[Q] MotoActv Bluetooth Profiles - General Questions and Answers

Hi there!
I've rooted my MotoActv and installed the DPBeta8_1 custom ROM. Does anyone know if the Bluetooth Serial Port Profile (SPP) is supported? If not, is there a ROM that provides this support? I need this to setup a communication channel with a smartphone.
Thanks!

I've been asking around on this question for a while. It does not support the SPP profile because Motorola took it out. There are instances of people saying they have been able to add bluetooth profiles, but when I try to contact them, there is no reply e.g. Tansoftware says he/she has been able to get other profiles to work..but I haven't received any response to my emails/inquiries...

Hey guys, have you managed to enable bluetooth SPP on motoactv?

motoactv bluetooth (SPP) and IOIO
I am been doing some digging and have come up empty so am looking for some insight.
I just recently purchased a motoactv wrist watch and finished rooting it. I have developed a simple app for my droid X2 that I would also like to use on my motoactv. It is a simple interface to control an IOIO board. My question is:
Since the motoactv has bluetooth (no SPP support best I could find). Is there a way to somehow flash the motoactv with a new ROM to get the SPP bluetooth support? I would like to keep the heart rate monitor and mp3 player support as much as possible.
I did try the "bluetooth class zero" app, but it was not able to discover the IOIO board. I did confirm my droid X2 pairs with the IOIO with no problem.

Has anyone solved this issue? I've tried an app called Bluetooth File Transfer (FTP). It works when sending files, but I cant get devices to find /discover the motoactv via bluetooth. I could see why motorola took out this feature but man it's fustrating.

Android as bluetooth headset and/or headphones

Hi All,
Is there a way to make my Android phone (whatever it is) as an bluetooth headphone/headset?
I'll try to explain it in other words. I want for example route all my PC AUDIO STREAM (IN/OUT) to my Android via Bluetooth and manage it from Android.
So the end configuration would be an Android as an headset able to stream the audio from Android's Mic to my PC and to receive an audio from PC.
Same thing as between two Android Phones.
I mean, when i'm receiving a call, it would be nice to forward that call to another Android phone via bluetooth because the other Android phone will be like a Bluetooth headset.
I'll really appreciate all kind of suggestions.
Thanks
Francesco
i was actually thinking of the same idea last night..but i couldnt find any app that could stream audio from my pc to the phone..
may be i didnt searched enough?
I am also searching for something like this.
Did you find an app that could do it?
I did some searching both online and in the market myself and couldn't find anything related to these purposes. I would like an app for this so that I can lay in bed and watch a movie without disturbing others with the audio. I could just listen to headphones through my Droid X.
The most likely software developer to develop something like this, and has yet to make any smartphone appearances is Soundflower. I love Soundflower on my mac and it makes so much sense that they would develop an app for something like this.
i'm looking for app that will enable my phone to call(and make conversations) trough other phone via bluetooth.did anybody come across such app?
Hi, digging up, I was looking for this kind of feature to watch movies fullscreen VLC on my desktop computer from my bed, without having to buy meters of extra headphone cable or a wireless headphones.
I came accross Jamcast which uses wifi network instead, but it's much too complicated, laggy, and expensive shareware.
Bluetooth is the way to go, but we need to be able to use android as a bluetooth headset.
Anyone got news ?
I'm also interested with doing this. Found any app for this purpose?
I've searched for a while, and found none.
BUMP. this could save me from buying expensive headset which can't even last 1 day!!!
Someone custom-implemented the needed Bluetooth role
It looks like some Android device has custom implementations of both A2DP sink role and HFP hands free unit role. I can't post links yet. Google this:

[Q] Using the Android mic on my PC?

Is it possible for me to use my phone's microphone as a PC mic? (Samsung Captivate). I've tried http://www.placaware.com, but that only gives me webcam output. Anybody know of anything?
Thanks.
Hi snapplefish,
It has been a time since you asked this question, but I was looking for that too. The answers I have found so far are this 2 apps :
DROIDCAM, with which you are able to share microphone and webcam by USB (through adb, check the internet to know more about it), as well as WIFI
IP CAM : It is only by Wifi, but does a lot of other things. You can have webcam and audio through it, as far as I know.
good luck with it !

[Q] unlimited bluetooth identifiable

Hi everyone,
i wanted to know if there is any tip or solution to make my htc legend bluetooth identifiable permanently. I would like my stereo car connect automaticaly by bluetooth with my phone but it do not works automatically if the phone bluetooth is not identifiable... i would like to tick "identifiable" definitively and not for 120 seconds. any solutions? thanks very much
Once paired your head unit should do it as soon as you come into range? I know my cheap chines crap does!
unfortunatly not. but, as soon as I quote the identifiable case in the bluetooth option, my stereo car connect immediatly with my phone. that's why i wondering if there is any solution to hack the phone with adb shell or something like that witch force the bluetooth to be discovered all the time... how about your opinion?

[Q] BT device to connect phone to 5.1 surround set

Hey!
Not sure if this question has been asked before - a search didn't yield any results. I'm using a 5.1 set (logitech z-5500) for general audio purposes. I've already got a few devices attached to it. I'd love to have a way to connect my phone as well.
does anyone know of a bluetooth device that can pair with a phone, upmix the stereo to 5.1 and then connect through a surround set physically? (SPDIF, optical or 3x3.5mm jack)? If so, please point me in the right direction, I'd love to find this!
If it only outputs stereo, that would be fine too, but prefer 5.1
Thanks!
*Shameless Bump* Things get snowed-in at this forum really fast.

jam bluetooth with your smartphone?

hey guys,
i've searched the last few hours if it is possible to use your phone as a bluetooth jammer, found nothing, only extra devices which cost very much..
As a technic noob I ask myself if it would it be possible to create an app which sends some frequency crap to interrupt the bluetooth signal..? Is a smartphone powerful enough to work as a bluetooth jammer?
I would be very glad if a pro can answer to my thread and write if its possible.
greetings from Germany
Bump... I need this program too for jamming JBL speakers in bus.
Hah, i just search for same.. Some dickhead turned vol. On max. At quiet beach..
it is possible with an external wifi adapter like tp link or alfa and kali nethunter installed on your phone it requires a certain kernel to work and the phone must be rooted.
the built in phone antenna doesnt support packet injection and deauthentication thats why you use an externel wifi card.
