Hey!
Not sure if this question has been asked before - a search didn't yield any results. I'm using a 5.1 set (logitech z-5500) for general audio purposes. I've already got a few devices attached to it. I'd love to have a way to connect my phone as well.
does anyone know of a bluetooth device that can pair with a phone, upmix the stereo to 5.1 and then connect through a surround set physically? (SPDIF, optical or 3x3.5mm jack)? If so, please point me in the right direction, I'd love to find this!
If it only outputs stereo, that would be fine too, but prefer 5.1
Thanks!

Hi, folks!
My old laptop is nearing the end of its lifecycle and now its soundcard got busted and I can't find a way to get it working again.
I could go to a shop to buy an USB-soundcard, but that would be
a) too easy and
b) waste of resources
- as I'm aiming to buy a new laptop soon enough. But until that time I need to hear some sound from the box anyway (some music, some movies and some training videos) so I wonder if it's possible to use the HD2 as a soundcard and get the audio output from its 3,5mm jack. Either by bluetooth or cable connection..
Is there a specific application for this?
phone is running stock winmo 6.5
pc is win7ultimate in intel T7700:2x2.4GHz/4GbRam/500GbHDD box, BT enabled.
Any ideas how it could be done?
Thanks a lot!
Edit: Ohcrap. Posted it in the wrong subforum. n00b-ish, I know. The correct post/thread can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1279180
OK.. so first question you are probably asking is WHY??
I am looking to build an in-car computer with one of those little android computers, touch screen monitor, all hooked up to an amp and then my standard car speakers..I want to then use this to take calls from my Samsung S2 and also playback music.
So what I am trying to find out is if it is possible to get android to act as a headset / audio playback device? Have looked around but found nothing helpful. Any thoughts??

I have looked everywhere for this so sorry if I missed something. I new I am a "noob" with hardly any posts, but I don't post because I always find what I need. So, here goes. I have the VZW GS3 running Synergy. I'm trying to connect it to my after-market navigation unit (Clarion NX602) via bluetooth. I can connect the phone audio, make and place calls without problem. However, when I go to the bluetooth audio function on the unit it will act like it connects and then the media audio box will uncheck. PLEASE help. It worked flawless with my iphone 4s and I'd really like to keep my GS3.
Sorry for creating a new thread if I missed this being addressed.
Same for me... I have an international version of sg3 and a NX602. No audio bluetooth connection. Do you also tried to connect it as USB for music play?
This is actually incredible. Before upgrading to Lollipop on Galaxy S5 I was able to plug my DAC (a Dragonfly 1.2) via USB OTG cable into my Galaxy S5 and enjoy pristine usb audio without a single hint of a problem - all apps working - MX Player, Inbuilt Music App, Poweramp etc - all working perfectly.
Then I upgrade to Lollipop, which is supposed to be great for USB Audio, and it doesn't work any more. At all. I am now back to using an app called USB Audio Player Pro, which allows you to use DAC audio devices to connect to headphones and (thank god!) this still works awesomely, but I was really enjoying all my apps making use of my USB audio device and now that has just been screwed over by the update.
There was so much pleasure in just plugging in a usb audio device into the phone via an OTG cable and everything working great, but now I just fall on my knees and shake my fists in the air bellowing "WWWHHHHYYYYYYY??!!!!"
Has this affected anyone else ? I've restarted, factory reset since the update and googled the crap outta this and all I can find are people saying "Yay! USB Audio functionality has been added with Lollipop".
From my perspective, this appears to be balls.
I'll happily downgrade back to the older android OS if its possible just to get this one happy function back.
Hi I think you should ask your question here instead. There are lots of active people in that forum that will give you some answers and hopefully a solution.
thank you and good luck
Hi Everyone, I'm new here - just made an account because I cannot figure this problem out. I just started playing around with Xposed and I LOVE it by the way!
but unfortunately that's not why I'm here. I have a Headrush bluetooth headset, it's great, has a built in mic, a2dp & works for calls even on a old ipod touch 4th gen
for some reason though, my Lenovo a-5500f a8 ideatab running android 4.4.2 won't read the mic, I only have the media option, no call option I don't know what to do.
there's like nothing at all on this, I read ONE forum that someone was experiencing my problem, and the only answer was that it's most likely because it's a WiFi tablet &
wasn't meant to make phone calls on. I love my tablet & my headphones & would really be blown away if I could find a solution to this. I'm good with Linux & Windows,
just learning Android stuff & it's really similar to Linux so it's not too far off, but I'm so clueless on this..
So an overview: my tablet won't detect the mic/phone call protocol for this headset, the headset works 100% on all other devices except for my new tablet
I also have a few USB OTG's, is it possible I could perhaps run another bluetooth through a OTG? SixAxis works great, I can connect a controller, but not this mic..
any brainstorming to this helps, thank you.
