Okay, I rooted my TF101 B90 model and all was good. I installed rom manager and flashed its custom recovery and had that whole issue that the sd card wasn't read and such. After much frustration I finally tried Wheelie (Nvflash) and it keeps failing and now I have nothing on my tablet. I can get into APX mode and flashing the stock rom using many custom utilites always fails (Usually says something like command failure :go failure or could not load bootloader to device) I'm sure it's probably fixable, I just need someone to type it out for me (I'm pretty smart when it comes to Android but I'm honestly stumped right now) Or please redirect me to a post that could help, However I have read a lot of the posts about this and everyone is getting there's to work and I can't get mine. Thank you!!!
Andrew
Hi, guys and gals!
I'm new to the forums, I had a question to ask and I apologize now if this might be too broad or maybe just a stupid question(s).
So, I have a ASUS transformer infinity, the Tf700t tablet which is on the 10.6.1.14.4-20130329
And i've been looking around to figure how why the hell this thing is so slow!, And over researching everyone seems to ultimately point to downloading custom roms like updating the tablet with these i guess jailbreaking methods.
A couple months ago I managed to unlock my device (when I load up the tablet, when it says ASUS on the top left if says this device is unlocked).
Now my question is, I found this CROMI-X, forum on this website that tells you how upgrade the device, and it keeps telling me to root my device, which I can't seem to find anywhere the most recent on for the build that i am on (10.6.1.14.4), also I've downloaded TWRP and i was suppost to make a recovery img or something a ".blob" and it was asking me to write down the exact name of my tablet and I can't seem to find where that is, and i guess you can say I got cold feet to accept since it said that my device can get bricked, SO my question would be, is there any kind of guide out there with the latest updates i'm assuming kitkat? for noobies like me or maybe a video tutorial on how to do all this.
Cause i literally only have my device unlocked, I don't think i've actually rooted my device.
But yea that's about it, sorry if im asking for too much i thought this would be my only hope on making this tablet worth my while, cause this thing wont stop lagging (i've tried cold booting and restoring this thing like 10 times nothing seems to be doing the trick).
Thanks again

Everyone knows how bad the stock Asus comparing to your Crombi-kk, haha...
@lj50036 that you find and take the time to answer questions like these is nothing short of amazing considering the work you put in for this tablet. My hat goes off to you, Sir!
I think we can mark this thread as SOLVED
The Solution
So here is what we did
@duperdavid has his tablet unlocked already....:good:
All I did was help him install fastboot, adb, and Windows drivers which can be tricky.....
We than installed TWRP with fastboot
Code:
fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery twrp.blob
Than we got him a ROM and a GAPPS
Made a backup with twrp.... Than did a full wipe of internal...
Than he did not have a sd card so we pushed the rom and gapps onto the tablet while it was booted into twrp
Code:
adb push nameoffile.zip /sdcard
Than we flashed new rom & gapps
booted into Rom !!!!! Win
We backed up his Nvflash blobs also

Hello All,
I tried to find the best place in the forum to put this thread, i hope this one is ok.
Three days ago i made a big mistake trying to root my ASUS TF103C, i have downloaded a wrong zip file with scripts for ZenFone5 and execute a .bat that destroy the tablet (totally my fault). i spent three days reading and trying everything, i read all the forums and tried lot of fastboot procedures and also EasyFlash with stock firmware "WW_epaduser9_2_1_27UpdateLauncher" but nothing. To make it worst (after reading a lot) i realize that i don't have recovery (power+volume down is not working) and i'm sure that my bootloader is locked (since i didn't unlocked) .... I don't know what else to do i'm sure it must be a way to flash a new firmware with fastboot, i mean, i don't want to loose the hope :crying: . At this point i really don't care which firmware , which android version i just want to revive the tablet.
I read this forum A LOT and i know you are experienced people with android and procedures like this.
PLEASE , can you help me ?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my english.
Hello Pr0sper,
i am quite a n00b too but i am suffering a similar error with my tf101 and was trying a lot too.
So just to make sure you did everything:
Are you able to connect your Tablet with your Pc? Is the PC recognising the connection with your Pc?
Is Cold-booting Linux available?
Can you start APX mode on Tablet?
Did you run ADB?
Regards
Bava
here is my problem, I work as a sysadmin however my knowledge of Linux (android) is sort of limited compared to windows.
I recently was brought an ACER Iconia B1-720 which has gotten infected with a seemingly vey harsh strain of virus, it keeps popping up lock screens, and if the tablet connects to internet the AD spam is massive.
trying to do a factory reset, didn't help, nor a hard reset since after the initial setup all the infected software is there.
also the USB debugging option is nowhere to be seen on the settings menu, and APPs don't have the uninstall button, thus after taking into consideration all this, I have gotten to the conclusion my best bet is to sideload from the PC into the tablet a recovery firmware using ADB, however ADB is not recognizing the tablet when I type "adb devices" and thus I m left at a lost of what should I do to recover this tablet into working condition.
can someone please advice me on what to do? or how I could restore the tablet? is there any sort of command line or software I could install in the tablet to manage and clean it manually?
I managed to disable most of the crapware and make the table usable WITHOUT internet connection, so I m assuming I can use the SD card to load some app into it to fix it manually, what app could I use?
Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
Try looking through this thread and posting your question there, if it won't let you post it will be because you need to make 10 posts before you can post in a development thread. You need your stock firmware if it is in that thread among the variants of your model.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/acer-ax-b1-t2875894
To get your 10 posts in you can go to one of the Off-Topic(OT) Forum linked below. Choose one the threads there to make your 10 posts then go post your issue in the first thread I linked you to.
Remember to register an XDA account so you can post and reply in the forums. Good luck.
So my aging TF300TG is so slow, that i was gonna discard it for new hardware. As a last ditch effort i searched for a solution and found this forum.
But the more i read about flashing, the more worried i became. That's why i could use some help.
I have read the Beginners Guide and i've unlocked the bootloader (says "Bootloader is Unlocked" on reboot) and i've confirmed ADB and fastboot are working, by using "fastboot devices"
The next step is flashing a recovery. This is where i got scared. Posts like this warn that flashing the wrong recovery is disastrous and will likely brink my device. Also i can't seem to find a recovery that was made for the TF300TG, and i don't know if a TF300T variant will work or not. So please help me locate the best recovery.
I've read about NvFlash Flatline. What is this and should i do this before flashing recovery ? how does this prevent me from ever getting bricked ?
Some INFO that might help you. Please ask if more is needed.
I plan on using KatKiss - KatshMallow
Bootloader says "WW_epad-10.6.2.11-20131213" A03
Tablet is a TF300TG with stock android version 4.2.1 Jelly Bean
Thank you for taking the time to read, and hopefully respond to this post. I really would prefer to get it right the first time.
Took the plunge and just tried stuff without knowing if it would work, but it did. I now have a TF300TG, working as a TF300T running marshmallow.
I flashed
Code:
twrp_tf300t_kang_2.8.7.2.img
using fastboot and then followed the install instructions in KatKiss - KatshMallow post and it all worked like a charm.
Was a bit worried when formatting /DATA took 30 mins, but besides that the tablet is very fast and i've had no problems at all.
Thanks for posting this. I have a TF300TG too but never really used the mobile data capability and as a device it just never has been that useful for me, seemed good at the time I bought it . I have been looking at other options of installing linux etc but all project I could find are incomplete and dead. I thought I might be resigned to getting another device, so I was very pleased to see what you had done and have followed your lead. I am very happy with the Katkiss 6.0 ROM, it performs much better that the old Jellybean system, and using the Microsoft office apps I have everything I need to get useful jobs done easily.
Good job Brian & the KATKISS team, much appreciated!
Edit: useless post
Glad everything worked
