I've been trying to change to gingerbread theme for mini pro, did something wrong though and not all elements were functioning properly so I tried to restore the original framework, copied the original, previously copied framework.res and pasted it into /system/framework folder. The phone turned off and all i got now is sony ericsson loading text when trying to turn it on again. I'm completely new with android so please help. How can i put it into recovery mode to install firmware from the beginning or make it work any other way?
I was trying to change my bootanimation and accidentally deleted the system stock bootanimation file on root explorer.
I think I deleted the one from system/bin and the one in system/media.
Now i have no bootup screen...it's just black.
I tried replacing both of them with the bootanimation.zip file i wanted to use and nothing has worked.
Sorry I'm new at this and have googled and read as much as i can. I successfully changed the bootanimation screen the first time but i wanted to change it again and accidentally deleted the original bootanimation folder, which i guess you needed.
I'm afraid to do a system recovery because I have a rooted phone and I'm using Boost with it. I don't know if that will effect it in a bad way.
Please help!

I have rooted Sony Xperia C and added some fonts to /system/fonts. I have changed /etc/fallback_fonts.xml file and forgot to change the file permissions. Now my phone is not booting. Is there a way to change the file permissions without booting the phone?

Same thing happened to me. Tried to get a console through ADB, didn't work. Had to install the ROM again. The next time I didn't modify fallback_fonts.xml but renamed my font into an existing one and replaced the existing font. It worked.

Hello guys!
I tried to change screen density on my N8000 (TouchWiz KitKat [N8000XXUDNE4]) with build.prop editor. It has changed but the value was wrong and I could saw only some part of the screen so I was not able to change it back via build.prop editor app. So I did it on my laptop (copied build.prop file on SD than edited it on laptop and copied it back to \system folder.
Now my tab doesn't boot it stucks on Samsung flashing logo... :crying: :silly:
Where did I messed thing up? Will placing similar file from other device (N8000 with same ROM) help?
Could any one please share his original build.prop file with me?? (igemmon at gmail.com)
Many thanks in advace!!!

Hi guys. I have a Samsung GT-S7582 which has a carrier bootanimation or whatever you wanna call it. I want to remove it. I already have cwm recovery installed and it is rooted. The bootanimation files in /system/media are:
samsungbootloop.qmg
samsungboot.qmg
shutdown.qmg
I've tried downloading custom .qmg animation, renamed and moved them to the directory stated above, thereby overwriting the original .qmg files. Also tried simply moving the originals some place else then move the customized ones to the said directory.
The carrier's bootanimation is still showing, as well as the shutdown animation.
I also flashed a non-carrier stock ROM, but carrier animation is still there.
Does this mean the bootloader is locked? If it's locked, is there a way to unlock?
