Hi guys ...
Yesterday I installed Ice Cream Saga Final rom and run v6Supercharger script in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1859700
I get error when switch to Andromadus CM10 by flinny (restore from nandroid backup), Xda app icon appear but when I open it say App's not installed. I try restore from TB but never success, restore process never end. Reinstall Xda app.apk from sdcard can not be done too. I clear cache, dalvik cache, fix permission then reinstall Xda app again get same error, app can not be install.
Then... I do clean install (format all partition except sdcard+factory data reset) Andromadus (build 122) + latest test kernel + gapps but still can't install Xda app.apk from sdcard.
I try install from Google Play but can't be install too.

How to fix this??? Anyone please help.

Did you delete any folders on your sd card or remove the card? Does the app show up in titanium as installed or un installed?

Hmm, apps are stored in the data portion of the backup. Where do you install your apps? To SDcard or to the phone's internal storage? If you're not installing them to the internal storage I'm not sure where they would be or whether they're being backed up at all.
If you're not installing them to the SD card, try this. Do your restore then reboot then go back into recovery and do an advanced restore and just do /Data.
Hi
Yesterday i wanted to check out a new Rom. So i did a Backup in cwm 5. I flashed the new Rom, After wipeing and factory Reset. Off course i did not touch fat32.
When i restored my backup it looked like a complete fresh install.
Can anyone explain what happened???
Really...no ideas at all?

Could you explain fresh install? I mean fresh install of your old rom or the new one.
I'm really still new to flashing but i think if you do a nand backup you backup your entire old rom.
Still one tested advice, next time backup your apps with titanium backup, copy backup on pc, wipe all, install rom, format sd card, after that restore apps using titanium backup, i think thats as clean and tidy as it gets. You don't need to format sd card but its cleaner that way.
Hope it helped.
P.S: Some roms (especially ICS and JB) need the partition to be formatted as ext (extended) partition still idk if a rom will automatically format the partition, my bro nedded to manually reformat using cwm, i didn't really follow the process when i was adding my ics rom but i didn't need to repartition, at least not manually.
By fresh install i mean like if you just flashed a rom without doing any configuration or installing anything.

Well it is a new rom, what you backed up as far as i understand is your old rom with settings, so it's just normall for the new rom to be fresh installed.
Today I tried to install viper rom. before I did that, I made a backup of my current axiom s rom using twrp. I also used titanium backup to move apps to sd card beforehand cuz I didn't want to reinstall everything. When installing viper I chose the full wipe option. When I rebooted I noticed that phone was stuck on an endless black screen, so I restored with my last backup. problem is now even with the backup I don't have any apps in my app drawer except stock rom apps! I installed a file explorer and noticed app data still present. my question is is there any way to restore these apps?
app icons are still on my home screen launcher bt when I press them they say "application not installed". When I try to reinstall using an apk, it asks me if I want to overwrite. This means the app is definitely still on my phone, just not accessible. Please help!

Have you already tryed to reinstall an app?
Can you find the apps in settings-apps?
And if you can find the apps in settings, try to delete data and cache of the apps.
And have you tryed to wipe cache in recovery?
Hi,
Yesterday i restored my old stock rom backup, successfuly ofcourse
I saw that many apps were moved to sd card( sd card wasnt partitioned that time). And eventually data of those apps were in my sd card which i formatted before! So when i open those apps it says no longer linked to phone theni decided to factory reset because it was a hell lotta mess.....so i did a factory reset from recovery menu and rebooted!
And now i am stuck in a bootloop
I just wanted a fresh start of my rom
Any type of help?
Thanks

Usally the super user application present in the system partition. factory reset will wipe only the data partition. So super user don't affected but Settings belongs to super user also will lost...
Same thing happened to me. So i wiped everything and installed a custom rom
when i go try and reinstall a app after unstalling it TB i get out of memory error and i have 9gb free
What version of Android are you using and what ROM? What app, or is it any app?

I had that same problem. I ended up doing a tibu, then reboot into recovery. Did a backup there, just in case, then I formatted. Not wipe, format. I also removed my ext sd card to make sure that my backups were safe. After I formatted, I inserted the sd card, installed my rom, cleared caches, gapps, cleared caches, kernel, cleared caches, fixed permissions, cleared caches, then reboot system. I have been fine since.
Try that.

You wouldn't happen to have lucky patcher installed? Installing and using that on your app will cause this problem if you uninstall the app in question.
