Hello Friends....HI!
Hope i am not repetitive..... but any way yahoo video calls can be done...
Pity as per the google store this was supported to 2.2+ but the same not doable in 4.0.4. NO plugin available for video/voice call after downloading YM.
Will rooting or any other thing help….any developer worked on the solution which is available online?
GT3100, ICS 4.0.4.
Thanks.
Yes it is possible. You just need to install the plug in

Thanks tapan....but the same is not working in GT P3100 ICS 4.0.4...after installing the YM and going for plugin option....same is not available in Google play..
The problem is persisting for all ICS 4.0.4 version as seen from the feedback in the google play.
Any other way of working the same???

Make a Titanium Backup of the Yahoo Video Plug-In from your phone and then move all the files associated with that backup to your TAB and "restore" from Titanium Backup.
This trick is a work around for many apps I use on my EVO4G and now my TAB2 7.0.
Thanks fsubartender....but I'm a bit new in this arena, naive infact (so pls pardon my follies).....cud not understand what u referred....infact does even know what rooting does....can u pls be bit elaborative about this titanium back up thing.....btw i have samsung tab 2 P3100 ICS 4.0.4.
thanks.

I definitely trieed google search and ofcourse seen other related topics i found in XDA.
I didnt find any solution ( or may be i missed one)
My dad bought a New Galaxy R and software version is 2.3.5 so obviously its a GingerBread.
I do not have Video and Voice chat features enabled in the (G)TALK.
I own a Nexus one (Rooted) and no issues with it.
Because my Dad's Galaxy R is NOT Rooted, how do i enable the video/audio chat ?
Use vtok its free and good app available in market for free

THank you for the reply.
Yes i tried the Vtok and it was working but it supports ONLY VIDEO chat unlike Gtalk which supports both TEXT and VIDEO.
For the time being i installed Fring on my dad's mobile.
I just wanted to know if Gtalk needs any extra settings in Galaxy R.
I Am familiar with Nexus One and other Custom Roms, but this touch Wiz seems litle ODD for me.
Is it the GALAXY R issue that the VIDEO chat is disabled ?

If the phone is rooted, try installing InfectedROM v1:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1449318
Apart from having audio/video calling, it has the advantage of being free of samsung's bloatware. I have used it for a few weeks without any problem.

welcome to jb
Thanks 4 all urs concern...!!!
Does it work in your own language or EN-US only ?
I have tried those steps on stock ICS LRG 4.04, in french, and while the installation went through, I can't find any link to google now, either in widgets or apps or settings.
The original thread has a reference to the EN-US folder I'm missing in /system/usr/srec ....
thx alot for your tutorial it was clear and helpful.
i just wanted to point out that if you have voice search (the good old one) installed you should remove it in the same way
but keeping it doesnt alter proper functioning of google now.

Do use Titanium Backup App in which u will find three tab (i.e. Overview, Backup/Restore and Schedules)
In Backup/Restore tab u ll find d GoogleQuickSearchBox.apk file in red colour....
u ve to remove that app with full wipe and uninstall
then flash...
All d Best...!!!
Works but Offline Voice Search still doesn't
It's excellent, kudos to the devs working on it.
Typed queries work fine, and the performance is awesome. No double takes, no skewered display. Locations is working too.
However there are still issues, first and foremost is the offline dictation. It is as though as its waiting for more input, so it won't search even after receiving the query through the mic, leaving it in 'braille' and waiting for more.
Can't wait for the problem to be fixed though!

We have to figure out these things as we go. Finding an easier way will spread the Google Now goodness across more devices and that means more support for us. Maybe even JB sooner.

dont know this been tested in Note Only......u can try n report back or u can try searching a thread releted Google Now in SGS2 Forum...!!!
The Google Now file is down.
Could anybody do a reup, please?
Do check
I resolved my problem where the voice program only converts to braille and appears to be waiting for more input. It is because of a bad flash when your system partition has insufficient space to store the libraries and dictation component.
You'll need at least 30MB for the Online version and 60MB if you want offline dictation, which also works if you use Google voice typing.
Clean up your system partition with Root Explorer or Titanium Backup to make space for it. Especially those Live Wallpapers you don't use.
Ensuring you got enough space in system would also probably fix and FCs or other hiccups.
It runs very well on my Galaxy Note ICS 4.0.4 TW with Nova Launcher. Its visibly faster in recognition and the cards appear correctly. Excellent work, developers.

very happy about this--- now I can watch the Daily Show with John Stewart and full South Park episodes again!
NOTE: Installed without any problems. Then I tried to use it with Chrome, but still only see the "Get Flash" sticker link displayed on pages requiring Flash. Suspecting this could either be website-specific or specific to Chrome, I went to the same sites using the default Internet Browser that ships on our phones. The worked perfectly. Anyone able to see this working with Chrome for Android?
I tested on a SG3 GT-I9305 running stock firmware and 4.1.1, rooted CWMR
