Is there any overcooking mod for android 4.1 ? jelly bean? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

is there any kernel so far that allow over clocking on the jellybeans rom?
I want to see what over clocking would be like. I'm stuck with jelly bean, I can't go back to ICS, just personal taste, not hardware problem.
just asking is there one? i'm unable to find one in android development.
I did find one for ICS thought.

[Q] Kernel in AOKP

Hi everyone,I have a sensation xe.
I flash the Bricked's kernel, because the sweep2wake is very cool. But after i flash the kernels into AOKP, everything goes well expect the wifi.I also try RCMix's kernel, and faux's kernel, but same the result.
How could i use the phone without wifi!
I need to flash a kernel for AOKP with a feature like sweep2wake, and the wifi should be work. Can someone help me?
English is not very well, but i try my best to write these
I believe Faux has an AOSP kernel. The ones you tried are Sense based, which is the problem.

I know Faux put Sweep2Wake in his Sense versions. I am spoiled with it as well, you might shoot him a message or post in the thread and ask if a future release for AOSP will have Sweep2Wake.
suggestion, I'm on aokp since build 32...don't use custom kernels, is better with the stock one...more stable...I use it at 1ghz and is ****in' great! no lags at all, even gaming
there is no sweep2wake kernel for aosp at the moment, just wait

[Q] Custom Kernel

Hi my skyrocket is currently running 4.0.3 ics leaked rom, and I was wondering if i could flash custom kernel on ics rom, or would I have to stock gingerbread to use custom kernel. I just do not want to get bricked etc. Thank you.
It depends on the ROM, if it's SKY ICS or some other modded Samsung rom, then you pretty much have to stick with stock, or do some research because I don't really know what Kernels are available for it. Maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in...
If it's AOSP based (CM9, AOKP, Chimaira, etc), then the only other option I know of is InstigatorX's kernel, which seems to work quite well. Pick a stable version, since the latest has issues with the camera. The stock kernel for CM9 is also quite good, but the CPU governors added in Instigators are great for saving battery.

You can flash cymbaline. Don't try to flash instigator's cm9 kernal you aren't using an aosp rom. Cymbaline fits your deal nicely. You'll dig it.

I also use this kernel and in conjunction with System Tuner for OC/UV.

Overclocking for ICS

There were probably overclocking kernels for honeycomb but has anyone released an overclocking kernel for the ICS firmware? Specifically the UK version on a P6200.
And if one exists, is it stable enough or does it restart randomly?
Thank you for your time.

Currently, there is no kernel ICS , for galaxy p 6200 , that allows overclocking cpu - gpu , the kernel CM10 does not allow overclocking.....
If I remember correctly, Tegrak from the Play store allowed some simple OC on ICS... Wonder if it still works with JB/CM10...

It does not work on CM10.
What is a safe CPU freq for overclocking w/ Tegrak? I'm on stock ICS btw.
Thanks in advance
I thought Tegrak was only for the Honeycomb version of our device? ..well it is stated at the description of the application.

[Q] which kernel

just looking for some personal input from everyone, Which kernel do you all use for your xoom based on performance spped and reliability
Well in my opinion TeamEOS kernels are the best, though I'm a bit bias there since I only have used TeamEOS and no one elses. lol

Not disagreeing with you but your post is rather foolish.

Well duh? That's why I said I'm bias... Hahaha, well it does the job good enough.
I've only tried the EOS and CM kernels (included with ROM), but from those two, CM has performed better on my MZ604. Faster, less lock ups and slightly better battery life. Currently OC at 1.2Ghz.
Regards.

I don't see why not. You'd have to extract the 'zimage' file from the ROM zip and flash that. Use fastboot if you are comfortable with it. If I have time later I will make and post a flashable zip file. In the meantime you could Google how to do that, it is fairly simple.
Regards.
I'd love a flash able .zip
I'll give it a go later anyway, how do I overclock that kernel and what's the most stable Mhz for the Xoom 1....
Thanks in advance

Will that kernel work with a rooted stock 4.1.2? That's what I'm running right now but I can't overclock the CPU or mount the SD card...
Anyone have a flash able zip I could try ?

[Q] antutu benchmark test arrgg!!

I did a bench mark test using antutu, my nexus s that was currently running paranoid 2.54 and marmite 7.1.3 came up with a very humble score of 3138 , compared to others that was 4000 and higher,, how do they do that? I wish i could optimize my phone like that.

Heres the screen shot of my bench mark testing. Sorry i forgot to attach it before

ROM: Paranoid Android 2.54
Kernel: Stock @ 1200mhz
How do you that? surely its not just the rom and kernel combo?
Sent from my Nexus S using xda premium
No tweaks.
When i took that benchmark i was on PA 2.54 with stock kernel, OC'd @ 1200mhz, that's it.
Governor: Performance, I/O Scheduler: Deadline
I also got i9023 btw.

I used the stock one PA provided (same kernel CM10 uses)
