 2.3 and both have the same issue.
I looked everywhere for the option to have both meaning read and unread mails but only unread is download.
I am using a standard gmail account and all get download properly on my iPhone and also available directly on gmail.com .
Is there a trick to get read emails ?
Tks in advance for your answer/support.
Sam
There should be an option where you can choose what mails to download/keep in your local inbox. Unfortunatly my droid is in the rooting process (sort of taking a while) so I can't check it out, but there is an option.
Search the Optionsmenu for something download mails and check download all...
Ah damn, can't remember where

[Q] Can't see the links in my yahoo emails

Hi Guys,
Just got my One S yesterday. Came from a G2X.
I'm having a problem seeing links in my emails. Only the URL is showing in my emails from Ebay.
Anyone know how to fix this?
Goto email settings -> Sync, send and receive -> mail size limit. Select any option of 25 kb or higher. Your new emails should have proper links.
By default, the email app gets text only and not html thats why you don't see links.
Yep! That must have been it. I'd actually changed that to maximum, but it apparently doesn't apply it to old emails. Didn't see the links 'til I checked emails this morning. But that must have been it.
Thanks!

Mail app

When i send mail over default mail app receiver see my email not my NAME. Have someone solution for this ?
It's in the email settings app to post your name.

Yep i set this. But still show my e-mail not my name.
?? Nobody have problem with sending mail over default app ?
I am having the same exact problem! No matter what i set for my display name, it just puts my email address as the name on outgoing messages. Posted the question in the huge "Ask any question" thread, but received no replies. Tried deleting and recreating 3 separate mail accounts, but they all have the same problem. No issues in prior versions of Android on other devices.
Seems odd that this does not appear to be a more common question yet..
-Mike
I used an sqlite database browser and confirmed my desired display name is being saved in the stock email app db, so the program must not even be checking that value.
Cannot find any other reports of this issue online, very odd. Has nobody else noticed this bug yet, or is it somehow only affecting a couple of us?
EDIT: Android bug report filed, please 'star' it to generate some attention: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=63280
