My Charge has an issue. It only shows one bar of service...ever.
I am currently running Tweaked 3.0. I thought maybe I flashed a bad radio, so I flashed all the way back to ep4d and still had the same issue. It happens everywhere I go, even in areas where my son's Droid X gets 4 bars.
Any idea what I broke?
Are you running FP5 radios? Anything prior can't properly report signal to the FP5 kernel.
Yur charge with the new radios (software) displays each signal strength seperately ...so when it shows the 4g icon the signal bars display 4g signal strength...I am guessing that Yur sons Droid x displays over all data strength and uses the icon to show what kind...so his signal bars show signal strength and Yur bars show seperate data strengths

I've used Cyanowiz as a daily ROM too, no problems there!
I thought I was able to screen shot with the power and home on Cyanowiz.. But I can't remember for sure, and I'm currently running SkyICS to try out right now.

I've posted a reply on your thread.
That's typical of the Skyrocket build of CM7. I change the blank signal bars to dBm value. To do so go to Settings > CyanogenMod Settings > Interface > Status Bar Tweaks > Alternate signal display.

Have my stock rooted 2.3.6 a2 that loses its 4G connection every ten-fifteen minutes. It will be blue, then white and seem as if its searching for signal. It does this often...any way to fix it? I live in the salt lake city area of Utah so there's no problem with the towers...any help would be greatly appreciated
Might check your battery manager and make sure you don't have a profile set up to kill your data connection after a set length of time.
Got the same problem,i'm on victory rom.
I guess it's the issue with 2.3.6 base rom (cmiiw).
I choose performance battery mode.

have you done anything recently to the phone, like installing something maybe you should go to your previous ROM when it was OK
With the [ROM] CM9 / LiquidSmooth / AOKP / Random ICS build, is anyone else getting the grayed out 4G signal indicator instead of the usual light blue?

Yes everyone is on Twisted's latest build. He already knows about this and is working on it. It doesn't bother me as long as it works who cares. Just my opinion though.

I think you misunderstood his question, the issue on his builds is that the signal bars don't show properly on 4G. For instance on his earlier builds I got 2 bars all the time on 4G (or 6 full bars with the 6 bar signal mod), but with his new build I get no bars on 4G.
The gray and blue colors always work though, it shows whether or not your phone can communicate with Google.

I understood it correctly. The reason why it has always shown the same bars is because the RIL was hacked. No legitimate sources were ever given to build ics AOSP. Team liquid hacked the RIL to make it work. Its been like that since day one. But Twisteds new build doesn't show any blue bars in the signal and is currently working on that. Correct?

I agree; I just wanted to make sure I was not the only one.

Right now on the 11/18 release on .9 radios I have 2 blue bars on 3g and blue "bars" on WiFi. LTE stays gray but u will get up/down arrows when there's data.
I'm also getting a more consistent signal and slightly better battery life with the .9 radio compared to .19.

Thanks for the heads up on the radio.

Def gonna check out the radio I think I'm using the .19 ones and I have the same thing here gray 4G always with 2 bars. Love the rom though. Tried a couple other ics ones but to me this one is the best.
Signal bars show the correct color for me and the data arrows work correctly on the .19 radios with the new build. This isn't a radio related issue just so you guys know. If it is gray or the signal isn't correct it is probably smali related.

To think if the op would of read twisted rom thread. He would of known right quick its a known issue and why it doesn't display the signal bars. Everyone who is using latest build their 4g shows no bars.

Firmware: CM10.1.2
Recovery: CWM
Notes: Full wipe, cache partition, dalvik cache, erased SD card, etc. Closest thing to a clean slate as possible before flashing.
I flashed CM10.1.2 and then GAPPS and then the new skyrocket radio because I was unable to hold a connection for more than 2 seconds before calls dropped. It was essentially unusable until I upgraded the radio. I don't seem to be missing calls but the poor reception is hurting my battery and the data speeds are very slow. Last I checked, I was without a signal 40% of the time whereas before it was close to 0.
Right now, it pretty much always stays on 4G and 0 bars. Occassionally 1 and then briefly at 2 bars inside and outside. However, whenever I get a call, it immediately switches to H+/3G and then I have full bars. So I'm not really sure what's happening. I also seem to be receiving texts on time without lag.
I've gone in and chosen a network - there are three options for ATT in my area and choosing any one of them doesn't make a difference.
Is there something I'm doing wrong? Any suggestions?
That's what's supposed to happen

I'm supposed to have really slow 4G speeds and connectivity that drains my battery?

That depends on your area and the radio used. I was talking about the switch to 3g when making a call.

Ahh, okay.
I am using the ATT official JB radio. Before I upgraded the radio and the firmware, I had pretty good reception when I was CM10.0 so that's why I'm confused about the reception problems now.
Have you tried the latest Rogers radio?
