you can update attachment file in CWN recovery to root a700 in JB.
Source: frandroid forum.
I tried and successful.

I've the same problem.
Does this update work on stock ROM ?
Just an info, where did you get this update?
Is a bit that I try but I did not find a way to root the OTA JB in the Android Development forum.

I did it on a clean JB ROM. It's not upgrade from ICS ROM.

See this thread for installing a custom kernel w/root, or just installing a custom ROM. There is no easier way to get root than to just flash Vorbeth's Kernel.

I'm so sorry. I know there's a sticky on Rooting, but I'm still confused.
I don't want to flash a new rom. All I want to do is root my 10.1 while keeping it safe and stick with the Samsung os.
I downloaded ExynosAbuse apk and ran it on my tablet, and tapped Root, but it said it failed. No reason given.
Are there other steps I'm supposed to take?

This is pure stock AOSP 4.4 rom for Xperia L. C2104/C2105 (mine is C2104). extra features____ Google Experience launcher.
This is also my first official rom build..... if any bug you found which is not mentiond please tell me..if you want to edit my build rom please tell me before done
I Just need some more hours. I will upload modified system.img, boot.img as my last build was got error 7 for updater script system.img will no need of updater script. please keep clam.wait for tommorrow IST.
after i am done i will provide a new link thread. so if this thread locked before tommrow please keep your eye on android dev section. next build must working

yes it is tested on my device.running well. first is for cwm as stock 4.4 kernel has not cwm and second one for booting 4.4. forgot to mention you must be have to on 4.2.2 stock firmware..otherwise wifi not working

Because there is no AOSP kernel with recovery and you need to flash the rom thru it.First kernel got recovery,but cant boot AOSP rom,second kernel dont have recovery,but can boot it
And one question for the OP.Why all your links are same? Or only i got that problem? All the links goes to file with name "for cwm" 6.8MB...

Not simple. Need full root as this needs to be flashed through a custom recovery and overwrite system files. Not as simple as copy paste apk file, reboot and cross fingers. Have already been tried if u used the search at all.
