I want to create a form that has fill able fields and a place to sigh by a customer. I would like it to be modifiable when necessary and able to attach pics . I also need to be able to email it and print it. Who makes a good app to do this?
I have done searches and found a few. but their web sites suck as to showing what it will do. they just describe it, no examples. they don't even give prices. I also do not want to keep the forms in the cloud and I don't want to pay a monthly subscription to use them.
Here's an example of one for the Apple. http://www.formconnections.com/

The only I seen that mimics what you are looking for is this. I used it for photography. I am sure you can alter the documents or release type and it also lets you arttach pics and will email a pdf to you and a client. I searched it up online and used a pirated copy and bought the app immediately after trying it.

Yeah. It's only if it's purchased from Sammy's store that the issues come in. Other devices won't know you own it and you can only get updates when Sammy gives them to you. Learned the hard way about app stores other than Google's.

Hello xdadevelopers,
I've been having a heck of a time accessing the market to get U.S. apps that I'm otherwise entitled to owning. Being outside the country doesn't allow me to download these.
I then came across:
http://www.abtevrythng.com/2010/10/how-to-download-android-apps-which-are.html
As you can read from the instructions, it states that you must hand over your Google username and password.
Humm.... Isn't that exactly what one should not do????
I have not used AppBrain myself, but it is a huge and very popular portal.
I doubt it will misuse your google credentials and i probably would have heard of something like that happening.
But i can understand your worries and it is good to ask before just entering ones passwords and account into random sites.
Lets wait for another answer, maybe from someone using appbrain, as i don't plan on signing up there .

Zikk is unique mobile to mobile remote support app.
So what's so special about Zikk?
It is designed for consumers and not for IT depatments and operators,
therefore it is extremely simple and user friendly.
It provides full privacy protection - no screen sharing, and no access to SMS, email, etc.
It doesn't require constant internet access, and doesn't prevent the recipient from using his
phone for other purposes during the process.
It supports all Android devices (2.2 and above).
In addition to remote support, Zikk contains a local settings menu which uses Zikk's simple
and friendly interface.
When people have a hard time setting up their smartphones, they ask help from their friends
and family - Zikk enables users to help each other.
APK attached. Also available on Google-Play (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zikk.alpha)
where you will also find a short and helpful demo video. You van also find the video on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsP9-Lpfwpk).
So both people need Zikk installed, I presume? Does the person you are helping get prompted to download it?

Correct. If the selected contact does not have the app, the user will be asked to allow sending
an automatic SMS with a link to the download page. There is also a share option where you can
send this message (via SMS, WhatsApp, Facebook, etc.) to one or more people.

The current version is designed for Android phones does not support WiFi-only tablets or
large screen tablets, however in a few weeks I will publish the tablet version, which will
include UI adjustments, tablet related features and a different registration process.
Sounds AMAZING! I'd really like to use this to help my friends and family. I live in India though
No worries, I'll wait
fantastic idea!!! this will surely take off!! kudos to the OP!!
how far this app will go ? I mean can I help someone from anywhere ?
What about phone types? What if my phone is a Nexus and the other device is a HTC?

Actually a version for rooted users is an interesting idea. Not sure how common "less tech savvy"
rooted users are though. If you have more ideas for features for rooted users I would love to hear them.
I actually have a friend who is just getting into root use who calls for advice when he needs it. Let's be honest we were all beginners once and maybe could have used a little hand. He moved recently so there is distance involved now. This looks like a great idea.
I would love to have access to the settings menus, root file explorer and perhaps apps he already has installed such as set CPU or apps of that nature.
Beginners in root use are just as confused by root abilities as beginners in android are of it's stock features at times.
It would be really great to be able to start a log cat app and have your friend do something that normally causes a crash for example if they are not advanced enough to run one themselves. A current issue I have on hand. Trying to explain how to run one and sending videos to watch.
Hope this keeps going

Everyone knows that feeling when someone asks to use your phone but you're afraid to let them because they can go through everything on it. This is a serious privacy issue within Android; there is no easy way to lend others your phone without them being able to go through it. That's why I created Obstructer, an app for Android that blocks access to your device's content when you let others use your phone. It works by disabling the home button, the recent app screen and the notification bar. This makes everything on your phone inaccessible until you enter a password that opens when the call is ended.
So tell me what you think, the link is below.

I actually am in the process of doing this, making an upgraded version that includes messaging, image viewer and browser.
I am new to the app scene. I was curious if there was a way to store apps locally, without the need of sales/Play Store/Amazon Store/etc.
I am just looking at storing it locally on a phone, or possibly a tablet, to show to potential clients. And also for portfolio purposes, down the road.
Again, I am a self-professed "noob", so all help is appreciated.
Thank you.

unless it is your personal app, you will need to get it from one of the stores at some point.
some apps can be downloaded by other means, but that is highly frowned upon, and against the rules to even discuss here (so please dont comment back on it).
if your device is rooted, you could use an app like titanium to make a backup of all the apps. then they would be saved locally, but i dont know how compatible that backup would be if you tried to restore it on other devices.
i would think if its a paid app, there is likely some entitlement verification coded into the app. so if it cant verify through one of the stores, it likely wont work properly if at all.
It would be apps that I build. So it would be for my own personal use. Like I said, it's to show potential clients. I would be using it to show how an app works, as a display to the client.
It will be my work. And it will be strictly for my clients.
All help is appreciated.
Thanks.

once you install an app on any device, from any source, you can use
1.apk extractor
2.es file explorer
to have the apk file, which can then be run on other devices as an installer.
or, you could dowbnload the apk straight from google play, search how with the search button.
Ok help me understand this.
It will be your app. One you make for your clients. which would mean your doing all the coding and building of the app, But you dont know how to store a simple apk on your device?

Yea, that was kind of confusing me too.
If you build the app, you can store and show it on any device its compatible.
I must be missing the issue here.

Yeah, like I said, I am completely new to this. I haven't even developed an app yet. I just wanted to visually, in my head, figure out how to display it to clients. I have clients. It's just a matter of developing apps, as far as coding.
I'm sorry if my questions are either dumb or easily answered. Thanks for all the help, though.

OK man then you are getting way ahead of yourself. First your gonna need to learn a few programing languages. Like Java and C+. Hell I would even start by reading these forums for a while as you seem like you really have no idea what your getting into.

Hi,
anyone can recommend any application (if it exists) that would be able to read GPX tracks and give me a view on the watch whether I am on track or not? In best case over a map. Doesn't have to be stand alone. I usually have my phone with me anyway. I just don't want to be pulling out my phone every now and then.
Thanks.
Hey,
I´m interested in the exact same thing. Need it for biking, hiking and more.
Also I was wondering if there is a possibility to sync it with google maps or an other Navigation App on my Phone. Would love to start Maps on my Phone type in my destination and follow it on the watch. So that I don`t have to pull out my Phone again and again if I´m lost in the city for example.
Thanks
I'm interested in this too. Also, I know that Viewranger offer an Android app but not a Tizen compatible one. Does anyone know of a mapping app suitable for hiking etc. (i.e. will work with gpx route files or similar) that is available for Tizen?
I found out something already. Komoot seems to be pretty close. Although it works on Gear S3, it doesn't seem to offer this functionality yet on the watch. Offers it on sister Android application though. I sent them question/request today on this. They seem to be listening to requests from user community so perhaps they listen and act. Maybe it helps if you write them too.

Komoot have advised me that they already have an app compatible with the Gear. This is what they said:
Hi Gareth we already have done that! You can get the Gear app extension you need for the komoot app to communicate with your watch in the Samsung Gear Store. Can you tell me, which phone you are using? Best regards Daniela

I told her I've just ordered my S3 Frontier from Amazon.es and hope to get it next week, so will try their app then and report back.
Of course they have. That's what I mention above ("it works on Gear S3") but it doesn't offer the funcionality we are looking for. You can't see GPX track on watch together with your position (and map underneath it in best case) so you can follow it. I assume it offers just navigation (shows only direction signs) but Komoot doesn't navigate on external GPX tracks.
I got e-mail moment ago from them too saying:
Currently not, but you can post your suggestion in our forum here:

Hi all, I am not sure if anyone managed to get any progress on this but I am happy to inform you that finally there is an application that does what we have been looking for. It is called Gear Navigator (http://mobiteka.pl/index.php/component/k2/item/257-navigator) so feel free to test. There are still some things that can be improved but the essential features are there. I have been running it since beginning of Frebruary and I am very satisfied. Feel free to provide your comments and findings.

With Gear Navigation you can open GPX tracks and you get the map on your watch, better than Komoot in that way. It would be nice if it could work without the phone and without internet, even by just showing the tracks and your position, even without the surrounding map. That would make it more "hiker friendly" for those situations in which you may not have the phone (or need to keep it off to save battery) and you don't have any internet.
I see that the new Gear Navigation Standalone states to have GPX features, but I can't figure out how to upload a GPX to the watch or to the app!
Anyone tried it?
Well, I didn't use it without internet connection yet but I was expecting that the only limitation would be that I won!'t see the actual map but still see the track and my position. Do you say you tried but it doesn't work that way?

You're right, it seems to work even withouth internet. It keeps the map that's in cache, so if you preloaded the area you would even have the map. That's pretty sweet, kind of what the Fenix 5x does for just 800 euros!
That's great news. I was actually cooperating with the Gear Navigator developer and pursuaded him to develop the GPX feature. I did highlight to him that although the feature does what I wanted, the biggest gap I see is the inability to use the app without data connection. I even think the maps from Google are not the best for outdoor activities. He told me he will consider it but I am not very optimistic about it as it would be too much work for him and it seems that the demand is quite small.
Hi,
New owner of a samsung gear, i'm looking for what you discuss about!
Gear navigator is quiet good and seems the better!!! But something missing for me, i would like to import gpx from another place in order to follow it on the map, bit i didn't sucess.
If someone have some advice to do it, it would be great!!
Hi,
It's easy. You just click on the GPX file (in file browser, not GPX Navigator) a choose to open it in Gear Navigator.
R.
Okay, I'm trying to locate this app. Is it "Gear Navigator Standalone"? I only have a Bluetooth model so does this app need a watch with a data connection? Or does it need a phone and does it only work with Samsung phones? I've got a Blackberry Priv which is a BB ANDROID phone.
While the price of $2.99 is not outrageous, I really don't want to spend money if it is not going to work (no refund in the samsung store????).
JurekDJ, when you mention just above, open the file in the file browser, if this on a phone or on the watch - as you may be able to tell, I'm fairly new to the watch.
Any other info would be most helpful.
