[Q] htc sensation stuck on cyanogenmod screen - HTC Sensation

my htc sensation is stuck on the cm screen after flashing cm10 jelly bean rom, it's been like that for 3 hours, i realized that i forgot to turn on smart flash on 4ext ... i don't know what to do now, can anyone please help me?

Remove battery ...then reinsert it...child power + volume down ...it takes you to bootloader ...select recovery from there ....enable smart flash and reflash the ROM without wipe and then reboot ...done

i can't.. my phones gets stuck at the cm boot page every time i turn it on

I think you have to use the new 4EXT Touch Recovery to enable SmartFlash..
4EXT Recovery Classic v2.2.7 RC5 doesn't have that option.. (Someone correct me if I am wrong..)

Okay, now visit
THIS THREAD, and carefully follow the steps 2, 3 & 4.
In Step 4B., just use your CyanogenMod Rom instead of Android Revolution HD..
Best of Luck! :good:

I'm a gnex owner but I rooted my friends sensation Yesterday using the toolkit in the Dev section. So everything unlocked and rooted fine, I go to flash him a Jb ROM and it gets stuck at the boot screen. So I messed around with it and figured out it still had s-on , so I try to flash a sense ROM thinking you can flash them with s-on but they still get stuck at boot screen any help and ideas what's wrong?

What's the best way to get this recovery without abd?
get s-off, its not that hard .. not sure why everyone is so hesitant to do it
then install 4ext, you can do it through a terminal on the phone or get the 4ext updater app thing
for ICS/JB youll need to update the firmware as well
Soff is a good thing. You might want to s off his device
I'm s off and I don't regret it. It just makes things a bit easier. I agree with above post. It's definitely worth the extra effort.

Hi,
Go to settings /power and untick fastboot.
Power the phone off,or remove the battery.
Power on holding the volume down and power button.
Go to recovery and enable "Smartflash" just before installing the ROM.
Should be fine after that.

[Q] Tried to Root HTC ONE X stuck at 'This build is for development purposes only'

Disclaimer: I am a noob!:cyclops: Wont understand jargon.
I tried rooting my HTC device and went through all the instructions as given by an youtube video. 'HTC One X - Root (in-depth)' by 'itvraag'
(I understand no links allowed till 10 posts but this might be an emergency! )
I am stuck at the Recovery section and am unable to get beyond the Recovery mode (screen).
The video says the next step is installing from the .zip file which I have downloaded onto my sd card.
I have got a bootloader screen which says 'Tampered' at the top. So, I guess, its not yet rooted?
I would appreciate solutions.
Thank you!:highfive:
p.s. The phone restarts in the normal At&T mode when done so and hence, its working as in stock.

This is the One S thread. Anyways, at bootloader, where it says tampered, it should also say unlocked. There is also recovery as an option in the menu. Have you flashed a custom recovery yet? If so, select recovery and use power button to select it and boot into your custom recovery. If not, select fastboot, and flash a custom recovery.

I tried to do both i.e. the Fastboot to flash a custom recovery and again into the recovery mode. I get the same HTC screen and am unable to go further.
Are there any other ways?

Dont follow crappy youtube vids.
Solutions for your problem are easy to find your just stupid =)

ViperS 5.0 Bootloop fix please!

hey guys, so I flashed the viperS sense 5.0 Rom using 4ext flash with smart flash enabled. I even flashed the kernel separately and when that didnt work i even used the venom kernel flasher. p.s,when i tried to push kernel modules in the kernel flasher, it gave me an error and it didnt work. My device is on S-ON.
whenever i boot the device, it goes into bootloop.
Help please!

read thish guide, step EXTRA1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1631861
Extract the boot.img file from the ROM's zip file and flash it via adb after you have flashed the rom.
After the rom is flashed:
1) Reboot into the bootloader and go into fastboot
2) Connect your phone to your computer
3) Extract the boot.img file from the ROM
4) Open a command terminal in the folder where you've extracted the boot.img file by holding shift and right click, and clicking on "Open command window here".
5) Type
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
and press enter
6) Wait until you get an okay message, and then reboot your phone
Hope this helps.
