Movie on TV screen but subtitles on tablet screen - Asus Transformer TF700

Hey guys, I just have 5 day of having a TF700, and overall I am very satisfied. Yesterday I tried to watch a movie on my TV (LG Plasma 50") and everything was smooth, but still there is a little problem... the subtitles for the movie shows on the tablet screen but the movie shows on the TV with BSPlayer, is there any other player I can try?

Try MX Player or DicePlayer.

Thanks for the suggestions, but MX Player can't handle my movies, and Dice Player even with an option to output the subs over the HDMI cable, still shows the subs in the tablet screen and not in the TV, any other idea is welcome...

Best video app?

Whats the best app for video? This is my first android so i don't know what is "best." i need it to play MKV, Mp4, AVI, etc.... all @ HD.
MX Video Player
Thanks i will try it.
MX works very good on Fire.
Just watched Modern Family mkv in HD (720p), hardware accelerated, without lags and nothing.
PS. The only problem was the audio channel that didn't work in HW mode. Just changed that to SW decoding and everything was fine.

Yep, MX Video Player is the best video player for the Kindle Fire.

It's working on my mkv files very well. I also had to switch audio to software decode.

what about vplayer?
I have always trusted in VLC Player, however, technically its still in closed beta for Android, and not available for direct download via the Market.
With the OP being new to Android, I guess I might be expecting a little too much to say, Google for it (VLC-neon.apk), and sideload it?! But I'm putting it out there anyway!

How do you get it to work where you the gray pullup bar on the bottom doesn't interfere with the onscreen controls? Also, do you know if it can stream from Dropbox/Sugarsync? I haved some vids on SS that I stream on Moboplayer, but can't get them to stream on MX.

Watching movies on the Skyrocket?

I've never done this before.
I'd like to download some torrent TV shows and play them back on my Skyrocket.
What movie playback app do I need to do this?
Most torrent TV shows are .mpg/mpeg. I also rip .MKV files so want to watch those also.
Hopefully something that lets me adjust audio synch, since Netflix synch is out of whack when used with bluetooth to my car stereo. Off by about 1/2 second or more.
EDIT, looks like this was easier than I thought. Here is a player that says it does mkv:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...DEsImNvbS5ic3BsYXllci5ic3BhbmRyb2lkLmZyZWUiXQ..
EDIT #2 - yep, plays back MKV non-HD perfectly. Have not tested anything else or bluetooth yet.
If I remember correctly VLC player has playback for literally everything

I used mobo player on my tablet it can play everything
CM9 Skyrocket
The best video player imo is MX player. Frequent updates and massive format support at the very least make it a candidate

How about actually subscribing to a service?
Your movie viewing experience on your Skyrocket will be awesome.
I have Netflix, HBO Go, WATCHESPN, and Xfinity TV for streaming movies and TV shows.
I also, on occasion, rip DVDs that I buy if the Digital Copy is not included, load them on my Skyrocket.
Do yourself a favor, avoid the aggravation and actually subscribe to some service.
My 2 cents.

Mkv files, no sound?

I got my tf300 yesterday and it great except for one thing. I get no sound when i play my mkv 720 movies or series? I have tried both streaming and local. Tried diceplayer, the built in player and moboplayer without success. MX player worked when i turned of h/w and used s/w instead but then the movies "lagged". Cant get it to work, Anyone have a clue what i can do to make it work?

MX will play them via HW but you need to click the sound key next to the HW/SW button and select the other audio track. Worked for me.
Ah, that works, Thanks. Anyone get any other player to work?
I have had good results using BS player lite. And it is cool because you can change brightness by swiping up and down in the left side of the screen and change volume the same way on the right

DO NOT DOWNLOAD VLC PLAYER FOR ANDROID!
VLC is still in development, and apks have not been released. If you find a VLC apk, it is not real or it is based on very early, probably buggy code. One person that mentioned having it said that s/he had very intrusive ads. Judging by all other VLC releases on every other platform, the real VLC for Android will not have ads, or at least not obnoxious, intrusive ads.
Diceplayer plays 1080p nicely, as long as you don't got dual audio.
Glad to hear MX player can handle different audiostreams! Now i can get my anime on!
I'll guess i will use MX or bsplayer then. I just find it a bit odd that the same files plays with no problem on my galaxy S2 with dice player..

SOLUTION!!!!
Absolute EASIEST SOLUTION!!!!!
Im running serviio from my pc and typically steam to my samsung tv's
But the easiest solution to stream directly to my s3 (i747 aokp task650)
Is:
Download and install these two apps
1.Bubble upnp https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bubblesoft.android.bubbleupnp
2. Joe VLC https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=the.joevlc
Ive used mx and bs in the past, but this solution is just too easy and fast...
P. S. Ive streamed everything from small avi family guy episodes to 15gb mkv bluray files and this setup is boss..
Only issues i found was minute pixelation when in full screen mode on large files 12gb+ and some buffering when i jump around in said video but other than that its awesome.....
Enabling hw decoding in JoeVlc app takes care of any pixel issues but eats battery...
Happy streaming!
got it
yo
just do to ( in the MX player) Settting -> Decoder--> download custom codec
than u will be direct to a website .. just follow the instraction
worked perfect for me..
thank u it works good
VLC media player has been officialy released some time ago works great with .mkv

mx player has played everything i have thrown at it....give it a shot.
its a very nice player, haven't had any problems with it.
however, not sure if i have tried avi...but pretty sure i have.
See my thread here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1730177.
I've been using the Dice player and I've been watching my movies in .m4v format, plays good.
mx player here aswell it plays everything with out fault for me
vlc player is working good for me

I need to try VLC, but I'm using Dice Player Ad from the market right now. Plays everything I've thrown at it so far. I tried MX Player first but I was having to use SW decoding to get audio to play with my mkv files, Dice doesn't have that issue.

MX PLAYER really did good job on TF300T
audio in AC3 coded is not supported by the system default, MX Player could play that.
Is your player a free app or a pro apk?
My MX player pro that I got from google crashes every couple seconds
I downloaded the free version, which there is no difference besides a ad when you aren't watching

I like BSPlayer. It seems to work well.
I think that 50 fps are over 30 fps max of HW video decoder capabilities.
Also i suspect a very high bitrate from a video camera file...
I don't think that you will be able to play it smoothly with any software.
I have Mobo, MX and BSplayer. Absolutely BSplayer does the best job. If it doesn't play your video, nothing will. You may have to re-encode with Handbrake.
Just tried the BSPlayer, you are right, it plays everything even files that the Mobo couldn't, thanx a lot for the tip!
